Now..I played devotion a looooooong time, and the hardest matches I had (and often lost) were the ones where the opponent targeted my mana dorks, slowing my ramp down, giving him the time to set up his board.
Cards like these (again together with bolts and such) will simply wreck my opening...and destroy a good hand I kept with maybe 2 dorks for a T3 combo out, or big guy, leaving me with like....2-3 mana, a 6-cmc in hand and nothing on the board
So, I ask you...is my view on the current situation correct? Or maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel I'm not seeing?
Oh, and making a devotion with enchantments could be a good idea but...the problem of mana dorks still remain, and if we rely too much on enchantments I can see game 2 and 3 with the opponent doing target practice with us....kill dork, kill enchant, kill dork, kill enchant

Ya I realized recently darts can be a serious issue, I was running a list with too many 1cc mana dorks and Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast to combo into emrakul. I realize i need my 3cc and 4cc creatures to midrange through those match ups that bring a lot of bolt and ping
I am still looking for ways to play emrakul in my lists
it might be a good meta to dust off and use those steel leaf champions as that lets you walk right over monastery swiftspear and dragon channeler.
maybe wall of blossoms too
I wanted to let everyone here know that we have been having a discussion on Discord as well. If anyone would like an invite; please feel free to request.
Our recent discussion has been about post-MH2 builds and the new man-land from forgotten realms being an addition to the deck.
There is! I'll get everyone a link that wants one.
And yes...I have been playing a more low to the ground, "stompy-ish" version of devotion lately. VERY different from actual Stompy (no +1/+1 counter synergies, etc.) but does get to utilize Devotion (which is important to me).
Unholy Heat really makes it difficult on us. Now that all red decks have a 1-drop answer to pretty much every permanent we want to cast up to 6-MV; it makes it extremely difficult to play a 5-MV planeswalker. I did play a Superfriends deck with Carth the Lion for some time; but between Wrenn and Six/early Heats taking out mana dorks and late Heat's taking out walkers...it makes it difficult to play a curve (at least one focusing on permanents) past 3-MV.
I'm going to try some leagues and I'll let you know how my current lists are doing. I'd love to hear how others are doing with Green Devotion.
I've been a bit away from magic recently, you know...the world going to hell and such
Now trying to get back and reading recent tournaments results.....I saw no kind of devotion/ramp deck in any top-something.
Checking top decks I found that most of them pack 4x of card like
Fire//Ice
Lava Dart
together with the usual bolts and crap like that.

If yoriom and omnath are in the same deck... the deck must Be competitive
