Still struggling against Eldrazi Tron decks. Faced a budget and non budget version of it this past friday and both clocked me (even with Blood Moons and Molten Rains). My other loss was Scapeshift and fourth round I got the bye so went home. I am not doing well with the deck.
Has anyone tried smallpox as a sideboard option? I have a few bogles players in my LGS as well as scapeshift and I was wondering if the card is any good in those matchups. It's kind of a land destruction + edict effect which dodges leyline and also doesn't affect YP on the battlefield.

They tend to go 1 creature extra (either playing out a 2nd bogle, getting a 1/1 from Cartouche or fetching dryad arbor) to play around edict effects. If you really want to get em good, play Crackling Doom
I generally like having spells that also splash damage at the opponent's face. It's one of the reasons I like Molten Rain so much too. Those tiny chips really add up at the end of the day.
Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a flex spot in my deck that I either want to place Nahiri or Hazoret in as a one of. I have a Invocation Hazoret which is calling to me, but I'm interested in hearing what people think about Haz vs Nahiri.
I have never like Nahiri in the list. It adds more dependence on white mana and IMO doesn't do enough. Hazoret on the other hand has been straight gasoline for me and won me many many games.
Just don't be afraid to discard it if needed. Some games (especially early) you are powering out Reveler first or whatever and it is correct to discard her. Then late game you can rebuy her with Kommand when you need to close the door.
Today I went 4-0 with an odd take on mardu pyromancer and I want to know what you guys think. So it was relatively stock except I played 4 dark confidant instead of bedlam revelers. (Still gives the deck draw power but always comes down turn 2 unlike reveler) I also played a 1 of monastery mentor which was awesome and a 1 of claim/fame to get back dead Bob's and pyros. I also played 2 pack rat as additional threats. They ranged from game winning to not too good. What do you think about this direction.
What I like about reveler is the immediate value when you play it, also it dodges bolt, push and decay, doesn't overlap with pyromancer in early game, great with k-command and is a much bigger threat.
Pack Rat seems like a very mana intensive option for a deck that really wants to be more reactive. To me, Mardu is all about wearing down your opponents' resources over the early game before turning the corner and burying them in card advantage. If all you want to do is smash face, it does raise the question 'why not just play burn, hollow one, infect or bogles?' they are all much faster clocks than the pack rat plan.
I do like the singleton Monastery Mentor, and it is something that I have been considering myself. Would be very interested to hear if people have had success with the card.
I played against zoo, burn, infect, and a bad bg rock deck. So I got lucky and faced all creature matchups burn being the toughest though but brutality is nice and I had sideboard lightning helix. I do like that reveler dodges a lot of removal though. I'm gonna keep on working on the numbers and trying different threats but I did just get the full set of revelers so they are up next.
Pack rat was a little too mana intensive and didn't really ever have time or want to cast it on turn 2. But it was really good in the late game. And yeah mentor was sweet. I usually played it out on turn 4 with a spell and even if it gets killed the prowess token can do some serious damage in a deck that is 30 spells
I guess it's because with DFD you see 100% what you get.
Abbot looks really nice in theory but he is not that good in the early turns, he doesn't make reveler cheaper and he doesn't trigger pyromancer...

I don't think the deck gets to deliurm often or fast enough for that to be effective.
You can put it in if you play the green variant of this deck with traverse and mishras bauble I guess
