So....whats the plan vs Jund-DeathShadow
Im having a really hard time - that deck is way too fast. With Command it does not even die to Chalice
Is maindeck RatchetBomb maybe worth it there?
Maybe main deck Spellskite is possible again. A few lists ran it not too long ago. Could a little life gain help as well. Filigree Familiar? Gets you a card on its death too.
Also…
For those who like to run Mind Stone. I've got an off the wall idea for that slot. What would you think about Foundry Inspector? One more mana. Doesn't ramp Eldrazi but does ramp artifacts. 1 mana discount on Ballista, Batterskull, Chalice (and itself). A "free" Map or Collar. Gives you a little more board presence so there isn't as much of a tempo and pressure loss. Doesn't need to be tapped for the mana reduction. And Stony Silence doesn't shut it down. Just a thought for that slot.
I'd suggest Palladium Myr but I gave up on it a long time ago.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

What do we have to kill stony when it is first in play? other than All is Dust :)Not many play stony, but with 10 artifacts main and a lot artifacts in sb, it is a good card vs our deck.
Stony Silence is inconvenient, but it's not a deck killer against us. Unlike other Tron variants, you can ignore it and just play and pressure with your creatures.
Sometimes the creatures get countered, and with 9-10 artifacts in the main deck (4 map, 4 balista, 1-2 collar) (more if you play mind stone, and even more after sb :P), stony can be apain in the ass .. and sometimes you just draw them instead of the good creatures.. Not often, but it happens
I dont care about blood moon. Have never been afraid of it in the year I have played this deck.
That's true Hydro, but if that happens aren't you losing anyway...Stony Silence or not?
I wont't say that.
Relic draw a card it you get it on a bad time, mind stone the same. Ratchet bomb can kill a lot of stuff, balista are just good
Stony shots all that down Maybe I should play 3 all is dust main
So, under your scenario your oppo has Stony Silence AND countered all your threats and you aren't losing? I admire your never-say-die attitude pal. ;-)
To be fair, I run Uin PW, 2 Karns and 2 AiD in the Main so I"m not that stressed about SS anyway. I still think I'd rather be boarding to counter my oppo's deck strategy than worrying about his SB cards, but that's just me.

Some people like to win MtG matches in the Red Zone. I prefer to win the way God intended: on the stack.
I've got Crucible in my SB for this reason. Land hate for Tron is high in my meta.
The only issue is after the land is in my graveyard they usually use Surgical Extraction and I'm screwed. How can we beat Surgical?
Relic, targeting yourself, after Surgical is on the stack. Pithing Needle to turn of Ghost Quarters, Fulminators, etc.
You can also use your own Surgicals to counter theirs. Just target the card that they target in response, and exile that one but you don't have to exile any other cards from your library or your hand.
I'm not sure I understand the fear of losing Tron. Our deck is a "big mana" deck in that it uses Tron/E. Temples to get powerful cards into play faster than would otherwise be possible. Then from the midgame onwards we can play multiple expensive threat cards. If you lose Tron to a SE then don't you just rely more on your Temples?
The only time I'd rally worry about it is if my oppo is playing the same deck and has 4 Surgicals and 4 GQs. Then I could see us going back and forth screwing with the other guy's mana development and hoping to be the first to land a threat. Death and Taxes might try something like that and the new GW Company deck could pull it off, but that guy is unlikely to board that way against us.
Finally, if my oppo GQ's my tron land then goes for SE on it, I'm not sure I'd protect my Tron lands in deck over taking out his GQ's and protecting my Temples. I guess it could be correct, if you have a land light draw and don't want to let him thin your deck of lands...You could also go for his SE's. Or, if you've killed something with Dismember (Knight of the Reliquary? 'Goyf?) then maybe you eliminate his threat cards. Lots to think about so don't let a knee jerk reaction to protect the precious Tron cost you the game.

Caved and finally added Walking Ballista to my MB, It's just such a useful card.
I pulled two Conduit of Ruin which I wasn't finding too great anyhow and 1 Karn (leaving me with 3 still).
I'll play a couple games later this week to see how it works out.

Manturras, I agree that a light green splash for Ancient Stirrings is worth considering. When I tested it Online, it seemed to go pretty well. But, when I brought it up in this thread, I was blasted because "this is for colorless only". So, I will refrain from commenting further :-P
Why kind of hands do you all keep with this deck? Our creatures all start at 3 mana, so here are the hands I deem keep-able:
1) Natural Tron
2) 2 different Tron pieces plus Map
3) Temple + Reshaper/TKS
4) Temple + Temple + just about anything
5) Mind Stone + Reshaper/TKS
6) Ballista + Reshaper + TKS (2-drop, 3-drop, 4-drop)
Unless my hands fall into one of these categories, I feel like I just don't do anything until turn 4, which is way too slow.
With that in mind, I really LOVE having Mind Stone in the deck to provide a lot more keep-able hands.
What is your criteria for keeping a hand game 1 against an unknown opponent?
Been following this forum, thanks for all the ideas i get from all.
Again this talk, but is anyone still testing a light green splash?
I'm still only managed to test few games online, but the ability for ancient stirrings to fetch any threat is amazing. switched the chalices for 4 spheres, they're better late game and the mana fixing is easy. In some games there's no need for the green, so all works like regular Eldra Tron, in other games the splash grants victory out of nowhere.
I'm not trying to switch many cards, since i really hate playing regular GB or RG Tron, so here's my list:
My list also plays 3 ancient stirrings, Having access to the best cantrip in modern is awesome although I think 4 is too many. I don't play any chromatic sphere because we want to stay aggressive and those 4 slots should be used for more gas. I play 3 karplusan forest and 1 basic forest. karplusan forest allows us to play kozilek's return which hoses affinity and elves which helps a lot in addition to walking ballista. Also I dont think we wanna be on world breaker. Karn is just better.

