I'm essentially playing Negate as a placeholder until I get the fourth Snapcaster.
As for how I'm linking this together, I intended this list to be somewhere between the Jace version and the Chapin version, but lately I've been cutting down more on discard, so they might go completely in favor of +1 thought scour and +2 angler.
If that was a typo and you meant how am I liking the deck without Jace, well, I miss the angler beats, which I could fix as described above, but in general the deck is nice. I havent had the problem where I've wanted to either cast Painful Truths / a discard spell or keep up a counter yet, so we'll see
Here's my current list. I'm not at all sure on how the snapcaster/jace VP split should look in the finalized version.
Also, might be because of inexperienced players in my meta, but an early Ashiok never seems to fail to distract vs CoCo/Kiki-Chord, and usually buys me enough time to look for sweepers or work my way into heavy pressure from Kalitas/Tasigur.
Never seen bogles in my meta, so as of right now, I'm not running any edict effects.
I think TitI can be a very nice inclusion, but I want to playtest it extensively first.
TiTi and Dark Confidant are in different leagues completely. Untapping with Confidant puts you up one card immediately, but you can ignore TiTi until it actually threatens a flip. Confidant is also a lot better topdeck.
Choke hinders your mana but Creeping Tar Pit still lets you play blue spells. Ob Nixilis provides me constant card advantage and I can keep up with the K Command/ Snap loops. However, its susceptible to Bolt. However, I can also bring it in against grindy decks like the mirror and Jund while Choke is kind of limited on what matchups you can bring it in.
Choke is the worst. If it lands it's game 90% of the time. The only way to deal with it is bouncing with Cryptic, and with Choke on the table is very hard to have 3 blue sources, let alone another one to counter when you play it again.
We can also kill it with EE. But I don't know if I would bring it against Abzan.
Going to FNM tomorrow with the list below. My meta is pretty tough. There is Eldrazi, Affinity, Infect, Burn, CoCo, UR/UWR Control (leftover from Twin), Grisholbrand/Goryo's, Jund/Junk, Storm etc. People are good.
Trying a Kalitas instead of a third Angler because new. I really wish our deck had some solid lifegain/Innocent Blood (plz). Meta is tough, last time I played against 2 UWR control decks, 1 Storm and 1 homebrew. UWR/UW is favored against us. They are better at the control game. The UW control players are also better than me. Have yet to play against Eldrazi or Affinity but I've seen them there. Burn usually goes fine. Jund/Junk are 50/50 but they tend to strip our hand hard, considering bringing back Keranos for those two matchups.
1 of the thought scours is a "flex" spot but I couldn't decide what to replace it with.
A friend of mine has been playing a 1 of Tombstalker instead of the angler, the flying has been really good for him. It's obviously Double black and costs 1 more, but something worth noting for the group here.

Never heard of this card until now. Wow, seems way better than angler.
With a Turn1 Thought Scour, Tasigur and Angler can be played on your second turn.
Tombstalker cannot.
Plus the double black is very bad in your early turns and if you want to play it in the late game then I think P&K or Kalitas are better then.
Same. I dropped the full delve fatties package because makes our threats terrible when our opponents side in GY hate, and a lot of the times you drop a T2 Angler just for it to get Pathed or Terminated.
Dropping a Tasigur or Angler on t2 seems pretty sweet. But we don't pack a good curve of threats to take advantage of the tempo in putting them on the defensive, assuming they remove it. Then you have no graveyard for jace/snap, which is what I personally would want the scours to do for the deck.
If they don't remove it then great.
I might like the delve fatties as a sideboard plan but I'd expect grave hate after showing all the flashback in game 1
hi guys, thinking about the next eldrazi ban and the new metagame, the deck that scares me so much is burn, how we can beat it? i was thinking about one white/another color shockland; and post-side we can put in 3x timely reinforcements and 2x rest for the weary... or maybe we can try death's shadow?
I was wondering what you guys use for card draw? 4 visions for sure but there's Think Twice and Compulsive Research. I like Research a lot but its slow.
I was thinking about trying 4 thought scour and 4 rune snag and that would solve the draw spell issue.
What's your opinion on spell snare? It seems good against jund and burn but what else? Is it main deck worthy?
You asked about card draw spells, so I wanted to chime in.
I have been testing a build with Thing in the Ice, and Think Twice seems to be a perfect fit to go with him. The Think Twices are a little slow/durdly, but the Things help a lot with keeping pressure off of you to mitigate that. Then the Think Twices help a lot when it comes to topdecking a Thing in the lategame. They count as 2 spells for the Thing, AND they help keep your hand full. Its felt really solid so far.

the answer to burn is DEFINITELY NOT slapshing a 4th color. Spellskite, vampiric link, negate, dispel and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet are your friends in the burn matchup.
Decks I'm playing in Modern right now:
URB Grixis Reveler (http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/modern-grixis-reveler/)
UB Faeries (http://www.mtgvault.com/supast4r7/decks/ub-fae-2/)
