Still no chance of making a hybrid of the Ooze and Shoal lists? In theory, it ought to be possible...

Vintage: Blue Belcher, Mentor Remora, Burning Long
Legacy: ANT, Sneak and Show, Omnitell, Oops All Spells
Modern: Grishoalbrand, Infect, UR Storm, Ad Nauseam, Lantern Control
You need 8 slots min to pull this off, these would be (based on GarettYoungs list) 4 Soul Spike (no need, if you draw Shoal), 2 Tasigur, 1 land (22 are to much imo)and 1 Lightning Axe (not sure on this one).
Though, you kinda want some numbers of Through the Breach in the deck (to breach in Wurm) and/or Desperate Ritual.

Kathal

What I play or have:
Modern/Legacy
either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)
Given the banlist announcement and ensuing changes to the format, what are thoughts about changes to the sideboard? I imagine this applies to maindeck also but I'm assuming the current Grixis list is the best (which it may not be going forward).
I quit this deck since I personally think it's bad now - highest ceiling but just horrible horrible do nothing games - (personal experience and no one is ever surprised by it anymore) but I saw a list on channel fireball that takes a dramatic departure from this stock list. I thought it was interesting. Not sure how good it is against Eldrazi though. It's a grixis build and completely forgoes the instant kill.
It just shows, how little EFro knows about this deck, it is a shame
Greetings,
Kathal
PS: Arguing with the crowed, that the deck is not the *herp derp I win* deck but is hard to play is useless (tried it, gave up on it, cause Internet people).

i like how any article on it makes it seem like its an invincible turn 2 always... sometimes the deck literally does nothing.
He must have played exactly 0 games with his own list. He is not running Fury of the Horde to continue attacking with Griselbrand ro Shoal to gain life and go on with the combo.

It's not his list, that's a list that 5-0'd a Modern League on MTGO. EFro's "Deck of the Day" articles are basically the same as GerryT's "Daily Digest" on SCG: They pick a list that showed up in the Wizards reporting of Leagues / Daily Events, and write a quick blurb about it.

Not just the Tendo King, the power of the Galactic Leyline surpasses that of the Tempa Emperor, No!, It's magnificent power is even greater than that!
This is my current grixis list, I won the last 3 modern tourney I played it in. I'd like to fit lightning axe in sideboard and play like a one of snapcaster somewhere. The one of Noxious revival, Halimar deapths, and temple have been flowing nicely. Also the cut of manamorphose and added triple ritual have made the deck really explosive.

My fault. I thought people who wrote these kind of articles would actually have played the deck they are talking about to an extent. Didn't get the point of the article. Now that you mention it, GT articles always seemed kind of awkward, giving some brews but never going in depth about them. +1 for the insight

thoughts from other grixis players would be appreciated.
I would throw the noxious revival and a ritual. Revival hurts a lot more than they are worth, specially when running 3 colors, and you don't really need 3 rituals. Add some number of night's whisper or painful truths, they will help you to go through the TTB plan.
Is there a reason for running gemstone mines? I'd say blackcleave cliffs are better in most of the cases.
G1: got lucky g1 with a early worldspine wurm, ******* got real close though
sided: -2 nwhisp -ttb -blood moons/ +leyline +pyroclasm
G2: got leyline down and pyroclasm into a combo.
M2: infect 2-1
G1: played inkmoth first i did a turn 2 blood moon. combo'd turn 4
-blood moons -1ttb -1DR [ i dont know why]
+pyroclasm +inquistion
G2: killed me turn 2
G3: t2 killed him
M3: naya burn 1-2
G1: combo turn 2 [ got the nuts]
-same sb as match1
G2: milled to 5 cause i really had to but i got a leyline so i kept it. mother ****er destructive reveled me and it went all down him from there even with a shoal Worldspine heal.
G3: just didnt have anything and misplayed playing a pyroclasm that costed me the match.
M4: naya burn 2-0
G1: he had 2 rift on suspense 2 swift spears and a grim lavamancer ready to kill me next turn. top decked goryo with an early griselbrand in the gy for the win
-sideboard plan the same
G2: in my opening hand got leyline down and he didnt expect it and ended up winning around turn 7.
ended with some decent pack pulls and store credit, didnt get any free matchups like jund/azban/or tron like usually shows up. played all fast decks and it was spooky. playing griselhoalbrand against burn or infect is literally straining my life but it was still fun.
thoughts: i dont feel like the splash of blue is needed. i would run the grixis if i was planning on playing fury of the horde version but i want to see how the new format is going to adjust before i make any changes. even though i played all fast decks i still REALLY like blood moon in the mb and i think it will be better in the new format.

Can you sense the pattern here?

How do you like Jace in this deck? Do you find the looting ability not enough since he'll most likely flip?
Went 5-0 in the Modern League today also
list is attached.
Only loss was to Merfolk
Beat...
Burn x2
BW Tokens
TitanShift
Zooicide
Jund
Goryo/Fury of the horde
GR Tron
I'm running a similar build. Except, I went down 2 night's whisper and added an additional Manamorphose and a Tormenting Voice.
