Jeskai Control doing well this weekend at SCGBaltimore! I think 3 or 4 in the top 30, with two in top 15 so far.
Not surprised that 2 of the best players in the world did well with jeskai. I'm a surprised at the lists though. Neither playing the jace/miracle version. Both had 3 teferi's. I'm not sure how either of them beat spirits. Anyone have good insight on why Seth and Brad chose these lists?
If you were to construct your UWx with spirits being one of the most important matchups to win, which version would you play? Jeskai miracles? So you have both terminus and bolt?
Brad and Seth's miracleless lists really sparked my interest. I've been pretty down on control for a while but those lists look very interesting. My own main pickup from those lists is the close to absense of cantrips; Ive felt that, unless you get some secondary benefit like storm count or miracle triggers off of them, modern cantrips are just very weak and often not worth the mana in such a brutal format.

The third Teferi feels like the largest innovation of the deck to me. It feels like the third Teferi frees up more options for the deck to use his -3 more liberally.
Also, generally speaking, how far from net decking do you guys take your lists? Do you change just 1 or 2 cards from a list you like or do you start from the ground up?
It usually depends on how much the metagame has changed, and how I'm feeling about particular cards that are currently in the list and those that have potential.
I'm getting back to Jeskai Control after being unsatisfied with UW Control : it seems I can't win with it. I've been trying for more than 1 year and I'm incapable of being better than something like 3-1 once in a month. I'm usually 1-3, 2-2. Once 4-0. So, I've figured I'd give the Jeskai way a shot and here's what I'll be rolling with for the next months :
I'm not a fan of Teferi, but If needed, I could take out Secure the Wastes for a 2/1 split between Jace / Teferi. Otherwise, the rest of the list is pretty standard. I'm devoting a lot of sideboard space to fight combo : I have a lot of Titanshift, Storm, Ad Nauseam and such in the meta. Some Affinity, Jund, Tron, etc. The usual suspects.
I'll be around more often, so looking forward to discuss with you guys. Any tips or ideas are gladly welcomed
Want to give a try with this lovely artifact, but have no idea of possible lists.
Haven't tested this myself, but Isochron Scepter looks great for the control mirror with Noxious Revival ... NR by itself seems tasty with Terminus, cantrips, Remand, and fetches, but paying 2 mana each turn instead of 2 life once for what amounts to a graveyard toolbox engine seems good for grindy games.
Edit: Also hello; looking to give a Jeskai Harbinger a shot; seems to be more my style.
Spell Snare is obviously nice vs snap.dec, but also reasonable as a 1-of, maybe 2, in general, depending on specific lists you’re facing.
Also worth thinking carefully about your wincons - how costly they are, and how resilient, etc.
edit: Oh, just checked the list you’re playing. Well, I suppose Snare seems a fair bet, from the above. The rest is basically already there...

Both lists played Hieroglyphic Illumination though and Seth also played Serum Visions on top of that
1 Geist in the side, is still a favorite of mine for when you have to be the Aggro.

I'd be inclined to start with something like this if I wanted to play isochron.
