Went 9-1 today on stream. Earlier this week 8-2. Makes 17-3 this week! Currently sitting at average 72% winrate over the last month. And this is before bans! I am testing Crucible of Worlds and Ghost Quarter in the side against Tron and Valakut decks.
Have you tried crucible + ghost quarter + mouth of ronom in the main? It sounds pretty decent in theory.
Summary Dismissal seems like it should be solid vs. the opposing big mana decks. We can almost always drag them game out for a while. Countering one Ulamog is probably going to be enough, most games.
I used to have a lot of luck with spell pierce against RG tron. Valakut, I'm not sure about. Feels like they are so weak to remand that we ought to do OK.
What is the general consensus on Remand? I feel forced to run this card, is there any way to not run it and do well? I find more often than not it does nothing in my hand.

i can attest to this, i used to run a crucible, a ghost quarter and a surgical extraction at the side and it noticeably improved the r/g tron matchup..i did a 1:1 split between mage and fabricate so i can tutor for crucible when i needed to..

Yeah. Probe ban is sweet. There is peek if they want to actually spend mana
Yes. I tried comp league once and went 2-3, 2-3 in one stream and my 50 tix bankroll halved. In friendlies even if I have a bad day I am not losing much, so it's more sustainable. Obviously right now I am making about 100 tix/month, but who knows how long I will be having more than 70% winrate.
I recently acquired a u tron deck and I've been having pretty good records. It feels like the worst matchup by far is infect. However a few days ago I got 2 chalices to combat that and burn (mostly). I've been running solemn and he feels pretty solid in most matchups, but in the very fast aggro games I feel that thought-knot is superior. I'm going to play tonight and the meta in my lgs is very diverse, with just burn and infect showing up almost every time. My list is as follows:

Our main board lists are identical, i just dont run the Spatial Contortions maindeck and in their place i have the rocks. My meta is real slow though, i did the numbers recently but my local meta is something like 25% Aggro (Burn, Affinity, Dredge) 25% Combo/Ramp (Eldrazi, Tron, Valakut, Living End) and 50% Fair decks (Grixis, UWR, GBx, URx, Hatebears, Esper, UW) you get my drift. My meta is super favorable to the ramp decks, i havent played Jund in 2 months despite having it sleeved and ready to play at a moment's notice. Tron is where i want to be right now, if i move to a new deck it will have to be something like a Through the Breach deck or a Loam deck.

