I use two wish main. It is very strong and I often don't grab bring to light. Just don't overdo the sideboard with multicoloured cards. Dragon lord dromoka is my main wincon from the side. Good vs control and eldrazi.

could you post you'r current list? Glittering wish looks very interesting, I'm curious what other multicolored cards you have in sideboard.
So I was one match from getting top 16 at the scg regional withe the black bring to light version. After playing against both tron and all the fast decks i realized that not only is the white splash better, but maybe some of the singles in the main board are too weak. The two that were the weakest for me were the single snapcaster and izzet charm. As for snapcaster, I feel like he is a lot better in the white splash, but i'm still doubt full. I will be sad to see maelstrom pulse go though, since that card is a freaking power house. Also i see a lot of people running acid moss main, is it really that good. Criticism is very welcomed.
Mwonvuli Acid-Moss is hit and miss. Vs Tron you'll be thrilled to have it, and vs Infect it's potentially relevant. I've also color-screwed someone who didn't expect Scapeshift to mess with his mana. I'm not convinced that it's the optimal card for the slot, but I can't say what is.
re: Worldly Counsel -- I've been running a split with Anticipate in the 4c BTL build with white. It consistently looks at three cards or more. As someone else commented, it's rarely your turn 2 play.
Out of curiosity, why isn't Gigadrowse discussed more as a sideboard option? It's been an excellent 1-of when I've drawn it and I keep catching myself thinking, "If I rip Gigadrowse, I win." Considering a second copy.
My deck focused on beating affinity and eldrazi. Deck needed to have a much lower curve than it did in the past. Leaks are much better than cryptic and path is awesome. Glittering wish also enables you to hate out decks at a lower cost.
Gonna work on the Wish Scapeshift later but here is another list I have been running with decent results. Took a good amount of the shell from the Wish list. Still figuring out the sideboard but Voidslimes have been great vs many eldrazi.
Orginally I was running Worldly Counsel but had too many games where I could only get 2 cards. So overall I just prefer to have a solid 3 look with Anticipate.
I like the idea of Dragonlord Dromoka, just because I love casting him, though he is too expensive to really be anything but an alternate win-con against control decks (but how often do you see those?) We already have a pretty good game against most non-control decks and control isn't very common so I think we need to look at how to beat the aggressive decks, particularly Eldrazi.
Against Eldrazi I think we need to take an approach similar to something like the Blue Moon deck where we focus on some cheap interaction. The goal isn't to win on turn 4 (that's RG Titanshift), and it's not to control the board (that's Jeksai control). The goal of Scapeshift is to delay the board long enough to resolve a Scapeshift for the win. I feel like tricks with Glittering Wish and building on expensive interaction spells (e.g. Bring to Light, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss) will just mean it's it's harder to make it to that end-game. I think we should be looking for cheaper ways to stall and fog the Eldrazi decks through effects like Anger of the Gods, Gigadrowse, Into the Roil and maybe Supreme Verdict/Damnation.
Hello Guys, I’ve been playing this deck since it’s got unbanned and now that we downgraded as a Tier 03 deck, I think It’s time to get our sh*t together and fight back to the top. In order to do that, I’m gonna share the list I’ve a lot of success with in the last GP (17th place).
First of all, I want to, once again, discuss my thoughts on RUG x BtL Scapeshift. My points in favor on RUG are the following:
RUG has a very consistent mana base, so we don't get mana screwed that often
RUG SB cards are more than enough to battle against any deck.
RUG is better against Aggro since it is faster and more interactive in instant speed
RUG is better against Combo for the same reason its better for Aggro.
RUG is better against Control since a 04 cmc spell is WAY easier to resolve than a 05 cmc spell. So it gets better in counter wars.
RUG is WORSE against Midrange than BtL. However, we do have a favourable match against them, so being better or worse than BtL doesn’t actually matter, while we have the ability to slow them down and combo.
Therefore, I’ve never seen a great benefit in adding a 4th color and a clunkier card to the deck, resulting in a very different 75.
SIDEBOARD TECH

I'm also leaning towards RUG, for reasons I've mentioned in the past. It has the tools to interact with the strong linear decks we're seeing now, and honestly I felt like the bullet plan wasn't working out great anyway because having to tap 5 mana at sorcery speed meant the effect had to be HUGE to make a difference.
I think there was a time not long ago when midrange was all over the place, mostly Tron, Jund and Abzan, and the BtL plan worked great there. However, I don't think it works very well right now and I'm leaning towards RUG.
Two questions:
Why Serum Visions over the other search spells? With all the search effects we have I think the consensus has been that Serum Visions is one of the worst because you often can't afford to set up a draw with an Elder out SfT suspended.
Thoughts on the Eldrazi menace? For the foreseeable future that will be the deck to beat.

