Yup, Nahiri is still there - I don't know if she's necessary but boy does she put in work once she lands. No replacement for Fauna Shaman as I'm on 27 creatures currently. CoCo whiffs occasionally but that's life...
Hey Luda, what cuts would you consider for 2 Nahiris?
I'm currently running 3 CoCo (I'm still looking for the 4th one to trade), and 61 cards since I have no idea what to cut for her, because I'm still new to the deck.
PS: Loving your spin on Kiki chord, congrats on the deck building
What would you cut for the Exarchs? Resto is a much better card in general in Chord, and running Exarch and Resto would cut into bullet space. Not sure we want to do that. Maybe a little more reasonable in Company, but not sure we really want that effect very much.
I suggest testing an idea like that for a solid ten matches bare minimum before raising it on the thread, otherwise & without data it quickly devolves into "I think this would be good" then "No I don't think so"- wasted time that does nothing for our archetype.
A good recent example of this was the bunch of posts dedicated to sin prodder, which has no merit in this archetype.
Also: "No I don't think so".
In a company shell if you were going 4 of that effect it should be pestermite due to the faster, evasive clock - especially considering Kiki combo is dead to bolt anyway- but I don't actually consider this worth testing regardless.
Played Luda's list tonight with a Fiery Justice instead of the 2nd Fulminator.
Affinity 2-0
Game 1: we both go to 6, I'm on the play. I staticaster turn 2 and an overseer, he galv blasts it. Plays another overseer, I path it and play voice, he makes an etched champion. I company into another voice and finks. He platings. We race back and forth. I win.
Game 2: turn 2 kataki, turn 3 chord for image copy kataki. Turn 4 company. Staticaster Spellskite. He never recovers.
BG Infect 2-0
Game 1: turn 2 staticaster turn 3 Shaman bird turn 4 Spellskite company into bell ringer, combo turn 5
Game 2: turn 2 magus, he has all non basics in playour, turn 3 Shaman, turn 4 shaman for staticaster slowly win from there. He never sees a basic.
Elves 2-0
Game 1: Turn 2 staticaster again. This card just keeps showing up. Mow him down, eventually chord for image to copy it. Beat down with a voice with double exalted from hierarchs.
Game 2: keep a hand that's turn 2 Fiery justice. End up casting finks on 2 then Fiery Justice heritage druid, dwynen's and token and a llanowar on 3. He leads the stampede to refill. I draw bell ringer and kill him by making bell ringer free off of dorks and chording for kiki.
Rg Tron 1-2
Game 1: Ugin is a hard card to beat on the draw or at any point.
Game 2: the nuts. Turn 3 combo on the play. Take that tron player.
Game 3: mull to 5 on no lands for days, turn 3 tron karn your land, ugin into ulamog. Good times.
Wound up taking 1st off tie breakers, won a spellskite. Good times. Staticaster is a good card.
I wish I'd read this before, never realized that Kataki is Legendary, so many things to think about when piloting this deck, and Kataki never felt like a legendary creature to me, well mistakes were made

I started testing it a bit last night making the below cuts/adds to the main:
-1 Phantasmal Image
-1 Village Bell-Ringer
+1 Deceiver Exarch
+2 Nahiri, the Harbinger
I got some rounds in against Grixis Midrange (Blue Jund variant) and Jeskai Nahiri. Against Grixis it was great but Jeskai Nahiri is still an absolute pain, especially variants playing 1-2 MD Anger of the Gods. I dislike playing 61 cards MD, I always have and always will but feels necessary if you want to play 2x copies.
Thanks! I wish I had invented the shell.. Tay Jun Hao played it to a top 8 finish at GP Singapore last year and I got hooked on it. I believe he got the shell from Kelvin Chew. Sam Black and Sam Pardee have both done articles/videos on the deck. I've just played thousands of matches with it and have tweaked to my liking over the past year.
Has anyone ever thought of running a full play set of Deceiver Exarch in the deck?
I'd played 3 copies in earlier iterations of the deck, the tempo plays you can put together can be pretty decent however trimming toolbox pieces can be pretty whack. Might be better now with Nahiri.

