Anyone care to help me out? I realized I owned a good portion of the deck and decided to purchase some of the things needed to get close to finishing. I took Nevel0's list from a few pages back, but I need to modify it a bit. I can't afford Scalding Tarns, Arid Mesas, Cryptics, or Cliques atm.
I've replaced Ajani Vengeant with Knight Errant until I get my hands on an Ajani. I replaced the 1x Clique with a third Restoration Angel. Could someone help me figure out what to play temporarily in place of Cryptic? I'm hoping to get them in time. Plus, if someone could help me modify the mana base to exclude Zendikar Fetches, that would be great. I can get Khans fetches fairly easily; currently have 4x Polluted Delta, 2x Flooded Strand, 1x Bloodstained Mire, and 1x Wooded Foothills. I'm thinking that I will probably run 4x Flooded Strand, 2x Delta, 2x red fetches? Maybe have to add a shock or two to make up for things?
I could really use some help. Any is appreciated!
Like said the Primer you cant play this on a budget, you can repalce Zen fetchs by 4x Polluted and 4x Flooded Strand from Khans, but this its the best you can do, cryptic, vendilion, snap etc dont have good replacement and the deck work worst whitout them ...
By luck, Midrange version dont need vendilion or cryptic to run, you can run fine whitout it for some time, also Control version needs for sure and cant no be replacement

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out to you yet, but you can't bottom a land with Vendilion Clique since the card text reads non-land.
Thanks, someone else mentioned it to me on another forum, now I know. In the moment neither I or my opponent caught it, I'm actually pretty upset with myself over that. As things happened though it wouldn't have made a difference in the match (his next draw was a land) but still, it's good to be playing the cards correctly.
I'm Currently thinking of couting out Restoration Angel for another Eslspeth and one Gideon.
Any thoughts?
I've been looking at removing Resto's too but I'm wanting to go more aggressive rather than more controlling. Someone here suggested Hero of Bladehold to me, and I like that idea. I'll be trying it at a small tournament this week.
Gideon is a little more than I'm willing to tap out for and for 4 mana I want to add more than 3 evasive power to my board which is something both Elspeth and Resto do, except Elspeth lacks the flash and requires another guy or two turns.

To put this another way, I would say mine is pretty midrange and I don't run Cryptic. It's not for budget reasons either (though, I do enjoy not needing to buy them) but because the deck legitimately runs better in my meta without them. That's not going to be the case in all metas though, if you need to go more controlling Cryptic is without a doubt required. Unlike blue fetches, Clique, and Tiago though I don't think they're an auto incude.
I'm interesting this building this deck. The only cards I don't have are Clique, Scalding Tarns, and Colonade's. Do you mind if you share your list? I'm interested in building a more midrange version. Thanks
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.

Colonnade's are required. You're not threat dense enough without them. It's your most important land, more so than the fetches.
My list is only good in certain metas, I can get away with it because I don't face the decks I'm weak too, and I have game against the ones I do face (including traditionally bad matchups like Bogles, which I never lose to). Then again I think that's true of any tuned list.
My Mindcensor should probably just be a third Clique. The Hero over Restoration Angel I'm trying on the suggestion of a poster here because I wanted a 4 drop that puts more than 3 power on the board for pressure.
I put this deck together today. I was inspired by the 4 color control list that came in 4th at Baltimore, but wanted to play a slightly more proactive version. I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Control page or over here, but I figured it's aligned more closely to midrange, what with Geist here and the absence of Cryptic Command.
It's kind of a weird list, I know. Yes, I'm playing a maindecked Counterflux, want to fight about it? I might even replace the 4th Mana Leak with another one, just to bother you
I like Azorius Charm. Lifelink can get you out of a bind, and it wrecks affinity if they use Ravager to put counters on a dude and attack. It can also protect Geist when he's swinging into a hostile board state. When all else fails, it can cantrip. I'm surprised I haven't seen any lists with it here.
I need to find slots to put Spellskite. Aside from that, perhaps some of you kind souls would provide me with some good ideas. I'm all ears!
@Priest of Titania: I don't know if I like the charm but if we went that way, what do you think of Jeskai Charm in that slot? Similar modes except that the 4 damage mode is useful vs Twin. Against combo or controlling matchups the lifelink also pumps which is pretty sweet with Lingering Souls.
Also Spellskite is great. I have one in my board. Helps a lot vs Burn, Twin, and Infect. Space is tight, but I could definitely see going to 2x. Could drop Rule of Law, as that seems a bit narrow. What do you side that in against?

Jeskai Charm mite b cool, but the extra mana seems cumbersome. Sometimes you just have nothing better to do on your second turn than to fire off a Think Once.
Rule of Law is there for Storm and Ascendancy combo, but I suppose it is rather narrow. I also kind of have those bases covered with Laughter Games. That card justifies the black splash by itself Nothing funnier than ripping all of the Twins out of a deck. Yup, definitely fitting a Spellskite or two in the board.
So how do we feel about Myth Realized? Seems like a nice fit into the deck, effective as a cheap beater that scales through the game at best, perhaps Liliana protection for Geist at worst.

I don't like it. Seems slow. It doesn't have any evasion. Liable to just eat removal for no value once it's activated. Dies to Abrupt Decay even as an enchantment. Maybe in some URw delver deck that can get it going quick. I don't really want to spend my first turn casting this, as it entails eating a bolt to the face and not being able to hold up Snare, Pierce, or Bolt.
So I've done some more testing since last time I posted. I found Valorous Stance to be too awkward to run in my meta, it would be a dead card a lot of the time. I really like Spell Snare as it hits so many relevant cards and is great on the draw to counter someone's 2 drop and not be behind. I also found that I really needed Ghost Quarter over Tectonic Edge to beat tron and it was more helpful when playing against infect.
Hi. If you are having problems with Tron, consider to add to your sideboard Stony Silence. It stalls them a lot (eggs won't work, map won't work) and you focus only on preventing scryings from resolving. Stony Silence also helps vs affinity and U Tron.
Best regards
I don't think I saw it brought up before but what do people think of Thunderbreak Regent? Running it instead of Thundermaw Hellkite as a one or two of might be good for a more aggressive build. If you can make it hit the board it gives your opponent a clock if you're free in the air and if you can counter the first spell they use to remove it it will deal 6 free damage. Granted it will not deal the damage when your opponent plays a wrath but if you can make a case for Stormbreath Dragon, Thunderbreak Regent could have a case made for it. If you use Dragonlord Ojutai as well you can give it some protection when Ojutai has attacked and isn't hexproof anymore.
I'm starting to build this deck and just coming across ideas that I think might be good but well I'm a newer player to modern so it would be nice to get some help with deck building. The deck I'm going to start testing is as follows:
If you have any ideas of things I could do to make the deck better, I do really want to keep Narset and the dragons, please help a new deck builder out.

It was a consideration, but I want the mana to be as consistent as possible. I already exchanged the Moorland Haunt for another Sulfur Falls.