01- There's a big difference between the usual RUG/BtL decks and mine. And the difference is that I have 04 Snapcaster Mage. I think he adds flexibility to the list, and he is an awesome addition when you have 4 visions, 4 bolts and 4 remands (snap + cryptic is also great in gaining tempo). Moreover, the serum visions is very good in setting up drawsteps despiste of the shuffling effects. You are either using it on turn 01 to draw more lands when needed or at the turn 3,4 in order to find scapeshift/interaction while holding cryptic/remands. I know that in theory Anticipate sounds better. I tested, and usually 02 mana (even in instant speed) is somethimes too slow for a cantrip. Also you ALWAYS KNOW when you're supposed to shuffle or not your deck, so serum visions drawback can be easily managed.
02- Eldrazi decks, oh boy I think we have a slightly favourable matchup. My plan consists on bringing 02 Crumble/ 01 Ancient Grudge (chalice) and take 1 Bolts/2 Snapcaster out. We should basically delay them the most with bolts, remands, crumble and cryptics. They are an aggro deck and they dont have a major plan against our lands or spells. So as long as we are alive... It's all good.
My biggest advice is: TEST MY LIST ! You will not regret it.

I'll definitely give a list like yours a try this week. I love playing 4 Snapcaster Mage. I also thought about it a lot and the fact that Serum Visions only costs 1 is great. It gives the deck something proactive to do on turn 1, where in the past it was just Search For Tomorrow.

- I just noticed your sideboard in your list a few posts ago is only 13 cards. I assume it's 2 Crumble to Dust that are missing.
Serum Visions is great! Good luck on trying the deck. I'd be happy to see your thoughts on it.
Indeed, I forgot adding the 02 Crumble there. Thanks.
I am a transplanted twin player who has been lurking over here since the ban for a list to catch my eye. Mextremartinis list certainly has and will be what I build first. As far as the resolved Blood Moon question, having a full playset of snaps and bolts is definitely an alternate wincon. I do have a question though, I'm sure its been discussed but going through 100+ pages to find it isnt my idea of fun- does anyone run Keranos out of the board? Besides being one of my favorite cards he seems like a good card in a Blood Moon meta.
I was originally told Serum Visions was a card Scapeshift did not want. I feel like this deck wants to dig farther. But after reading more I will be testing out a list with the Visions. I am more of a RUG player who is starting to test the BtL versions to see if I like them. Here is the list with Serum Visions I will be testing
I used to run 3-4 Peer Through Depths. But I have found that not being able to grab a much needed Land, Snap or Steve is very unfortunate.
So I have an idea. I am considering running 1x Swamp and 4x Worldly Counsel; and zero Bring to Light. It seems too cute but I may be interested in this. At worst Worldly Counsel has always been an Anticipate. And I like knowing that I do not have to reveal like I do with Peer Through Depths. Casting an Impulse seems great. And with this black splash you should never feel like you have to force it.