How do you reliably cast Ancient Stirrings with only 4 sources of green in your entire deck?
Alot of post were deleted and the name of the thread changed because splashing was mentioned.
Can we gear the conversion back to colourless only?
Yeah, can we please all collectively put our fingers in our ears and shout Nyah-nyah-nyah rather than hear an idea that SLIGHTLY changes our perception of the deck without changing the core strategy and maybe, just maybe, might, perhaps, possibly, make the deck better at doing what we already want to do? And while we're at it, let's all watch Fox news so we only get opinions we already agree with...

G splash may need to be addressed in another thread, especially if it gets into RG splash. I wish we had a G splash sub thread to this one to discuss just those builds.
My concerns are what have already been stated. How can you splash 4 or 5 G spells with only 4 sources of G in the deck (maybe 6 total sources with Chromatic Sphere)? There are going to be hands where you are sitting on a World Breaker and a Stirrings and a hand full of Tron Lands or <> lands. That is bad news.
I have been dying to use World Breaker with Conduit of Ruin in my list. 1 Ulamog and 1 Breaker with 2 Conduits seems good for my list. I would want 3 or 4 Stirrings then. At 4 or 5 spells with a requirement of G mana I am going to have to heavily rework my mana base or pull all 4 Chalice for 4 Spheres. Reliably casting Stirrings is going to take a major revamp of the Colorless EldraziTron mana base or alter it with a bunch of Eggs. I say if you want to do it fine. I just think we need a sub-thread for it.

What I don't get is why people want to force-discuss their non-proven variation of a proven deck in the proven deck thread. Especially when the people in such thread don't want that discussion there. Discussions regarding the benefits of not playing delver do not make sense in a delver thread. Discussions regarding the benefits of playing green in a colorless deck thread are out of place, especially when there is a "G/x Tron" thread in these forums. That discussion belongs there, talk to the Green tron players about the benefit of playing Eldrazi creatures and dropping the planeswalker control route, not to the people that have explicitly chosen to play colorless about the benefits of splashing a color. If even they don't want to have that discussion, then create a thread for it because it is a different deck. Color identity does change things.
My 2 cents on the subject.

Between 4 expedition mapand ghost quarter + people using path to exile on our creatures I cast it reliably. Now that being said I only play 3 and its not like my game plan is to durdle which is why I don't like chromatic sphere / star. Playing more than 3 green cards in this deck is not good. I agree that playing star / sphere in this deck is wrong but if people want to experiment let them. People should feel free to innovate.

I agree that 5 green spells is far too many and playing star/ sphere is not good. Im also not a fan of World breaker. In my experience 3 ancient stirrings is the sweet spot. My draws may just be really good but stirrings has been really good for me. Its literally the best cantrip in the entire format and continues to work.
I'm coming from playing Gx Tron for the past 3 years and want to give Eldrazi Tron a shot now and my 2nd Tron deck (have Tron pieces and Karns for a 2nd deck so why not)
As for SB, check out what many are posting up and then decide what is best for your meta. You will want some combo of Pithing Needle, Ratchet Bombs, Surgical Extraction and Relics, everything else is "flavor to taste".

Don't worry, I'm not going to run that list I posted. I wish I could just flat swap Breaker for Deceiver of Form and call it a day. A 7 cmc Eldrazi is VERY relevant in a list that runs Conduit of Ruin as you cannot always just rip Ulamog and cast it. Again I feel a lot of people are missing the boat on Conduit into Ulamog. Ulamog finishes games. Turn 3 Conduit into turn 4 Ulamog is backbreaking. And yes I've done it several games. Conduit into Deceiver of Form isn't that great, but just acceptable due to its Scry 1 effect. Conduit into Breaker killing a land or artifact, with reach can be far more punitive and protective than Deceiver. I'm just about to switch over to Platinum Angel or Sundering Titan in place of Deceiver. Guess I need to test them.

I agree, that a lot of people are definitely missing out by not playing Conduit of ruin. Conduit into Ulamog is usually a game ender and getting Platinum Angel wins you games that you wouldn't otherwise win. Angel is solid and requires an answer. It's extremely satisfying to play it against burn or elves or zoo, the look on people's face when you cast it is worth it alone lol. Also I still suggest tomb of the Spirit Dragon as a means of life gain, It gives you more options in combat and helps offset the life loss from dismember.

I'll have to test it just for "the look".
I'm hoping more will play Conduit and find out for themselves. Its not better than Endbringer in a vacuum, 1 on 1, but its better in tandem with Ulamog or another Titan/Angel. I hope more people give it a try. The 2 mana discount is a real thing too. Using Mind Stones for just one mana seems silly to me. Oh well, to each their own.

To me, the deck is all about getting into the board early and being able to function of you don't have Tron. Mind Stone helps with turn 3 TKS or Smasher. Conduit is great if you have Tron but seems weak if you don't. Just my thoughts. I don't run Ulamog, preferring the cheaper Karn for my exiling needs. If I did run Ulamog, I'd test Conduit per your suggestion.

First off, welcome to the fold.

Can you update on what you sided in against your burn (and shadow) matchup?
Thanks!
Eldrazi and Taxes (under construction)
Modern: Eldrazi Tron (All sanctioned events; Record: 38-9-2 over ~12 Wed/Fri Night Modern events: 78% match win rate; last updated 9.13.17)

Naya Burn (20-6-2 over multiple 1K and FNM events; retired)
Building: Esper control and a mill deck for fun and some variety.
I am also interested in this!
