Eye fetches any colorless creature, but the activation cost is huge. I'd rather just run more card draw or tutors. It can't take a land slot since it will never produce mana. Emrakul is sideboard playable at best, and he's absolutely awful in all of our even and bad matchups.
I echo what cbgirardo says. Emrakul only helps in matchups that we should already be heavily favored, more specifically the control matchups that take forever to grind out. It is otherwise dead in hand. Running Treasure Mage is way more worth it than Eye, and U Tron's list is way too tight to accommodate Emrakul without a bad cut even if we want to.
There was an article on SCGs about a Temur deck that ran a Trinket Mage+Hangerback Walker package, and my first thought was this deck. I'm looking to get into this deck, and was wondering what people thought about package, as we all know Hangerback can get big in a hurry when you have the mana available.

I don't think we're as favored against control as we once were, at least not against Grixis Control. Jeskai was always a feasible 2-0 provided you were especially patient in grinding them out, but Grixis- with its access to Tasigur and Kolaghan- can actually grind us out in the ultra long game, and can just exhaust our supply of answers and prevent us from finally blowing them out at the top of the curve. But a lone Emrakul isn't something they can deal with upon resolution (and neither can any other deck), so I really don't see the harm in making room in the sideboard for 1x 15 mana: you win the game (especially since we have nothing but time to get to that point, with or without Tron).
I got fourth place in a small local tourney with 12 people. Won against grixis delver, living end, lost against burn, and lost again to the same guy playing burn (in the top4). He path to exiled a wurmcoil and revelry platinum angel in the next turn and topdecked skullcrack every time, but i feel i made some mistakes in the tempo area, i could have improved my plan faster, and played a bit too much safe.
Anyways, im playing the 3x chalice sideboard, with a pretty stock list. I know there isnt much we can do in terms of cards already discussed, but anyone knows any special tech against burn?

Win the die roll. :/
Other than that (and I wouldn't necessarily call this 'tech') but I used to play both Batterskull and Bottle Gnomes in the side, and both worked out as well as they could (Batterskull obviously much more so). Also, I may give Trinket Mage another look now that some number of Chalice in the main is becoming the standard, as the extra body is actually relevant against whatever decks in which we want to get out a Chalice as quickly as possible.
Against Burn, Chalice on 2 into Wurmcoil is just flat out impossible for them to beat. Bottle Gnomes is a decent way of stalling until you can drop the Chalice on 2.

I did this the other night. If you're feeling spicy grab sundering Titan and take out their lands. Especially if they are in 3 colors.

I also think that grixis control is slightly unfavorable. They run a lot of cheap, hard counters like dispel. If you did drop a chalice too early then you risk eating a kolaghans command. Also, when they drop tasigur for 1 you basically have to be ready to dismember with counter magic backup because he's so cheap he allows them to protect his casting. Then if he does come down and you kill him they might just use his ability to go up on card advantage. It's a tough matchup for sure, but I'm not sure how I would like a singleton emrakul since getting to 15 or 13 mana with eye is not trivial sometimes.

I disagree, I find the Grixis control match up to be favourable, if not strongly so. Yes, if they have the god had of Scour into Tas/Angler into counter/K Command it can be difficult but other than that I find the match up to be easy. Grixis is more midrange than control and we just go bigger than them. Chalice on 1 into Chalice on 3 is almost unbeatable, Remanding a tasigur/angler is usually fairly back-breaking and Wurmcoil is always a 2 for 1 at least. The delver version is a little harder but its still a match up id take over Infect/burn/zoo any day of the week.
if they land a tasigur and activate him every turn it is insanely hard to win. I played 2 wurmcoil engines but my opponent just kept activating tasigur and 3-1'd my engines
e gad, well then, Last FNM I lost first place to that play.
I tried to tell him it is the opponent of the controller of the Tasigur who gets to choose, but then I somehow got convinced by the opponent and the store owner that it was him who chose what to get.
I will have to explain next time I go, see if we agree.
Thanks for the response.
Also, lately I have been trying out wayfarer's bauble instead of talismans (yes, I run a 24 land 2 talisman pack).
Kolaghan's command is terrible, thats another reason why I switched.
I have found over the course of the last month or so it improves our 1 drops since we only have 4 maps, it ramps and gets us blue mana, which is always scarce, what are you people's thoughts?
Grixis control has a very hard time beating wurmcoil and sundering titan, and a hard time finishing the game off before you can stick those with backup. Cryptic command is not the best against UTron and that and Kolaghan's command are how they refuel. Both are not the best compared to Remand/Thirst/condescend/repeal at maintaining velocity. Treasure mage and Solemn chump block zombie fish for days.
Dismember is also fantastic against Grixis Control. I think I've dropped one game against that deck in all the times I've played against it, and it was when they were on the play, had a turn 2 5/5 and I never drew anything useful.
So this might be a strange question, but if burn and affinity weren't a concern at all in a meta what would a sideboard look like for that? Would you even bother running spellskite or bottle gnomes? Modern isn't really played very seriously at my local fnm for the fall so I'm not sure how to build my sideboard. The only upper tier decks are amulet bloom, abzan company, storm, and rg tron. And there's only 1 of each of those decks. Suggestions?
Negate is fantastic in the sb vs rg tron. Chalice on 1 shuts down tron too. Chalice also does good vs storm I believe? Dispel is nice vs collected but that's already a winnable matchup. They go to infinite lifegain and you just mindslaver them until they mill themselves to death.

4 chalice in the 75 (@1 against Tron, @0 and @1 against Bloom Titan, @1 and @2 against Storm)
1 Jester's Cap in the side (good against Tron to either take 3 Tron lands or Karn/Emrakul, take the storm spells vs Storm)
some Negates or other counters (swan song? spell pierce? etc) in the side (targets you want to hit: Karn, Boil, Hive Mind, Summer Bloom, Pyro Asc, Past in Flames, Collected Company, Chord of Calling)
1 Crucible of Worlds (usually not worth it but should be pretty good vs Bloom Titan and Tron)
1 Tec Edge/Ghost Quarter in the side (see above)
2 Hibernation vs Abzan Company (?)
1 Pithing Needle (can name Karn, Eye of Ugin, Tolaria West, Gavony Township, Viscera Seer, Fulminator Mage, Scavenging Ooze, Quasali Pridemage, ..)
2 Squelch (same as above)
2 Dismembers (hits Azusa, Electromancer, and everything that matters in Abzan)

Chalice on 2 is the linchpin against Storm. I've seen them win through it with Ascension + counters already in play but if you Repeal the Ascension after getting the Chalice down you basically win. Chalice on 1 also does a lot of work and will buy you time but they'll still be able to win. Be mindful of Shattering Spree against them.
I've lost to Sowing Salt once or twice. It usually happens when my opponent (almost) tapped out for something, then I (allmost) tap out for engine/angel/titan etc and then I get hit by Salt. Or sometimes you just don't have a counter in hand.
