Im building the deck and only need 1x Oblivion Sower and 2x Eye of Ugin because i already have 1 ... its viable to play with 2 Eyes only? because i only have one so i buy another one and Oblivion and finish the deck ...
I play with 2 Eyes and have very few problems. This deck is MUCH more about the grind than it is about the burst.

I'm looking to cut down to 2 Eyes in the deck that I played over the weekend because the double Eye hands we're almost always a snap mulligan. I just didn't feel that I needed the second eye in the deck as it is more of a grind out deck that has explosive potential.

It really depends where you are at with the rest of the deck. If you are running expedition maps, I don't think you need more than 2. If you don't want to run maps, I'd pick them up now rather than wait for the price to change. If anything it will go up because Eldrazi will get more exposure as more tournament results come out and RG Tron is still very popular as well. How many Oblivion Sowers are you currently running? I don't think we will ever go back to running the complete 4x ever again.

As of now there is no set recommended decklist. We are still all in brew phase. I think you should be fine on Sowers with 3. All those things you have mentioned are also up for debate in this variant (with the exception of Eyes and Urborgs being pretty consensus 2:2:2 or 3:2:0 Eye:Urborg:Map). Mono black cares more about ramp than we do which is why Sowers come out and Reality Smashers went in. Thought-knot Seers are looked at as a minimum of 3 in this variant as well. It's just such a house.

Look a couple pages back for my decklist. The set just came out so that is why you haven't seen a ton. I am running 3x TKS and 2x Reality Smasher.
The thing is, the strangler is ONLY good vs. aggro decks. What other creature are you ever going to use that thing against? Late game, it's pretty terrible as well since it's unlikely it will kill anything. Secondly, what if you have no relics? And you're getting aggro'd? Then you cast the Strangler for zero value. He's just a vanilla blocker. Whereas the reshaper is good at any point in the game. If he eats a path, you won that trade. If you get to trade, you 2 for 1'd your opponent. I think, ultimately, the versatility of the reshaper trumps the limited uses the strangler has. There are moments where the strangler does outshine the shaper, but I don't think that happens as often as the other way around. I also noticed that my opponents will play the game very differently when a reshaper comes in. They will try to figure out a way for it to not die. And that's pretty important since it can buy you time.
That's my conclusion after playing against a variety of aggro decks.

You don't actually 2 for 1 with Reshaper unless the thing you flip comes into play. I almost always have things to process because of 4x Path and 4x Relic in main (and against aggro I also have Flaying Tendrils). Also saying it's useless against non-aggro is false. It kills bobs, huntmasters, Olivia, goyf (because of relic shrinking it's size). It also makes a beater in games where you need it to (Tron as an example). Also if you play it for "no value" (as you put it) and it gets pathed.. you get the SAME value as Reshaper.. 1 tapped basic. If you block Reshaper has a small potential to give you something else into play but otherwise gives you a random card from the top. That isn't worth the possibility of a 2 for 1 on EBT regardless of what your opponent does.