My meta is pretty aggro and midrange alos with Affinity, Souls Sisters, BW Tokens, Hatebears, Death and Taxes, etc. I don't run Chalice mainboard, but I'm willing to try maybe Fatal Push in the side in place of Dismember (because I run the black splash). More testing to come with this!
Improvise does basically nothing (very rarely you will be able to tap chalice), UUU is at the very least one U too many. The spell itself is also way too expensive... you cannot tap 8 or 9 mana very often to tutor a threat. If it was UX or UUX it might be useful for getting sideboard silver bullets... but even then a Fabricate is probably better because it can also get you the big stuff cheaply.
I went 4-0 and got first place for the first time with U-tron the other day. I topdecked like a god the entire evening, and pretty much every single card in my deck played a huge role the whole night.
R1: vs Jeskai Nahiri 2-1
G1: He was on the play, and I had power plant, mine, and island out on the field. I had a tower and ugin in hand. On his upkeep before he drew, I played anticipate to try to trap him. He lets it resolve, sees that my only blue source is tapped (thinking I misplayed), and slams a Nahiri. I uptap, play tower, drop Ugin and delete Nahiri.
G2: All I remember is that a Geist of Saint Traft slipped through somehow and stirred up my insides with his big mighty angel.
G3: Kind of a grindy game, I played sad robot and he got pathed. I ended up resolving a Sundering Titan, but he survived it and nearly clawed back out. He also took out an Ugin. I won with slaver lock.
R2:Mono green stompy 2-0
G1:I managed to survive until t7 to drop platty angel and steal the game. I was kind of scared of Beast Within then turn I played the angel, but he didnt have it and as soon as I untapped I had 3 counterspells to defend it.
G2: He plays a bunch of stuff like Leatherback baloth, strangleroot geist, and ramgang. He gets me down to 3 at one point and I'm in topdeck mode. He swings for lethal, and I give myself one more turn by casting Aetherize. I untap, draw a Chalice and set it on 3 so he cant replay his threats. He plays a Great Sable Stag through chalice, which I remanded and condescended for p
0 to draw/scry(crucial), and a manadork. I topdecked a Batterskull and played it to stabilize. His turn, he plays a Cloudthresher (First time I've ever seen this card) and puts me to 1 with it, and passes. On my turn, I swing with batterskull, germ gets chump blocked, and I replay it because I have 4 towers and 4 plants/mines out. For the next 2 turns I bounce between 1 and 5 life because I have to chump the cloudthresher every turn and 4 damage slips through. He plays a Llanowar elf and threatens lethal next turn. I topdeck wurmcoil and play it. My next turn I had to equip the batterskull on the wurmcoil for vigilance, swing with it, and replay it post combat to have as many blockers as possible. He eventually gets the wurmcoil killed, but I just academy ruins it back and grind him down. I went to 20 life, to 1, then all the way up to like 80.
R3: RUG Delver 2-1
G1: He plays a blood moon, and then a blue ambush viper, and proceeds to make 11 land drops in a row and passing the turn. I won easily.
G2: I felt bad, and it was pretty friendly, so I decided to sandbag a little and kept a hand with 2 gemstone caverns as my only lands. I missed my landdrops turns 1-3, and then a gentleman walked by and reminded me that gemstone is legendary.
G3: He played a blood moon on t4 with an island open to represent spell pierce. I tried to counter it, and my condescend resolved. I killed him with mindslaver lock later.
R4: Fish 2-0
G1: I expected to lose this matchup, and told the guy I'd be down to split anytime. But since the prize pool was small, we decided it would have been more fun and satisfying to play it out. Game 1, I had a really good hand with 2 power plants, 2 mines, a tower and some interaction. I held the tower in hand to protect it from spreading seas. After he used it, I was able to assemble tron 2 turns later and get an o-stone out for a soft lock.
G2: I had a wonky hand with 2 mines, island, sad robot, and O-stone. I instantly kept it because of the O-stone, and it paid off. I was going to go for the softlock again, but my academy ruins got turned into a island before I could use it and I was getting beaten down by a mutavault. The turn before he had lethal, he played a cursecatcher, and I condescended for 0 just to scry. I bottomed both cards, drew into a Thirst for Knowledge. I cast it, drew island, island, ghost quarter. I GQ'd his mutavault, and dropped to 1 from cursecatcher, and he played another mutavault to threaten lethal again. It's my turn again, and I topdeck Platty Angel, and slammed it with exactly 7 mana. I had no counterspells to protect it, so I had to make choice. I can put him on a 5 turn clock if I swing, but if he ever draws a harbinger of the tides (uncounterable because vial), I die. I could play around it, by waiting for Ugin, but then I was really afraid of waiting around because of something like vapor snag (he never showed it, and probably didnt even run it now that I think about it). I ended up swinging 5 times and taking the game. He told me later that he took out his dismembers for g2.
The craziest thing about the night was that every little change I made prior to the event was crucial. I took out a spatial and put in a kaladesh island, and in both the games where I needed and had exactly 7 or 8 mana for platty angel/ugin, the kaladesh island was there. I took out a gemstone from the main because 2 was too many, and replaced it with a ghost quarter, and BAM. In the final game, the GQ appeared just in time. The same goes for sad robot, I was debating between running him or another TKS, and in every game he appeared in, I probably would have lost if it were a TKS because Ugin would not have made it in time. The game where I dropped to 1 against green stompy, I would have lost if I ran x2 wurmcoil which I heavily considered instead of a 1/1 split with batterskull.

I want to fit 1 more condescend in the list. I'm considering cutting a TKS, or an island. TKS is so powerful, but I don't like playing it. I might also swap out sundering titan for a torrential gearhulk. Any suggestions?
