Silhana Wayfinder
1G
Creature - Elf Scout
When Silhana Wayfinder enters the battlefield, look at the top 4 cards of your library. You may reveal a creature or land card and put it on top of your library. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
Now this is a sweet card. Actually competes with Visionary at the 2 drop slot.
It's kind of weak to JaceTMS, and Thoughtscour keep in mind.
I actually totally agree with you. I may try this out (as I am REALLY a fan of 2-drops). Pairs really well with Domri Rade and Courser as well (which I've been playing for a few months).
Also pairs well with the Simic Nissa...we have enough now to really take advantage of the top of the deck.
Yeah! It's pretty good with Courser, and it can works well in the Simic deck with Nissa and Mul Daya Channelers.
I'm not impressed with the new Domri. There are much better Walkers.

I think the Wayfinder is way below Modern power level unfortunately. Satyr Wayfinder isn't played at all, and he's almost strictly better than the new one.
I do like Domri though. I see him as a sick stepping stone into the 6CMC slot... imagine rioting an Inferno or Primeval Titan on Turn 4? That sounds sick to me. Not sure if he fits so much into straight Devotion, but definitely in an Arbor Elf ramp shell for sure. I will be trying him out no doubt.
I'm the same opinion as Gruul_me_harder. Domri is a very balanced Walker. Riot (aka Haste-enable) is very nice and in a empty board he can search for friends.
But Domri isn't a very social Walker and is a bad choice in a superfriends Devotion Deck.
Silhana Wayfinder isn't strong enough for modern imo. There far better choices to do that.
Galloping Lizrog got my attention. Something that can double counters can be very broken. I'm looking for Counters Matters Devotion again. Even Simic Ascendancy is now something that can be working --> Bioshift.

"Pumbaa presents...a Squadron of Watchcrabs"
Looks like we got a strong sideboatd card! The 2-C2C Grull Enchantment looks strong! I think ir is translated to Cinder Vines May even help against KCI.
I will post when it is translated to English version.
______
P.S. Domri is NOT a Superfriends cards...you are right. Way to concerned with creatures. He has been good, however, in my recent midrange-Control builds (with Acidic Slime, Ruric Thars, Scooge, Other Domri, Ballista, etc. just really well rounded for 4-cmc. And the 6-loyalty has been a very valuable tool as well. Obviously will take far more testing; but so far the first impression has been good.
Yeah, Cindervines is nice addition to the G/R arsenal.

I honestly thought that the Galloping Lizrog could be a top end to a +1/+1 counter devotion deck. It would get out of hand big quickly. I'd love to hear more about your deck. Just the combo of it, a bunch of tiny creatures, 4 copies of Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Lizrog is a great start!
Then there is the below card...What do we think of this? I am excited to hear about the +1 counter brew :). Probably a tough hoop to jump through (when you can play Devoted Druid, etc.); but cool nonetheless.
There are so many fun brews that can be made in Devotion (although only a few are viable). I'm so tempted to built a Grull Devotion deck with the new Domri and Primalcrux just because I love Primalcrux (old school devotion :)... I am having trouble determining where the "cut off" should be on the Primer (as many lists makes the Primer huge) but I am trying to put them in their own section with dropboxes.
______
And here is the green Mythic. This one may have a shot for grindy match ups (seems super slow but would snowball)...I play Acidic Slime and Scavenging Ooze already...may have to try this out just for fun. It "feels" too slow; but may be one of those "have to try it to really get a feel for it..." cards. I love that it is a mana sink and gets out of hand within a few turns...but 5-CMC gets into some pretty good cards. I do wonder if Wolfbriar Elemental is just better (but a mana sink is a very different think from a kicker card....). Likely too slow; but Interesting nonetheless.
Would make for a fun tribal deck with Experiment One, Scavenging Ooze, Chameleon Colossus, and Acidic Slime. Lots of value and mana sinks!
Yeah, Cindervines is nice addition to the G/R arsenal.
Totally agree. I will be trying it in the board immediately.
________
All in all this far i think we’ve got some fun cards to brew with; but no “Devotion Staples” in this set. One potential sideboard option and one Value Walker in Creature heavy decks...don’t see anything crazy.
I’m kind of interested in potentially playing Domri, Chaos Bringer into Primeval Titan (in Christmasland I would play Primalcrux...which I of course will test ) a la Amulet decks...not sure exactly why. Just seems powerful.
I also like a 1-of Fauna Shaman potentially in a Domri deck (as a late game one with haste is good). I’ll try out a Domri deck later. He seems good with Doubling Season of course (hits and “ultimates” while staying with 2 loyalty...and then every end step from there on you’re making 2x 4/4 trample tokens)...the only issue is he is so Creature-centric that there is a strain playing a traditional Doubling Walkers style deck.
A Gifts Devotion List. Nice! My own take, was to overload with other cards that slowing the Deck to much out. This much more streamlined version, could be worked much better. Most important parts i'm seeing,
Mystic Snake + Summoner's Pact are both "instant". A real nice surprise disrupt and virtually 5x Snakes. Don't know if it helped to protect your combo.
And a tip that i got in my mind: Jadelight Ranger . Land Draw, dig your deck and send cards to graveyard if you want. Growth Spiral is a Coiling Oracle on a stick.
Reanimating Craterhoof is a cool idea. The Gifts decks we've seen before were decent. I don't like your card choices though. Joraga is bad in Modern, there's too much removal for that card to be good. I'm not sure about Lotus Cobra. I feel like Courser is too good to not have in the deck. Also, not sure why you're playing those mana dorks over Noble Hierarch, I assume for budget reasons.
Summoner's Pact + Mystic Snake is a nice trick that I've enjoyed having access to in Temur Devotion. I also like that it's played alongside Gifts.

Nope. CurdBro is still working on the new Primer. He writing his progress from time to time. And ignore at best his own deadlines .
I believe he is close to finish his project.
Posting shortly today. A few of the pictures were large and kinda got “cut off” on the screen. The didnt look that large when i copies the from google images....I’m not great with this stuff; so it takes me time to fix it (and by that I mean find someone who knows how to fix it ). It only takes up half the page now; so that’s more fine for me
P.S. you are right. I mentioned this a few pages back; Ruric Thar is really good right now. I’ve found the “package” of :
Acidic Slime
Ruric Thar
Walking Ballista (and Polukranos)
Scavenging Ooze
Is a great interaction-package for us. Allows us time to go over the top if we don’t get the nut draw. I prefer to have at least 2 of each (save Polukranos) and 3 of some in my 75.
Domri into Prime-Time is much like a Through the Breach for us...I’m quite liking the new Domri. Giving things haste is absolutely bonkers; and he draws a lot of cards. The 4-CMC is the only reason he works so well m; so thank you WOTC
Small list updates:
- switched out Fauna Shaman for a 1-of Tireless Tracker. Just a great card with interaction with Primeval Titan.
- could make that Tireless Tracker a Courser of Kruphix (and maybe turn Domri or one Elvish Visionarybinto a Courser to get two in the list). I agree that every list should start with Courser in it. A few of my lists weren’t great at 3-CMC; so Courser isn’t a great fit; but in 90% of situations Courser is far and away the best 3-drop choice.
Maybe not for everyone...but for the decks I play (especially with Genesis Hydra), I like it! 4-CMC is a sweet spot.
Does a lot of what like. Not sure it is great for everyone; but interesting nonetheless.
Also pairs well with the Simic Nissa...we have enough now to really take advantage of the top of the deck.
I'm not impressed with the new Domri. There are much better Walkers.

I’m also testing more today and will provide a detailed testing/list analysis this weekend. This will include cards like Cindervines.