Very happy to see that you liked the list. I played UR twin for a while and it does fit the play-style. Tell me what you think after testing..
Regarding Blue Moon: We are always favourite in the "control mirror". We are basically a control deck with a very efficient finisher. So while they're slow and we can remand/izzet charm their main spells. Electrolyze/Bolt buy us almost infinite time to bounce Blood Moon before comboing out. Just fetch for basic island (we have 4) and you shall win long term.
PS: Blood Moon shouldn't be feared, it gets easily bounced. Choke is the pain in the ass. Fuc*ing hate that card.
Regarding Keranos: As I previously said, Scapeshift provide us a very good end-game plan. It is very hard to attack our lands in a way that we cant win, so scapeshift is the safest and fastest way to go. Alternatively, It's just better going with snapcasters beats. I love how versatile it is.
PS2: Obstinate Baloths, usually,is a road-blocker, life gainer beast. I've won countless games where baloth were beating to death and I drew Scapeshift for the win. It's just the way to go.
I'm currently testing a single Lumbering Falls in my list as a potential alternate win-con. I just need to evaluate how much it hurts the mana base to have it there.
The baloths are also definitely a card that you can bring in for an alternate win con. Otherwise Keranos, Surak, Inferno Titan, they all make good alternate finishers, particularly if there is some significant danger to the combo. Try out the control match-up a few times and I think you'll find that Dispel and Negate are the power cards there.
Any thoughts on running Koth of the Hammer? Untap a mountain its a 4/4 creature you can swing with or tap for mana, and his -5 isn't too hard to reach for some extra damage. He was pretty good in the old Titan Valakut combo back when the deck was playable in standard.
I finally got back to my LGS (ChannelFireball) for FNM. I was surprised by how few aggro decks where there. I was playing a RUGw list, for the Surpreme Verdict and Timely Reinforcements, since I was expecting a lot of aggro and I only had three Scapeshifts this week due to loaning one out.
I felt like a lot of people had shifted their decks to have more control elements as Twin was gone and those players were looking for a new psudo-control deck, and I think everyone was afraid of Eldrazi. Out of 30ish people I only saw two Eldrazi decks, and one was more of an old-style BW processor deck. This meant that it was a great field for Scapeshift!
I ended up playing against:
Infect (2-1): I was able to get a few good 2-for-1s off with Anger of the Gods. I only lost the second game because I kept a greedy hand with Electrolyze, Izzet Charm and Bring to Light, but no ramp and no blue source. I figured I could draw one since I was on the draw and had mulliganed so I had a scry. I never did. I think the pilot wasn't particularly good with the deck and made a lot of mistakes.
UWR Kiki Control (2-1): A classic counter war. The first game I got in 8 damage with a single Steve. We joked about the beat down, but it stopped being a joke in game 3 when I beat him down with Obstinate Balloths. He Vendilion Cliqued me during my draw step and saw a Baloth and Bring to Light in my hand. He took the Balloth since I had four mana out, but I just played a land and since he was tapped out I used the Bring to Light to just grab the Balloth right off the bottom. He didn't even bother to cut since I didn't have to look at my deck.
Esper Gifts (2-0): Scapeshift has more counter magic and a more efficient combo. The first game I won on Turn 4 with a Search for Tomorrow, Steve and Farseek. I was able to remand his turn 4 gifts which meant he tapped out to cast it on his turn which is why I was able to go off safely. I felt bad letting him go through all the motions of picking his package when I was just going to kill him.
UWR Geist (ID).
I'll be trying pure RUG once I get my fourth Scapeshift back.
I have been playing RUG scapeshift for awhile, and I happened to come across Overwhleming Denial. Does anyone think this has playabiliy out of the board against control?
I know we already have a good match up but this scenario keeps rolling through my head:
Cast scapeshift, they play a countet, play Overwhleming Denial for surge cost, GG
Seems like it can be better than Counterflux at times.

I think we should be looking for cheaper ways to stall and fog the Eldrazi decks through effects like Anger of the Gods, Gigadrowse, Into the Roil and maybe Supreme Verdict/Damnation.
Would any other delay tactics work, like Hornet Nest or Arachnogenesis? I'll keep testing Roast for now.

First of all, I want to, once again, discuss my thoughts on RUG x BtL Scapeshift. My points in favor on RUG are the following:

RUG SB cards are more than enough to battle against any deck.

SIDEBOARD TECH
My way of playing always focused in maintaining consistency. That’s the name of the game. So I am not a huge fan of silver bullets and such. My main sideboard strategy consists in increasing the likelihood of something useful and flexible.
So, that’s the main plan:
AGGRO: 3 Anger/3 Baloth , 4 Remand/1 Search/ 1 Visions
COMBO/CONTROL: 2 Dispel/ 2 Negate , 4 Lightning Bolt
MIDRANGE: 3 Baloth/1 Explosives , 1 Search/1 Scapeshift/2 Izzet Charm
There are plenty variation in it. But I guess you can understand the idea from here. I can do a SB guide in the future if needed.
- Hope this helped you to RE-THINK this beautiful deck. Cheers -
Yes, let's do it!
