I’ve played both, I prefer fetchless. You gain a few minor points by playing a more land-dense List (fetching reduces likelihood of drawing lands) and knowing what’s on the bottom of your library. This has been relevant in a handful of games for me.

I'm thinking about adding a Hallowed Fountain in for Wear//Tear when I go to SCG Columbus coming up next month. I just want to have a permanent answer to some janky ***** I can possibly face in the early rounds. I'm just not sure yet since I think I'm going to bring fetchless with 2 Blood Moon in SB. Maybe bring an Echoing Truth instead of wear//tear. I''m not sure yet. I gotta play more MTGO before the event to test
Hi, I'm thinking in buying ur storm to have a different option from my traditional jund and naya burn.
but I do not have scalding tarn, I've got polluted delta and flooded strand.
is it better to play with the fetchless version or use the fetch of khans?
I already have blood moon.

Why play the fetch or fetchless version. I see lot’s of different results on MTGGoldfish lately.
Usually I follow Caleb in the blind, but I need some intell on the choice, next to the ‘you keep your scry’s on the bottem’.

Fetch version:
+ Allows you to play blood moon and don't risk losing to it.
+ Allows the option to play 1 Hallowed Fountain/Watery Grave/Breeding Pool for off-color sideboard tech if you feel it warranted.
+Turns cards sent to the bottom live again (too many times I've cast sleight of hand looking for second land and see land/gifts or land/grapeshot and have to bury somethign I know I'll need later.)
Fetchless version:
+ Tucking cards from scries gives you more exact information about your outs.
+ Plays several more cantrips to churn through more of the deck, raising your odds of seeing your combo pieces.
+ Not constantly fetching saves you life to have 0.5-1 extra turns to go off, and can save minutes on the clock against grindy matches.
Try it each way and decide what works better for you.

Any of you guys play on mtgo? I’ve been encountering so so much hate and bs-maindeck cards against storm that my motivation to play this deck is going below 0.
Deck like titanshift who have Witchbane Orb, or multiple molten rain to board in? Never seen that before.
Value gw decks with postboard Leonin Arbiter, Eidolon and Gaddock Teeg? Like.... never ever to win there.
I've been running a singleton Bolt maindeck (over an Opt) and it has been putting in work. It also feels nice having the full 4 bolts against disruptive creatures and grindy decks.
Has anyone else tried main deck Bolt (or even Echoing Truth)?
What happened to the Wear // Tear - Hallowed Fountain from previous decks?
I suppose that with big mana decks making dominance, that will open the door to faster decks - Affinity - which will open the door to grafdigger's cage.

The MTGO meta is always different than in paper. The hard part is practicing online and trying to get a gauge of the meta before going to a big tourney. Storm is one of, if not the cheapest deck to build in modern, especially if you look for the most ROI, storm is easily the best bang for your buck, so my theory is that people
1. tech in random things to beat storm because of their false preconceived notions on the % meta share Storm has.
2. More people unreasonably hate losing to storm that any other deck because they for some reason think its stupid or some dumb ****
Lastly, it depends on what you play on mtgo. Constructed Open usually sucks, just as the f2p clients such as Xmage and Cockatrice is literally a waste of time. Contructed Open is a lot better than Xmage and Cockatrice, but if you really want to get good practice, get into a tourney that costs tickets/ play points. People are less likely to play dumb cards when money is on the line, and if they do, then they are either losing to non storm decks or its just bad luck on our part
How about using a one-off Mana Seism? This will help if there are no medallion bears in play and you need additional mana. You can Gifts the following cards:
Desperate Ritual
Pyretic Ritual
Mana Seism
Manamorphose
or
Desperate Ritual
Pyretic Ritual
Mana Seism
Noxious Revival

Two things that come to mind. First, Mana seism only makes colorless mana, which we're limited in how we can really use it. Second, that's a really all-in play, and if our opponent has any interaction it kind of leaves us dead.
Witch bane orb from valakut is actually starting to be the move, helps Against Lantern, Burn, and Storm (3 rough MUs)
I'm a little confused. Are you saying we should play Witchbane Orb? Or that Valakut is starting to play it as a counter to storm? It could be interesting, but I'm honestly not sure it'll help as much as you make it sound - especially against burn.

Valakut is playing Witchbane Orb. For them, it comes down t3. That in combination with Obstinate Baloths is plenty fine against Burn, considering Burn normally wouldn’t be bringing Artifact hate against Scapeshift.

1. You have Manamorphose to transform that colorless mana. Colorless mana still helps in flashing back that Past in the Flames in the graveyard and also powering out Gifts Ungiven.
2. Of course you don't go all-in if you think an opponent has an answer.
Pyromancer Ascension isn't used anymore so we don't need to fill the yard like crazy anymore. The deck is better now, with Baral and Opt instead of Thought Scour

I think that Mana Seism is cool, and acts somewhat like Cadaverous Bloom. The problem is that it doesn't produce colored mana, and we dont have something like Natural Balance + Squandered Resources to create a Pros Bloom style deck in Modern

My post above you explains my ideas with the 2 versions
URStormRU
GRTitanshift[mana]RG/mana]
Spirebluff Canal is used in both version and you should get 3 or 4 of them either way.
Steam Vents, need 4 for fetchless, 3 for fetch version.
4x Shivan Reef for fetchless, 0 in fetch version
4 Scalding Tarn in fetch version, no exceptions. (Can run 3 if on budget but i mean its just our best fetch land)
3-4 other fetch lands. Blue as much as possible is best, then 1 or 2 red fetches. So, something like a combination of Flooded Strand/ Polluted Delta, or Misty Rainforest then any red fetches. Imo I like 4 Scalding Tarn and 3 other blue fetch land (Flooded Strand)
Example Landbases
Fetchless:
1 Snow-Covered Island
1 Mountain
4 Shivan Reef
4 Spirebluff Canal
4 Steam Vents
Fetch:
1 Snow-Coverd Island
1 Mountain
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Steam Vents
2 Spirebluff Canal
3 Flooded Strand

There was a deck idea that used Gifts Ungiven, Past in Flames, Mana Seism, Channel the Suns, and Increasing Vengeance. Basically you flashback Increasing Vengeance and use it on Channel the Suns for like 15 mana and you usually kill with Grapeshot + Remand or just Grapeshot + flashbacked Grapeshot. The concept of the deck pretty much is the basis for our deck. It was a really cool idea, but this deck is just more resilient, consistent, and faster.
