So I'm gonna take this list to a tournament tonight. Can Anyone suggest how to fit in Magma Jet's into this list? I have all the cards for the "Eternal Skred" as well but feel that I need to play with reckoners first to get a feel for my play style. Oh and I know how bad Hangarback is vs Path. There aren't a lot of decks running it at my LGS and I just love Hangarback as a card.
I like the list. Like everyone else said you're gonna want Magma Jet in your list. Since your curve isn't too high you could cut mind stone or reduce the count. Unless the meta calls for it you like don't need 2 or Graf and ricochet trap in the side. I am a big fan or hangar back. Even if path is around he is a removal rod before Reckoner or stormbreath come out.
Hey, that list is close to mine. I dont use mind stones since my curve stops at 5 with 2 Stormbreath and 1 Batterskull, I have 23 lands too and 3 Magma Jet helps to find lands; plus I will be using 4 Koth 2 Chandra, Torch of defiance, so I will have 6 ramping walkers. My new (in october) list.
Thanks for the reply, I didn't even think about Mind Stone as something to take out. I'll test it tonight with 2 Magma Jet's instead of 2 stones. I only have 2 FNM Promo jets though and I'm a freak about card art so I guess the other stone can turn into another P&K for now. As for the sideboard were you saying Grafdigger's cage and Ricochet Trap aren't needed? Grafdigger's Cage was originally pithing needle but a lot of people are on Kiki Chord around me right now. As for Ricochet Trap it's for Jeskai Nahiri but could become something else if need be, just not sure what's better. Why are most putting Molten Rain's in their sideboard? If it's for Tron why not just the additional copies of Crumble/ Sowing Salt?
Crumble to dust is a bit too slow. Molten rain helps to get rid of basic land if they try to play around blood moon. It can also slow them down. I find some flaws with eternal scourge. Trying out hangarback Walker, goblin dark-dweller and shrapnel blast.
You are better off going RW Nahiri. Good chance in this deck you cut yourself off white completely. Also with Path you are giving them basics which defeats the purpose of Blood Moon.
Me. I don't recommend having Nahiri as your primary wincon because when she gets taken out (she will) you're looking down at an opponent with like 16 life and nothing to show for it. She takes too much aggression out of the deck. Don't expect to be able to ever hardcast Emrakul with Koth, because you won't have enough mountains to make the 15. I ended up having x4 Arid Mesa, 1 Snow Plains, 1 Sacred Foundry and 2 Clifftop Retreats. Getting cut off red is a real possibility when we have so many RR cards in our deck. The list I played did show promise, and if I did tweak it a little bit more I could see it working out, but there are better shells for Nahiri in RW. P&K is crucial to the list if you want to make it work
Hey all, first time poster here. My Skred hype has been building the past while and finally decided to get the deck. I'm running the adonis2k list minus a couple small pieces - running an extra Magma Jet because I can't find Roast (of all things...) and a Snow Mountain in place of the 3rd Scrying Sheets. Played it tonight at FNM and went 3-1!
Still getting used to the deck and what to look for in the opening hand, but overall I'm having a blast so far.
Even my first night playing the deck, I pulled off some ridiculous stuff. Equipping Eternal Scourge with a Batterskull, using Koth minus to double Anger, casting Eternal Scourge 3 times from exile to chump block until Koth had time to ult, and throwing a Mind Stone at the opponent's face all felt great!
My matches went as follows:
Grixis Delver 0-2
Affinity 2-1
Soul Sisters 2-0
White weenie 2-0
I do think that the 0-2 against Grixis was somewhat my fault... I think I had either some bad shuffling or bad luck as I didn't see a Relic or Skred in either game 1 or 2 at all, but did find all 3 Blood Moons in game 1. Opponent also had some brutal responses in game 2 with Countersquall, Snap Countersquall when I tried to play P&K and then Koth.
The rest of the matches I feel there isn't too much to say. Overall I felt a strong advantage against Affinity and the white weenie decks. I got to ult Koth against both the white decks and it really is game over.
The deck is great. I was telling my friends that it has the perfect balance of power and troll factor for me. Main deck Blood Moons, attacking people with mountains, chucking Mind Stones at face, and ruining people's day with Stormbreath Dragon is just too much!
Rimescale Dragon is one of those cards that I wish would fit, but it just doesn't feel like it does enough at its cost to be viable. Which is sad, because it's thematically perfect and still pretty good.
Obsidian Fireheart is something I consider perfectly playable, but it's just not for me.
Rimescale Dragon lol
i want to cast this card. it powers skred and draws off scrying sheets
Funny you bring that up, that's a card that's on my Skred "hidden gems" list of cards that I think have a potential spot in some lists.
It just seems way too slow for us. Stormbreath Dragon has a much better payoff for having lots of mana IMO. The card I've always wanted to include is Obsidian Fireheart.
I've almost sleeved up Obsidian Fireheart once. Also, Rimescale is just so awesome though! Perhaps if the local meta were to get really grindy and controlly I would try him out.
I goofed around with Red devotion in Modern on MODO with 3 or 4 Obsidians and a couple of Frostburn Weird and it was surprisingly decent.
Braid of Fire and Obsidian Fireheart is kinda clever. Sadly, it's one of those combos where one of the cards basically does nothing on its own. I guess we have some other outlets, like P&KN and Stormbreath, or instants. Still, not ideal, as it could be a dead card.

21 Snow-covered Mountain
2 Scrying Sheets
Creatures
4 Boros Reckoner
3 Pia and Kiran Nalaar
2 Stormbreath Dragon
Planeswalkers
4 Koth of the Hammer
2 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
4 Relic of Progenitus
1 Batterskull
Spells
4 Skred
4 Lightning Bolt
3 Magma Jet
2 Anger of the Gods
1 Volcanic Fallout
3 Blood Moon
3 Dragon's Claw
2 Shattering Spree
1 Crumble to Dust
3 Molten Rain
1 Kozilek's Return
1 Pyrite Spellbomb
2 Roast
2 Boil
Thoughts? I think the new Chandra will do great for our deck.
This is my preliminary list: http://puu.sh/rdJoq/a0659d8581.jpg
Someone here tried it. Personally, Im totally on only red side, and we will get a new toy with Chandra.
Also, PtE + Blood Moon is... nope.

Glad people have come around on Magma Jet.
Modern: Merfolk UU // Green Devotion GG // SkRed Red RR
Legacy: Death & Taxes WW // Burn RR // Death's Shadow Delver UB
Commander: Brago UW // Karlov WB
Yeah, just need to find mana sinks for the extra mana, considering stuff like Comet Storm, Pyrohemia, ect.
Only 1 at a time at the cost of a land. I'd rather use an instant or something to just dump the mana into every upkeep.