I wish I'd read this before, never realized that Kataki is Legendary, so many things to think about when piloting this deck, and Kataki never felt like a legendary creature to me, well mistakes were made
I've actually used this to my advantage before.. I was playing against Restore Balance at SCG Cinci last year in the earlier rounds and I had exactly lethal on board with a Kataki swinging for 4 on double exalted triggers. He played Ajani Vengeant and attempted to -2 on Kataki, I had exactly enough mana to chord for 2 into Image copying Kataki and sacking the targeted copy to negate the life gain and win the next turn.
Played some more modern recently, here are
some matches and an overdue list:
Burn:
G1: Won the die roll, chorded for kitchen finks twice & killed him with knight beatdown.
G2: Mull to 5, triple goblin guide start, lose.
G3: Very close game, but cast the same lightning helix 3x off witness and then killed him with knight.
2-1
Grixis Griselbrand:
My nightmare matchup.
G1 he doesnt have a fast hand & bricks pretty hard (rare), so scavenging ooze off Fauna shaman is enough to get me there.
G2 I negated his turn 3 Goryo's vengeance to put Griselbrand into play. I later chorded for witness to get back negate and counter a through the breach Emrakul. When he later passed the turn without doing anything I cocoed into a knight, which I killed him with.
2-0
Grixis Control:
G1 I resolve a turn 2 voice followed by a turn 3 knight. He plays a kalitas, but my knight is a 6/6 at this point so I attack him anyway with exalted.
Knight kills him.
G2: He mulls to 5 & I keep triple voice of resurgence plus lands and path, which gets me there easily.
2-0
Jeskai control:
G1 I am wrathed multiple times by anger and by verdict. At one point I am forced to play a 3/3 knight as I had two in hand, so instead of attacking with it I sac a land, get a fetch and then fetch another land to make it a 5/5.
My board state at this point is voice finks knight hierarch, so he casts anger of the gods. He kills the knight after it has attacked him twice, but it put him under a lot of pressure which allowed me later close the game with another one - mid-game Company into double knight is brutal..
G2 I fulminator him into oblivion and then company multiple times, running him over.
2-0
Infect: 1-2
Killed on turn 2 on the draw both losses & didnt see a path in my mulligans.
Wall of omens is sorely missed here because you dont really want to block glistener elf with fauna shaman. G2 I won with fauna shaman into skite into staticaster.
All in all 4-1 & win on breakers.
Very happy with the current list, barring a noticeably weaker infect MU than I’m used to with a more stock Kiki chord (I’ve since updated my SB to include Melira below).
I have cut Magus of the moon from my current list because there is a high percentage of Grixis and Jeskai in my meta, where that card is not at it's best. Fulminator gets the nod for being good against Tron and Jeskai (It's actually fantastic against Jeskai).
While it's true knight is weak to dedicated graveyard hate (Rest in peace), it depends on what that hate is- the most common answer to Abzan company is Grafdigger's cage, which knight doesnt care about.
I only killed with kiki combo once all night, but that was just the nature of my pairings & my not drawing many chords.
Oh one note for Luda with knight and blood moon effects is that in a game against scapeshift I drew bloodmoon when I had a knight out- I used it to sac a stomping ground, (floating red) to then get a basic and cast that blood moon- Since knight was already a 4/4 at that point and it doesn’t really need to be bigger than that to kill people, the inability to sac more lands was irrelevant and the utility of getting another basic out was actually great. Negate is what got me to that point alive, countering a would-be-lethal scapeshift.
My current list is as follows:
3 Path to Exile
3 Chord of Calling
4 Collected Company
4 Birds of paradise
3 Noble Hierarch
3 Voice of Resurgence
3 Fauna Shaman
1 Scavenging Ooze
1 Spellskite
1 Qasali Pridemage
3 Knight of the reliquary
2 Kitchen Finks
1 Fulminator Mage
3 Eternal Witness
1 Restoration Angel
1 Kiki-Jiki
1 Izzet Staticaster
2 Forest
1 Plains
4 Windswept Heath
4 Wooded Foothills
2 Verdant Catacombs
2 Stomping Ground
1 Temple Garden
1 Horizon Canopy
1 Razorverge Thicket
1 Kessig Wolf-Run
1 Grove of the Burn-willows
1 Breeding Pool
1 Sacred Foundry
I'm still tinkering with the numbers a lot, I like 4 knight and 3 finks but the room is really tight.
Very happy with negate again so far despite reducing creature count.
Hey Luda, what cuts would you consider for 2 Nahiris?

Sam Black and Sam Pardee have both done articles/videos on the deck. I've just played thousands of matches with it and have tweaked to my liking over the past year.
Deceiver has some great interaction with Nahiri, but I sometimes found it too cute, and after playing with Village Bell-Ringer I really enjoy it, no one ever expects him. And also Phantasmal Image is an awesome card that allows some crazy shenanigans.
Maybe the real question is if Nahiri is indeed necessary, although I'd really like to play her, expecially after buying her at a low value, well I do have the problem of getting too attached to some cards xD. But perhaps she fits better in the Hoogland variation. The good thing is that I love to test the deck and definitely need more practice with it.
Thanks to the articles links, it'll help me a lot, even though you didnt invented the shell, you surely deserve some credit Luda.

That's a great interaction and line of play, and not a obvious one for sure. Boy this deck has a steep learning curve, but fortunately that's what attracts me to it. Whenever you remember some crazy and unorthodox play that you can share with us it would be great.
Looking to rebuild my deck, haven't played it since pod got banned. I don't get why a lot of people use engineered explosives as a one of in the sb.
What matchups does it help with and is it worth it as a one of?

Smile your day could be worse, so I did smile and it was worse.
I could use a few pointers. I'm taking this list to the SCG Open in Dallas. It's pretty stock. I've played Pod, Kiki-Company, so I have experience with these toolbox builds but I could use any advice on either cleaning up this list, or just general comments over what to expect from the meta.
Nothing extraordinary. The only real tech is the old standard "pedal to the meddle" silliness. My logic is that when you're forced into attrition matchups, trading with certain creatures can be difficult. Even without Peddler soulbonded with Staticaster, I find myself chording for the Peddler as a double ambush viper move to make better combat trades. Static is decent on its own too. The combo allowed me to cut a 4th Path in favor of the singleton Helix; a move that has proven crucial for moments when I need to tick down a planeswalker, gain some necessary life, or just reach for additional critical damage.