Here is my build, it changes often but only tinkering around the edges. The core cards stay the same.
As Exatraz says, this deck is still in the beta phase and is being fine-tuned to use brand-new cards and fit into a severely shaken up metagame. Expect it to settle down during the Pro Tour season.
I'm brand new here, so I would appreciate any help. I really like the new eldrazi decks, but I'm trying to decide which route is the most competitive. I think the bw list from SCG looks very promising for my local meta and if the overall meta becomes more aggro. However, I need help deciding how many of each creature I should be running and sideboard options for a stompy/midrange build. I would also consider a more over the top build as well. I have Bloodstained Mires in for the Marsh Flats because I don't have any.
I currently am running:
Creatures(17)
4 Blight Herder
4 Thought-Knot Seer
3 Reality Smasher
3 Wasteland Strangler
2 Oblivion Sower
1 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
Spells(18)
4 Relic of Progenitus
1 Dismember
1 Go for the Throat
4 Path to Exile
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
3 Lingering Souls
1 Thoughtseize
Lands(25)
1 Plains
2 Swamp
2 Caves of Koilos
4 Eldrazi Temple
3 Ghost Quarter
3 Godless Shrine
3 Bloodstained Mire
1 Shambling Vent
1 Vault of the Archangel
3 Eye of Ugin
2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Sideboard
2 Spellskite
2 Stony Silence
2 Disenchant
2 Surgical Extraction
2 Flaying Tendrils
3 Timely Reinforcements
1 All is Dust
1 Celestial Purge
The decks that I believe will be a poor match up at my local game store are Infect, Affinity, Abzan combo, lantern control, and burn/goblins.
I'm open to all suggestions because I'm not sure of the land base, sideboard, and the number of each creature. Do I want any Leyline of Sanctity???
How would I deal with the Abzan combo? Relic/Surgical the Finks and/or Flaying Tendrils the board??? What other cards should I be considering for the sideboard for other matchups? Thanks in advance.
I stand behind 2 eye & urborg, like i posted earlier it reduces your virtual mulligans over the course of the day and you have a back up if the first gets GQ'd.
I saw Sorin, Solemn Visitor mentioned a couple of pages back, but it got no response. For my own curiosities sake, I would also like to hear peoples opinion of the card in this deck. Some junk lists run him as a 1-2 of and life-linking with rhinos and goyfs works, so doing the same with our bigger guys and even our tokens can't be a bad thing. I feel like he would make the small zoo and burn match-ups a bit better and he is also a good on his own, as he can create flying bodies.
I fully realize that skull-crack and Atrakas command are played and that they can easily play around the life gain with these, but if that is the case, vault of the archangel wouldn't be viable either and this a 1 time 4 mana investment instead of a 5 mana every turn. Additionally +ing Sorin lasts until our next turn so it allows us to swing and leave defenders, effectively requiring 2 anti-life-gain spells, which they could definitely have but it we need to draw them out someway or another. One thing I cannot argue is that lore wise he has no place fighting alongside the Eldrazi, lol! Thoughts?
Also having originally been all for playing maps in the deck, via my own testing I have found the card to be more detrimental than helpful.. In my opening hands I often find it competing with my discard spells or my relics for my turn 1 spell, and in the late game when I need to some action I feel like I always draw into it. I have done some testing without the maps and found that while I may mulligan to 6 more, I have not missed the card what so ever and that the scry has been more than enough to keep me going (maybe I've just been lucky).
2 Eyes is fine, I have been playing 2 without maps and I have never felt the need to up the number.
I'm actually really liking a 1-of md displacer. early game he's a slightly more powerful vanilla body than strangler and reshaper and late game he's a cheap to cast powerhouse.
Sorin Solemn Visitor is interesting, we definitely produce enough tokens in a given game that we can benefit from his ability, and getting BW by turn 4 seems very doable. As of right now I feel PW are kind of spice in the soup for this deck. I want to figure out what numbers of what eldrazi seem to work best, and then once I figure out what can be cut I would like to test w/ Lili and Sorin. (I feel like the spells are pretty on lock).
I've been testing w/ the new Kozilek and I'm really not sure what I think about him. I will say that I've never lost a game where I got to cast him, but I think in most cases a second Ulamog would have been just as good (and I didn't like playing 2 Ulamogs when I tested w/ it) That said, I will say Koz has been good in very specific games. I was able to counter a scapeshift w/ a discarded TKS to win, and in burn and infect matchups I've been able to counter their burn and pump spells w/ discards and relics that would otherwise kind of been dead draws. For now I'm going to leave him in.
Since I know other people are testing w/ Reality Smasher: how worth it has he been to you? He is certainly a powerful difficult to remove threat but he's always seemed a little win more to me. I've never really felt that Smasher helped me win a game I wasn't already more or less in control of. I'm tentatively thinking of taking out my 2 md smashers for 2 md Spellskites, or maybe doing a 1-1 split. Thoughts?

My Decks:
UG Merfolk RG 8-Whack BWG Abzan midrange GRB Living End UWB Spirit Control
GU Kruphix's "Hug Assassin" RW Kalemne's "Play Fatties and Hope for the Best!" BUGW Atraxa's "All counters, all the time"
I like Sorin a lot in some decks but don't know about this one. Maybe so.
Regarding Skullcrack et al., don't forget that Vault is a land that taps for mana and plays for free, and gives not only lifelink but death touch as well. It is not comparable to the walker; they play different roles.

Smasher to me if one of the most powerful cards in the deck, I have swung the tides multiple times with 1 swing alone. You must remember that many deck's resources are already strained via our discard and other big eldrazi, so even if he is removed it is most usually a great advantage for us anyway. As I mentioned earlier I removed my maps, they were replaced with skites which have been amazing in the aggro match-ups but also in protecting my TKS and further straining my opponents removal.

I 100% agree with this, my intention was not to say to run one over the other, but instead to hedge any comparisons made against Sorin since we already run vault, and to highlight what Sorin can bring to the table. My plan would be to run both of them.
I'll test having two fetch lands only. Should I need more color fixing, I'll probably cut 1 vent and 1 basic for a full set of Marsh Flats. I want to test Reality Smasher so I'm throwing 2 in there, removing a Sower and a Strangler. I mainboard one Flaying Tendrils to shore the aggro matchups. Appreciate all your inputs.
The reason I brought up sorin, is he is a great parity breaker for grindy match ups. I know we are favored to win vs BGx, but there are times when your souls stare down their souls. And doing 8 dmg a turn from souls is much different than 4 damage a turn from souls. I was thinking of him as more of a SB card.

Thoughts?
