I feel the Drake is a legit threat. Another guy I played against was trying to fuel it with Thought Scour, but I dont think thats even necessary when you've got 20+ spells fueling it, the bonus card draw is just a bonus.

Feels like it would be good in the mirror (since UR can't effectively kill x/4s, and even less so flying x/4s), but seems very medium in any other matchup. Especially against any reasonable amount of interaction and removal. Have you tried it yourself yet, or just played against it?
I've played one in the main instead of a Clique, I would imagine the idea is to play it with 4 x Pyro or Thing, to draw out removal, then land one late and if its not answered, thats the game on next swing.
I'm back on Thing/Moon personally, I can only enjoy creature based decks for so long.

Played out like I thought too, just eat up the removal with Thing/Jace, and if they are out of resources, this actually brings you back. I had no business winning that game.
What do you remove to make space for the drakes?
I'm experiencing that the two Jaces are not as good as I want them to be, often times I play one and it does almost nothing for too many turns...
I'm thinking to replace them with the two drakes
Hoo-Boy, I'm all aboard the Drake train! I have tried two slight variations; one that 5-0'd on the Tuesday lists, which I feel is tempo-ish, running the thought scours, and I also tried the TiTi list switching out the 4 TiTi for 3 Drakes and a harvest pyre and cutting the Jaces for 2 peezy. So far both lists are a ton of fun and has me really excited about the "genre" again. It's hard for me to explain how only 1 creature changes the feel of the list but I really have been impressed. The caveat is that I've only played a handful of matches thus far, so it's entirely possible that I haven't seen any weaknesses pop up yet.
I dropped the thought scours for Opts, for now. Scours were in the list I copied and they had a couple of nice synergies, but I feel that the deck benefits more from additional card selection.
My two following conp. Leagues went 1-3 and 4-1. New dredge lists are quite powerful, might add a second Surgical to the board in place of the 2nd Rejection.
played a couple more leagues. Went 3-2, losing to two dredge decks, and then won my second trophy! I added more efficient grave hate to board and experiment with Illuminations.
Good Job! I also wondered if opts are better than Thought Scour, but i think the synergy with Thought Scour is to good to drop. Hieroglyphic Illumination is a nice option. I also thought about the new Jumpstart Draw 2, since you can mill it with Thought Scour, but its probably to weak.
Could you maybe stream some leagues with the deck and upload it on youtube? Would like to see you playing this deck.
I'm mostly concerned about not having enough fuel for Harvest Pyre, but haven't felt like I'd need more closing speed with the Drakes. We end up having plenty of instants and sorceries the yard anyway. Small sample size though.
video from yesterday's stream is up. I think the matches were pretty good overall; I made some mistakes and nice plays as well. I would definitely suggest checking out the g2 against BW: https://youtu.be/7iVkycs3_To?t=5626
3-1 tonight with about the most traditional build you can go with Thing/Moon, but swapped Jace for Ral for fun.
2-1 Dredge. Lost game 1, wasnt even close. Crushed him on the swing back with Surgical + Anger.
2-1 Merfolk. Got ran over with a quick start, brought in the 3 Anger and the Roasts and Anger got it done with Thing.
2-0 Bogles. I think he just had terrible hands.
0-2 G-Tron. **** that deck.
Very far removed from anything I've played I'm afraid.
I had another 3-1, and my loss was again to Tron. I dont know what I'm supposed to do about this deck. I loathe it, but I'm unwilling to play anything but this, for long.
At least I got a 1-2 this time, but yeah, just unbearable deck to play against. Its at least a 60-40 in their favour, am I missing something? I dont know.
Over the past 6 months (on paper) I have gone from Kiki Moon to Through the Breach to TiTi Moon and have varying success, but usually going 2-2 at FNM's at my LGS, which is pretty Spike-y. It doesn't help that I'm mediocre at best, but tbh I haven't really had much love for the lists; Breach was a blast but I didn't feel like it was very strong meta-wise, and the TiTi plan felt bad when my win con got path'ed/terminated/Liliana'd etc. I just bought back into paper about a year ago, starting with BW eldrazi midrange (basically discard spells and lingering souls instead of Aether vial and thalia in eldrazi and taxes) and then buying into tarns and snaps etc. Having sunk this money into the UR shell, and not having a ton of fun, has put me into a funk. I have a Manatraders subscription for modo, so I was playing a lot of the varying top decks, and recently I've been trying to decide whether to buy into UW control or GDS with the cards I already own. I wasn't able to decide so I've just been, again, in a deck funk.
Then about a month ago, I saw a Reddit post about an all-in Kiki deck, running a playset of the gobbo and 3/3 of exarch/pester. I said **** it and threw it together, and holy *****, this is the magic that I want to be playing. While I know it's doing it's best Twin (RIP) impersonation and not too close, the "feeling" is still there. I have gone 3-1 two weeks in a row now, and quite a few of my wins have been a T5 untap and windmill slam Kiki. This deck may get less mileage as people around the store get wise to my plan, but I'm not planning on changing decks for a while, it's simply that much fun. For anyone interested, here's my list:
The original pilot who made the Reddit post had a different sideboard, such as running EE, however, I don't have any so I made some changes. There has been a big uptick in Dredge lately so I may try a batterskull or something else. The Dragon's Claw I put in the board last minute and I figured it was dumb, but it single-handedly won my match vs burn, so maybe it's not so terrible.
I'm at work so I don't have my notes, and they're pretty basic anyways, but off the top of my head the matches were:
2-0 Bant Spirits (unfortunately this was a newer pilot/player, so I'm not sure the actual match up percentage)
2-1 Humans
1-2 Humans. Had an awesome 26 minute G1 where opp had 2 meddling mages plus an image all on field naming Kiki. Took game 2 and then game 3 he curved out like humans does.
2-1 Affinity
Week 2 was:
0-2 GDS. Absolute bloodbath, nothing I could do.
2-0 Skred Red
2-0 or 2-1 (can't remember) GB
2-1 Burn. Dragon's Claw was in my opening 7 both postboard games. G3 my opp tried to wear/tear on T1, but wear is 1R so he had to take it back. I then chained Remand/Exarch tap/Snap Remand/Pester tap on his single land until I slam combo.
Anyways, I'm sorry for the long, jumbled post. I lurk a lot of threads on here but rarely post, but after my two successful weeks finishing in the money, plus my absolute enjoyment of the deck, I wanted to share. Now I'm very much strongly considering buying a playset of Twin in the event that it ever gets unbanned. I was so sad coming back to Modern after my 3-4 year break and seeing my favorite enchantment banned
Not amazing right now, MTGO is very fast these last few days, tons of Runaway Red/Phoenix decks, and its a struggle to get to turn 3 without being in Bolt range.

Turn 10, 19 (Them) to 7. I cast Drake. They concede, on their Turn 11, to Snap Cryptic on their Liliana/Tap the Team.
