What's everyone's opinion about Chalice of Void? What do you Sideboard them in against? I assume Death's Shadow, Living End, Burn, Elves, Storm. What other matchups would you bring them in against and what do you normally board them out for them?
I think it's a meta call. in a meta where decks like grixis shadows, infect, and lantern and storm don't exist I could see myself without it. as for what to take out for them, generally chalices come in when your plan A is invalidated for one reason or another (breach is too slow vs. infect/storm, grixis shadows is a favourite to have an answer for even our t2 hands, etc.). In that case, I board out some combo and side into a bad Legacy Big Red deck i.e. control/prison. For example, vs Grixis Shadows I would personally side as follows:
+3 Chalice of the Void
+3 Blood Moon
-2 Cathartic Reunion
-1 Desperate Ritual
-1 Breach (because a meaningful amount of games can end before turn 5)
-1 shoal/Wurm (Comboing is a smaller part of your gameplan, because they are at low life totals so often an actually reanimated borb/griselbrand or a breached wurm is often good enough)
An interesting spot in the turbo hollowed matchup. I ended up winning by stalling the game out a bit by breaching in a boryb to block an angler and save a land to shoot a guy that cycled to get +1/0. Waited out a couple more turns and had a really good looting to get a Griseldad on board and kill with 7 dmg attack
Thoughts on Quick Silver Amulet in the sideboard and when to bring it in? I feel we end up ramping a lot of the time that having a "permament thread" on the board can be pretty good.

From what I have played the sideboard is either very few cards to still have a potent combo or a lot of cards ie. bloodmoons collective negations/boseju and a few others and pulling one of out win cons(shoals/breach/goryos) and I think this might be too slow. but it looks interesting
an interesting but potentially gamebreaking thing to remember vs split second (mostly talking about wipe away from storm) is that you should be mindful of that spell with borb and griselbrand by throwing lethal lands or drawing cards and holding priority until you've executed the desired abilities. came up in walaloumpas stream as an example but this is relevant vs a current popular tier 1 deck
Good point, finalnub. I probably wouldn't have thought of that until it was too late.
As for quicksilver, it is good against a lot of GY hate. It is another way to put cards into play from your hand (like Breach). If you're bringing those in your probably cutting Goryos. The thing is, they are relatively slow, so they are not good against decks with a lot of GY hate that also kill quickly. So, you want them against grindy decks with GY hate. The ability of quicksilver is good against control decks but trying to resolve it is terrible, so I don't think I want it vs counter spells. I'd rather have spliceable Wincons. I don't think quicksilver is good right now, although I want it to be.
The deck is more complicated than most people realize. Sure, anyone can win on t2, but winning the more difficult games comes with skill. There are a lot of lines most people don't see; it takes some practice. I do pretty well with the deck, but still realize lines that would have won a turn too late. It's easy to make mistakes. So, taking your time and thinking it through are important. Don't let yourself go on autopilot. That's why I'm love when people post the puzzles on here.
Are there any good video I can see of ppl playing this deck? I've seen some of Bob Huangs old SCG stuff, but id like to see some things from the current meta. Any streamers? Besides jeff hoogland..hes annoying to me.
I agree. He's the first Streamer I'd donate some money to.

ha that's flattering but unfortunately my full time job wouldn't allow me to do that. It has been a pet project (goal?) of mine to make some gameplay videos though, and I have been marking games I find to be incredible/remarkable for one reason or another when I log games. So maybe I'll make it a goal to make some Grishoalbrand videos within this year..

Yes yes yes!
Yeah you should post some videos man..it's really hard to find a video that you can actually see some plays from a player that's already used to the deck..most videos i see are noobs that you can't learn anything that you can use on a competitive tournament..on that note what do you usually board out on the eldrazitron matchup?..is blood moon even worth it?..most of them are packing maps & minds stones..

I thought this deck had a good eldrazi tron match up..its one of the reasons I'm interested in it. does it not? I thought we ate the deck for dinner and were happy to see it.
What I know about that match-up, it feels good but not rofl stomp good (like traditional Tron). Why? Cause Chalice on 2 can be annoying and a fast TKS can also be a pain. Furthermore, they are playing Needle (and/or Spyglass) between their MD and SB, combined with their Relics and Cages they have several interaction elements.
However, a couple Shattering Spree solves the SB issues most of the time ^^

What I play or have:
Modern/Legacy
either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)
I like BM against drazi, for sure on the play. I don't always bring it, but mostly do. Especially when I know they're not playing mindstone. I know they can do things through BM, but it slows them down which is all we need. Slowing them down also makes Breach that much better, which beats all they're GY hate. I also might like a bontu depending what other tools you have. I like Axe better, though, if that's available. Definitely want all the shatter effects you can get.

I've seen that too lol. I guess I meant someone that streams often.
I have neither the time nor an Modo account that I would be able to stream games with it.
