Hardcasting borby has come up? 0_o i have never got that many lands out with loam...
Also I have no basis for comparison for horizon canopy number, my gut says three but it is just a gut feeling.
Anyways, what is your username on modo? I wanna look out for your results if you money
EDIT: Also a super experiemental idea for a white build would be a glittering wish package. almost certainly too cute but that card is definitely powerful.
It has actually. The third game against Souls Sisters I sat with a Bobby in hand and couldn't dredge into Rites for the life of me, so I ended up hard casting it. Pretty sick.
My username is Woodiness. Didn't know you could look up player results.
Glittering Wish doesn't synergies much with the deck though (all though I guess you can search up Borby). I guess you could make a sweet wish package, but I feel that that might delude our main game plan. If only it could search up Loam then I would be game.
Didn't they hide some of the results lately not to reveal too much of the meta? Because they thought that people speculating too much was bad for the game. I think I read that somewhere.

I have not heard or seen anything to corroborate this

This is true. WoTC only shows the results of the largest of all the daily events for each format for that day. Usually 2-3 events fire per day, per format. But you will never see the results of more than 1, per format.

is it actually to reduce speculation or is it just to save space?
Wow, so many responses and new ideas! Really exciting!

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have. - René Descartes

Oh hi. I came in here to see where this archetype is going after losing to it in a DE the other day, and I see the guy I lost to. Congratulations again; the deck looks sweet.
That match was weird, by the way. Game one you wrecked my hand with Raven's Crime then wiped everything with Firespout and I never got anything going. Game two I mulled to five, but your hand didn't develop and Ajani's Pridemate beat you down. Game three was a slog - my Rest in Peace got hit by Abrupt Decay, but not before it ate your Raven's Crime, which kept me in the game. It took you forever to find anything that filled your yard, and it looked to me like your Bobys were stuck in your hand. But at the same time, I drew all three of my four drops (Ranger of Eos) and couldn't find my fourth land even after 11 draw steps. Both of our decks were treating us terribly, but you did draw enough lands to hardcast Boby before my little Soul Wardens could get in enough damage.
I'm curious about what this decks matchups are actually like. The deck seems "sweet," but how consistent is it really? Which matchups are good/bad/decent?

It's not your job to win games of Magic where you're mana screwed.
It's your job win every game of Magic where you're not.
Yeah that match was sick. It could've gone either way. I think you revealed your hand with Martyr at some point in that last game and I knew I was in trouble. Lucky for me you didn't draw that fourth land.
Sadly I don't know enough about the deck at this point. I've only played that one Daily with it and you can't tell anything from the Tournament Practice Room (I've actually stopped using the room that much, because you get a false sense of security playing your deck there plus you often tweak it wrong, because the meta is skewed) . But the deck feels powerful. When you pilot it, you feel that you're up to something broken. It needs a lot of loving to be consistent and to deal with the various archetypes that are out there.
I'm trying to run my new brew through a DE later today, I'll report back how it went.

So far I like it. It's not as explosive but it has more ways to interact with the opponent. It feels like playing regular Junk with a combo finish. And since I love Junk I really like the looks of it so far.

I think it is to reduce speculation. At one point the websites could break down the online meta flawless. MTGOAcademy and Starcity did that in a period of time and then wrote that they had stopped doing that because of WotC's new policy (which involved not revealing all of the data).
It was at the same time that WotC made the option of watching replays of your opponent during a tournament unavailable.
I tested a deck pretty much like yours yesterday with mixed results. Once again, I got crushed by Living End. I had a few favorable matches against Scapeshift though.

Hmm it's not looking so good for the home team. 0-2 and then I dropped (0-2 vs. the famous MattiasNL playing UWR Gifts and 1-2 vs. Soul Sisters). To my defense, I had terrible draws. Bad draws seem to happen a lot with this deck and losing Looting + Mulch doesn't help. On the other hand Darkblast turned out to be pretty sweet and I'm thinking on upping the count to 2 or even 3.
Just checked last Monday Daily events on the mothership website and found that gaudenis (don't know if he is the gaudenis we all know) played again with Loam (with the very same list as before).

Between liliana small pox and looting blood ghast provides a prime target for disard that is practically gaurunteed to be recurred. If it even gets in for 2-4 that's another shock or 2 you don't have to think about and it's a card you don't have to think twice about discarding.
I found it extremely difficult to close out the game in the Borborygmos Enraged version because you spend a lot of time just waiting to get both in the yard, and if Borb gets path's you're sitting around without a win condition. (No Bloodghasts either.)
You're also devoting 8 slots to what 3-4 were just Seismic Assault.
It's a fun deck I'm just finding it to be more inconsistent in the unburial rites version.
It was a fun ride, but I guess it had to end at some point.
One thing though: I never left myself vulnerable to Path, I always made sure that I could kill the opponent in one blow once the fatty was reanimated or that the opponent had 0 cards in hand and had to top deck a Path. I also like the fact that you don't need to chose between dredging and drawing. Dredging is almost always correct as it leaves you one step closer to your win condition.
But yeah, sadly the deck is pretty inconsistent. So I guess I will be returning to regular Assault Loam *sigh*.

i know it synergizes with the deck
what im saying is that it is contrary to what the deck needs to be doing. On turn 3 you want to be very close to setting up the lock, not swinging with some 2/1 .
The deck might be a bit slow closing out games but once you have 6 cards in hand and they have zero closing out the game is elementary.
EDIT: i am sad to see the borbygmos deck fail, i will be trying to breathe life into it once i get the assault version to my liking. I just learned that vs a competent opponent UWR midrange is a tough match(if they time their geists appropriately you often just die). You can certainly win but it is a tad tough
