That enchantment would be more relevant if you expected counterspells. If your meta is low on Blue (other than Phoenix or Spirits), I'd skip that enchantment.
New Domri seems like an amazing SB option vs midrange. Gives haste or digs 4 cards and gets up to 2 hits.
New Domri could be excellent at improving the ability of the deck to grind through removal heavy match up. Was thinking about Rhythm of the wild but Domri, for 1 more mana, allows us to dig 4 deep of the combo pieces are missing. It’s +1 reminds me of Teferi in that if u have 5 mana to start with, its essentially a 3 mana planeswalker able to pump out a hasty Devoted Druid. Being a planeswalker means that it also gives our deck another angle of attack that hard creature remova Spell can’t interact with.
The ult probably won’t go off often but could be game winning against deck like UW control that Durdle or spend too many slots only on creature removal. I am definitely gonna main deck it and try it in Naya Devoted Company soon!
Here it is, I really like Scryb ranger too, but I don't have many time to test it unfortunatly
Can be good with Tireless landfall, extra G if you miss land for a turn, great with KoR, can untap an surprise blocker and can block Crackling Drake. Also not hit by Electrolyze
Had someone mention the Incubation Druid + Vigean Graftmage in a Bant Counter Company Shell ?
I didn't play this Decktype, but i think it could be worth to think about to possible find 1 more infinite Mana Combo.
I've fallen off of this deck because I found myself unable to grind out midrange decks. They pack a lot of graveyard hate and removal, plus they often present a quick clock. Has anyone had great success against midrange? Do you have any advice on builds, sideboarding, or playing against midrange?
Hey,
I think the same thing as you, besides, I never liked the version with KoR. I came back to this kind of list (http://www.reddit.com/r/ModernMagic/comments/9qtlmg/1st_place_at_modern_10k_with_abzan_company_101/) that I like a lot.
I think it's much better against midrange decks and removals spots in general thanks to V. seer.
Finks is very good in the meta mono red / burn growing, I have much better results since my return to this list.
Greetings

Saffi, Renegade Rallier, and Kitchen Finks arguably make this version more reliant on the graveyard than the KotR versions But I suppose there's no replacement for Finks when it comes to surviving removal and pressure.
The meta has changed a lot over the past year, and it seems Abzan Company has completely fallen out of favour. The current Top 8 most played decks in the Meta are horrible matchups for Abzan Company as they all have removal + a fast clock, which is this decks weakness.
The main deck which still places on MTGO is played by Laplasjan, and his list is more of a mid-range beat down with combo as a backup, which I really don't like, and don't feel it better than the Modern 10K list.
Is this deck mostly dead now, or is it still good and just not as popular as the newer decks?
I'm playing a version that's very similar to the Modern 10k list from a few months ago that ran a third combo with Safi Eriksdotter for infinite scry. (see my sig for decklist).
Any chance this deck comes back to at least Top 16? I haven't seen it Top 16 in a LONG time, except for MTGO.
I'm playing the deck for a quite long time now. I'm not super happy with collected company and tried multiple variants but nothing great until now. But now I'm thinking of Vannifar in that slot. Not to go full combo with it (no Kiki?) but only to (try to) strengthen main combos. I'll try with something like this
21 lands including 2 breeding pool as blue sources
4 birds
4 noble
4 druids
4 vizier
2 Duskwatch recruiter
1 ballista
4 kitchen finks
1 seer
1 witness
1 ooze
4 chord
3-4 Vannifar
5-6 flex slots (murderous redcap, shalai, voice of resurgence, renegade rallier, Glen elendra ...)
This thread has been fairly dead lately and that makes a lot of sense with KCI and Phoenix making for a very fast format. However, the meta is slowing down a bit, IMO, and will only continue to slow down more. So this version of Druid Combo may be optimal once again.
However, the same problems (other than speed) of the past still plague this deck: midrange and control play plenty of graveyard hate. How are we supposed to beat them if our primary source of card advantage (Kitchen Finks grind) and 1 out of 3 of our secondary sources (Eternal Witness, vs Collected Company and Duskwatch activations) are graveyard based? Anyone have some advice for playing against extensive graveyard hate?
This is imo the best build of the deck. Combos fast and hard, grinds like hell after boarding.
Had my first 4-0 in my store last week, with a back to back 2:0 against Jeskai (2 Gideons in Board ;-))
Red is great for Kessig maybe, that's all.
New Domri seems like an amazing SB option vs midrange. Gives haste or digs 4 cards and gets up to 2 hits.

But I misread your og post I thought Laplasjan is playing with Scryb Ranger now.
The big question is what to cut?

4x Eternal Witness? That's pretty intense. Also increases graveyard dependence.
