GreatNate, thanks for the videos! Keep it up--it's great to see how competitive this deck can be. Isochron Scepter actually looked pretty nasty in round 3. I actually haven't seen it have much impact most of the time, so I was a little surprised by the card.
Thanks guys! The deck is definitely underrated. I think many of the people that assume the deck "isn't very good" are just buying into the collective assumptions of the deck.
As far as how it's positioned it has very reasonable game against many of the top decks. It's often compared to Abzan/Jund since those are the other Midrange decks, and while that particular match-up is tough, Jeskai has better game against other top performing decks like Affinity, Burn & Infect.
The top 5 decks on MTG Goldfish right now are below. I consider Jeskai Geist to have favorable match-ups vs all of them except Junk, which if piloted correctly is quite winnable.
1. UR Twin
2. Affinity
3. Junk
4. Burn
5. Grixis Delver
Petros, Burrenton Forge-Tender looks like a reasonable option against burn without the Firewalkers or Timely Reinforcements, although both other options seem better. I run 2 Kor Firewalkers out of the board, and that's been working out well. I guess the Forge-Tender can be a road block for Goblin Guides/Swiftspears until you get removal, after which it gains you about 3 life. The only problem is that they can just attack with more than 1 creature, in which case something still gets around the Forge-Tender indefinitely. That's where Kor Firewalker is a lot better. Kor Firewalker kills Goblin Guides/Swiftspears in combat, so the opponent has to throw away a creature every time they want to get past the Firewalker. It also generally gains more than 3 life in the course of a game, which is better than the Forge-Tender in most games.

I like Firewalker much more, especially since we gain life off of our own spells.
What do you think about Burrenton Forge-Tender vs Burn? I didn't have Kor Firewalkers or Timely Reinforcements, so I had to put something into my sideboard versus Burn. I put two copies of Burrenton and they worked great! I won game vs Burn by playing it in turn 1. It competely stops Goblin Guides, Swiftspears, etc. and stops 3-4 dmg. We can play it on turn 1, it has much easier cost than Firewalker. Thoughts?

Petrios, I agree with GreatNate completely. Definitely watch his last video set, where he pulls out a few games pretty amazingly with Kor Firewalker out of the board.
Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
@Khainn: Ral Zarek seems sweet. I can't imagine it being better than Ajani Vengaent, but it's an interesting one since you can actually tap a blocker to swing through as well as potentially keep more open mana for interaction or essentially give one of your bigger creatures vigilance. The fact that he can tick down twice before ticking up is kinda cool, but no lifegain sucks.
Forked Bolt evidently was performing well with GreatNate's deck. He was only running 1x. I haven't tried it myself. I think I'd want to pump up my Electrolyze numbers to 2-3 before adding a Forked though.
Ral was pretty baller, I dont have Ajani Vengeant so i threw Ral Zarek in there and whenever i drew him he did work. Hes really good at clearing the way for geist beats, or playing a threat and holding out counter magic mana. I liked.

Ya Ral Zarek was pimpin. I dont have an Ajani so I dont know how much better or worse he is. Forked bolt is for the large number of Infect players in my meta. Only 1 Colonade because i only have one Colonade. The scry lands were pretty good though.
Ral Zarek seems a lot worse than Ajani Vengeant, you don't seem to be running enough threats, and Forked Bolt doesn't seem great.
Ral did just fine but he might be wirse than ajani you are correct. There is a lot of infect in my meta so forked bolt is pretty necessary.
I wouldn't be that concerned about needing to kill 2 creatures at the same time against Infect. Also, why are you only running 7 threats? (Snapcaster Mage doesn't really count). You need more, especially without Colonnades.

The reason for 1 x Forked Bolt over the third Electrolyze was to have another T1 removal spell vs Goblin Guide, Swiftspear, Affinty, and Infect creatures. Electrolyze can be a bit slow in those matchups. The main benefit is that it's good in those situations, but is also good against things like Spirit tokens and is easily flashbacked with Snap. I also like it against the Young Pyromancer version of Grixis delver as it very cost effective at clearing up the mess he makes.
I actually played spellheart chimera in a UR delver list and it was crazy strong.
I honestly would suggest going back to WUR Delver until you get the Colonnades. With just 1 Colonnade and only 4 cards that cost more than 3 mana, it seems a lot worse than a WUR Delver deck would be.

4 Remand
3 Mana Leak
2 Spell Snare
1 Ral Zarek
4 Scalding Tarn
1 Arid Mesa
2 Steam Vents
2 Hallowed Fountain
1 Sacred Foundry
1 Faerie Conclave
1 Celestial Colonade
1 Temple of Enlightenment
1 Temple of Epiphany
3 Island
2 Plains
1 Mountain
2 Flashfreeze
2 Anger of the Gods
2 Grim Lavamancer
3 Kor Firewalker
2 Negate
1 Dispel
1 Spellskite
2 Rending Volley
Ral Zarek seems a lot worse than Ajani Vengeant, you don't seem to be running enough threats, and Forked Bolt doesn't seem great.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Forked Bolt evidently was performing well with GreatNate's deck. He was only running 1x. I haven't tried it myself. I think I'd want to pump up my Electrolyze numbers to 2-3 before adding a Forked though.
Why not have 3-4 Celestial Colonade?
Modern: R Skred -- WBG Melira Co -- URW Nahiri Control
Legacy: R Mono Red Burn -- UWB Stoneblade
Commander: R Krenko, Mob Boss -- WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon -- WUBRG Maze’s End
Other: R No Rares Red (Standard) -- URC Izzet Tron (Pauper)

I'd try out Lightning Angel and Mantis Rider (depending on how many Lightning Bolt decks are in your meta). They are both a lot better than they look.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Valnarch is correct.
I posted a few videos a couple of months ago with a budget Jeskai build.

That is definitely a possible option, especially if you are running 3-4 Restoration Angels.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
