what are the possibilities and abilities of shifting from a proactive naya black to a reactive white temur? Mana base aside, Restoration Angel already acts at instant speed so would swapping out some of the proactive creatures for some reactive flash creatures like spell queller & vendilion clique. Or even include a couple Elder Deep-Fiends to sac our spent 3+ cmc creatures so on our opponent's upkeep, put them off of a turn while also having a 5/6 in play.
Not saying it's an optimal idea but just one I think is worth toying around with, thoughts?
You could play blue Chacabos. Glen Elendra Archmage do come to mind. I even made a similar post above trying to do this.
The crux of the debate is that we are only playing red for one card that is trippel red. Yes, magus of the moon, Pia and Kiran and the ocational bolt or Nahiri is also red, but if it was not for Kiki-Jiki we would not be in red. The power of Kiki-Jiki is often enough to justefy that, but all of the other colours are filled with goodstuff that makes up the 59 other cards.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
I believe I saw it, blue has a real strong arsenal in the form of its flash creatures(and a lot of them fly for 2-3 damage) and as you said, glen is strong. That is one thing I really dont like about kiki-jiki is the RRR in his cmc making the mana base extremely awkward and sometimes painful. The thune combo is pretty easy to slot in and less painful but it just doesnt synergize as well as kiki does. I can see the debate to play red or not to since on one hand the pay off is real good and game ending but the other is it taxes the mana base heavily.
I haven't played modern in about a year now since my local lgs meta got a little too strong for my understanding and skill with kiki chord. Grant I miss the format so reassembling the deck since it's the only one I enjoy.

I really like blue as a microsplash opposed to black, but having that extra graveyard hate in black really seals the deal for me. There are alot of new combo decks that use the graveyard....

You can put some out of colour surgical extraction in your sideboard even without black. Also, birds can cast them painless.
In my last tournament I needed to know what was in my jeskai controll opponents hand. I exstracted his flooded strand end of his turn 2. Looked at his hand and he did not have more lands except the one flooded strand in hand. Also no anger of the goods. Very nice.

Artvi that list is really going of the rails and I like it.
- Blessed alliance instead of path's. (I supose dead eye harponer can help.)
- Deciever Exchark as the second combo piece. (You already have blue manadorks, and exchark can work vs emrakul reanimation etc.)
Nice.
I would change things a little bit. I woukd rather runn Wulshock Sorcerer instead of izzet static caster.
Also playing Coco means paying a tax when building the deck, so you might as well play the full 4 CoCo. You only have 26 targets for CoCo so go down some of the creatures.
- 1 resto angel, - 1 revelark put in 1 kitchen finks (good with CoCo) and 1 coco.
Sideboard -1 avalance rider -1 aurok Champion + 1 revelark + 1 fulminator mage. Now you can flip 3 fulimators and magus of the moon on a coco. Revelark can buy them back.
You could also do -3 collected company -1 fauna shaman -1 deciever exchark
+1 chord of calling + 1 restorration angel + 2 wall of roots + 1 deadeye harpooner. Now you get more out of restoration angel and deadeye harpooner (witch is a sweet interaction) As is Resto Angel and Rennegade Rallier.
But if the deck runs fine, don't change it.

