That's a lot of basics, I would probably drop a land for another 2 drop mb, scooze maybe? Also, I would swap some basics for some utility lands like raging ravine, horizon canopy, ghost quarter. Fire-lit thicket is also nice as a 1 of. a couple of arid mesa would be good too for consistency.

I realize that there are a lot of basics in the deck, the main reason is because I have a pretty tight budget. I will slowly upgrade to 1 fire-lit, 2 razor-verge, and a raging ravine. But I have been playing the deck vs my friends to see how the land base handles without those and it is very playable.

Actually I just realized I am running 24 lands, that wasn't part of the plan. Thanks for pointing that out. So for now I brought in the Sin collector from the side into the main and brought in another forge tender to the board but as soon as I can I will grab that scooze like you suggested.
Im intrigued about the phenax plan... could you elaborate about it?
My list is on last page, I play wall chord or as i call it "Kiki chord" so EoT chord for Phenax, mill them. Untap activate township mill to win. I can never make it a creature unless kiki+deceiver, so it makes it where control is forced to cryptic and then counter it when I try to replay it. It allows me to drop 2 creatures and mills for 4-10 a turn putting them on a clock forcing them to agressivly boardwipe and waste removal on walls.
While I just keep a full hand.

Thank you for the fast response! id like to test your list. Seems very very interesting
It had been doing very well.
In the last 6 months.
Top 8 4-3-1 +top 9 4-2 IQ both 50+ players
Top 100/1.2k open 6-3
Top 30/500 regionals 6-3
Goes 3-1 average in 40+ player tourneys every week, and 4-0 once every 2-3 weeks (MU/playing)
hardest MU 8 rack and bring to light shift. Anything else you have a 50% or better MU vs. Just make sure you fully memorize the list you run so you know all chord/wargate targets and how to play. I have been on this deck a year and still make misplays as there is just so many possible options and ways to play. I'm at Maybe 85% optimal play with it.

more questions about your list, being mostly walls, how do you manage to find business spells on time? for example, other chord lists runs eternal witness or so to reuse chords and things like that, and more value creatures. It is something that happens too often?

4 cantrip walls, 5 chord effects, and I do run 2 witness.
Staticaster/courser are flex spots.
Match 1, Abzan Company 2-1: G1 He got his combo one turn faster than me. G2 got there on like turn 7 G3 Grind fest on a mull to 6 but got the combo while at 4 life
Match 2, Death's Shadow Jund 2-1: This was my friend so we have played this matchup like 25 times. G1 turn 2 magus on the play. G2 magused myself with only 2 forest and got no other lands. G3 Scooze=MVP
Match 3, GB Rock 0-2: I have a felling this is always gonna be a tough matchup. G1 Kept a risky 2 lander and he had all the removal. G2 He just beat me, no specific reason just, he beat me.
Match 4, Combo Elves, 0-2: Once again my fried so We've played the matchup a bunch. G1 He makes like 7 tokens I pontiff off chords, next turn makes infinite tokens, Ewit get chord get resto blink pontiff, then attack him down to 5. then he plays nothing down to 2. Then he goes chord for heritage druid play essence warden and gains infinite tokens and life. I drew windswept heath. G2 flooded out.
So I'm pretty happy with the deck it was a lot of fun and I just love playing all the tutors.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
Hey everyone I've been away from the forums for a while but I'm still on this deck. I'm planning on taking it to GP Vegas but I'm still figuring out my list. I'm expecting to see a lot of Death's Shadow, eldrazi tron, and affinity.
This list is tuned for my local meta, which has more control and midrange than I expect to see at the GP. If anyone has any thoughts about how to build Kiki Chord for the expected GP meta I'd love to hear.

Here is what I'm currently running, http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/kiki-evo-back-splash/ and I think it is going pretty well, my manabase is suprisingly consistant, and I love all the one ofs that are a little unusual. Namely Fiend Hunter.
Big tourny
2x 6-3 (26th/400 and 87th/900)
1x 4-2 (9th/40)
1x 4-2-1 (8th/69)
MU'S From what I remember/keeping track of 55/70 wins, 23/25 losses, The MU numbers are about 95% correct some may be 1 or 2 numbers off as I keep track of most matches just not all.
Hey everyone, with the new infinite mana combo of Devoted Druid and Vizier of remedies, wouldn't it be a great home for Kiki Chord since this deck is very mana hungry and that just Chord of Calling is a 1 card combo? You can insta kill with a chord in hand and the infinite mana combo in play. Since we already use mana dork in our base list, the cost of adding Devoted druid and vizier is not too bad and the upside is adding a lot of speed to the deck which would help greatly agaisnt fast combo decks like storm/affinity and the world famous TRON decks that eat us up T3.
I feel like this would be a nice home to add the combo since we already have a infinite mana sink kill that is naturally in the deck.

I've played a ton of matches now with the Abzan lists and the biggest draw is just having access to Finks/Seer/Vizier combo on top Druid/Vizier, which just makes for a much better all in combo strategy. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I believe any deck playing Vizier/Druid that isn't Abzan Coco is probably just a worse version of the deck.
On a side note, I have had a decent amount of success against the deck after making space for Linvala, Keeper of Silence + Harsh Mentor in my board and bringing back Phyrexian Revoker to the main. As always, if Abzan Company picks up (it will).. hate for Kiki Company will pick up as well. Expect more Cages, Angers and removal heavy strategies to fight it in the near future.
Took a Nahiri list splashing black (very similar to this from Mr. Hoogland) to a 3-round event today. Went 2-1 despite my mess of a sideboard.
2-0 vs UB Mill
OP got stuck on 2-3 lands both games, though Archive Trap did some work. Nahiri for Inferno Titan closed out G1, then Nahiri for Kiki into Resto won G2. Nahiri was of course great, since OP's deck couldn't pressure her at all.
1-2 vs Grixis Shadow/Delver
Lost G1 to absurdly large creatures for 1 mana; didn't have the removal to keep up or a fast combo to steal the game. Ooze carried G2. Drew a lot of lands G3 and ran out of gas.
2-0 vs 4C Gifts
Got a few Voices + tokens G1, and the tokens were large enough to survive OP's Gifts into Unburial Rites for Elesh Norn. Chord for Witness rebuying Path disposed of the Elesh Norn and the tokens closed it out easily. G2 was a grind, but Witness beatdown did a lot of work, then Inferno Titan finished the job. The matchup seems pretty favorable, and I won both games with a hand still full of gas.
The main deck seemed pretty well set configured, though the sideboard was bad (entirely my fault for forgetting to build it ahead of time). Fiery Justice seems insane right now, with Death's Shadow and Devoted Druid/Vizier decks being everywhere. I've seen a lot of people moving away from Nahiri, which is reasonable though I still like her a lot. I'll continue to test her.
Follow the link for nice cheap clothing.