Not quite sure rn, Probably a WURG version with a 4/2 split of chord n evolution with a third evolution in sb for when I need to race the combo. I am half tempted to use the thune combo over kiki so a Kira can be ran to protect everything BUT the potential power and synergy kiki provides is worth the RRR.
Caldera Hellion is seriously spicy.
I went 4-1 in a FNM yesterday. Won: Merfolk, GW hatebears, burn, infect. Lost: Expertise deck/breaking/entering deck, stealing my creatures to attack, casting breaking to mill their library, and entering to put emrakul/griselbrand into play. The worst part of this deck is that you cannot activate scavenging ooze between these two parts of the card (which i tried, i should have evo for anafenza). Im using a slightly different list, but inspired by klepic's.
The new flavor of the week decks are cheeri0s and these expertise decks so play your Eidolon of rhetoric!!
Hey guys, nice to hear that my list inspired someone to try something similar too!
Last night I went to FNM and with 3-1 Score I sneaked into T4. I lost only to Jund 2-1 in rounds with really spicy games. All 3 games was close, but he manage to defeat me. This MU is favorable for us, but it was not my day(honestly, whole day was lucky for me, but my plays through whole day was really poor). In T4 I won against, lets say mirror, but he was not playing Eldritch version, he was playing traditional Kiki Chord version of the deck. Finals was again vs. Jund. The thing why Im writing this is to encourage people to try this version because Im competing with this deck for a while on verious touraments and Im really having succes with it. Howerver, from price boosters last night I opened my 5th masterpiece card, and it was 3rd masterpiece from price boosters! However, I opened Horzion Canopy, so Im really happy, and I think I'll replace it with normal version in my deck!
Lets discuss Gavony Township?
I think that we should loose less games on the longer games, the option to pump your team when you have nothing else to do is really strong and wins games on its own. I was seeing ari lax SCG play with kiki evolution (old list) splashing blue instead of black and he recommended 2 instead of 1 gavony township. Most lists dont even run it - probably because we are short on basics as it is. But i would argue that the difference between the normal manabases and with gavony are likely to be few, as a blood moon will be problematic for both examples, excluding the cases where you can fetch a basic. The effect is really strong, and i already won some matches solely because of it.
@Klepic: i wish i was that lucky !

I could see that, during eldrazi winter I ran an Archangel of Thune just to pump my team and it did wonders if they didn't remove her. Glissa was also pretty sweet tech against things bigger than my dudes since not a lot things can win against first strike and deathtouch.

i don't recommend Gavony Township in any of the 4/5 colour variants of Kiki/Chord. However, if you are running 3 colour variants (eg: naya kiki chord), 1 copy would suffice.
personally, the mana requirements for kiki/chord is very strict... running lands that do not provide coloured mana just feels bad when you draw into it or have it in your opening hand when you need double X mana.
I agree that in a coco build where you see a lot more mana dorks and smaller impact creatures, gavony allows you to convert from a lackluster board into a game ending force pretty quickly. Also the coco builds are less jammed on mana when compared to non-coco builds and since you game plan often resolves around chaining coco, a spell which is pretty easy to cast with any land-base.
In a non-coco build I highly recommend leaving any colorless lands at home (with the exception of a ghost quarter as your 23rd land if tron heavy). Many of your hands will lack a dork, and you must sequence from voice turn two into a pia and kiran turn four (worst case scenario) and still balance a potential 4th color. Personally I have kept hands where my two lands were a murmuring bosk and a fire-lit thicket... It seems horrible but if one of those lands had been a gavony I would probably not be able to cast any card in my hand. Furthermore, the non-coco builds are more susceptible to blood moon. If you have an extra land slot, the third basic forest is my go-to.
Again if on a coco list refer to luda or whocansay, they are far more experienced with that deck than I.
I feel pretty strongly for the one of Gavony Township. It allows us to put on a very fast clock without committing more resources to the table. It allows for our creatures to block more favourably like, for wall of omens to block 4/X's (TKS, Tarmos) with ease. The one of Ghost quarter can be good in a big mana meta but tbf it still has the problems of a hand with fire lit thicket and gavony. I dont have that hand come up very often.
While I was playing only Naya colors in my Evo list, I was running 1x Gavony Township. It felt great to have it as a backdoor solution. After I moved to Naya splash black version I removed Gavony from my deck. I would not recommand using Gavony even if all of us know that its so good land in any creature based deck. I was trying to fit it in my Naya Black Evo version but colours in the deck is so intensive and its often bad when u draw this land only because it doesnt give any color. As Patrickgooley said, I also had hands with 2 lands including Gavony and that hand is often mulligan and if that Gavony was any other coloured land, I would keep that hand.
However, I want to mention 1-off star of the deck: Raging Ravine. Guys, this land is nuts. I won many games using this land. In short time it makes so much preasure. Often opponents forgot about that land and doesnt think that this deck CAN be really aggressive. Just imagine EOT Flash in Resto, on ur turn reanimate land and swing for 7 points from no where. If you have any other creature to attack, that's even more damage. I am always happy to see Ravine in my hand or battlefield. I was even thinking to add more numbers in my deck but that could be clunky with Bosk, and sometimes Thicket since they do ETB tapped(Thicket not in first few turns but you got what Im trying to say). I just think 1-off Ravine is the right number! I have been trying also each other man-land in this slot but all of them falls in shadow of Raging Ravine!
