I ran into a ton of bolt decks recently (and humans). I was playing the scg T8 list from a couple months back with nissa, voice. The problem was getting stuck at 4-5 mana and drawing birds and BTE. Or casting something big just to have it reflector maged. I moved into a BBE SLC and already getting better results. Able to win the game off the backs of not craterhoof or primetime.

So I think the Constrictor Devotion list is very good. Still need to test more to confirm if this is one of the best lists. You guys should test it. With Constrictor, you have 4 more cards that allow for super explosive starts, while not sacrificing much to include it.
Nissa and Ballista become absurd in the deck. Nissa's -2 ability is almost like Garruk's ultimate.
Again, the printing of Damping Sphere definitely hurt Devotion strats. This deck can have some explosive starts with just Snake and a few random spells, so it minimizes Damping SPhere's effect slightly, which is a nice plus.

Your list is good, but I'm not convinced yet that it's the best list. I'm testing your list but I removed the Strangleroot Geist. I added a maindeck Scooze which is a much better card and a Hornet Queen to replace them. I'd probably play Elvish Visionary over Geist as well.
Why do you have a single copy of BBE in the sideboard? Just for some extra value and a spell that's good vs. control?
If Fulminator is just there to beat Tron, you might as well just play Crumble to Dust. It's much better in this deck vs. Tron.
What is Harsh Mentor for mainly, besides Vizier combo? Why Cunning Sparkmage?
Besides that, I like most of the card choices. I'm a huge fan of Fauna Shaman, and Bellower obviously makes sense in a CoCo deck.

There's got to be some sort of All-In Greatwurm Devotion build out there. Dorks, 4xBTE, 4x Nissa VoZ, and some convoke fodder (visionary, etc, but also maybe nest invader? beastcaller savant?)
Or you could do something really stupid... On the draw, hand is Nykthos, 2x Simian Spirit Guide, 4x BTE, and the Wurm. Exile mana monkeys to start a BTE chain, then nykthos for 8 and convoke your way to turn 1 16/16.
Not sure any of this is good, or that Greatwurm is better than our existing top ends, but it seems like fun at least.
How is your humans matchup? How is your u/w control matchup?

- Added Gaddock Teeg, because it's a great hate card and very good atm.
- Added Walking Ballista, because it is so much better than Cunning Sparkmage, especially in a big mana deck.
- Removed 2 Fulminator mage for two Crumble. This card is much better vs. Tron and Scapeshift. I still left in one Fulminator mage to tutor for and rebuy with Witness.
- Removed BBE from SD because it's not much of a hate card, and decks need hate cards in the sideboard.
- Swapped the Bolts of Abrades. Abrade is a much better sideboard card.
- Removed Harsh Mentor; this card is just not good enough. It's only good vs. Vizier combo
- Added Qasali Pridemage maindeck instead of Rec Sage. It gives you a reliable, repeatable effect with Witness. It's also just a better card, that should be played in G/W decks.
It's true this deck is a bit light on creatures for CoCO, my list only has 1 less target than yours, but it's not too light. Hornet Queen is one of the best payoff cards in traditional Garruk Devotion decks, not only because it controls the bf, and creates 5 flying things to deal with, but it turns Garruk's ulti into a lethal attack most of the time. In this deck it's a lot worse because it CAN'T do that, so I might try to find a replacement if I can afford to. Hornet Nest is a thought. Maybe it should just be moved to the sideboard.
I haven't played against Humans yet, but the matchup just seems so ***** without Hornet Queen. Hard for me to believe you are 4-0 vs. humans.
LEGACY: Soldier Stompy WW // Blue Stompy UU // Fit Variants BGRW // Sol Land Brews BGRUWC MODERN: Pure Pili-ness GU // Red Devotion RR // Green Devotion Variants GRWUG // U/G Emerge CGU // Lots and Lots of Brews BGRUWC
So I've wanted to make flash devotion a thing for a while now, and I finally made a decent list, and I'm having a blast playing it. Blue tempo decks are possibly my favorite decks in magic, and flash is one of the strongest mechanics in the game. It seemed very hard to turn green devotion into a reactionary deck, as it's main gameplan is to be as proactive as possible as quickly as possible.
For some reason, I didn't include Huntmaster in my other prototype, probably because it doesn't have flash in the text, but Huntmaster is what brought the deck together. As I've said before, Huntmaster is insane with blue cards, and if you think it's a R/G card, you're wrong. WOTC has fooled you. The card is Temur, never try to play it any other way. It's insane with counterspells and even better when you add instant speed cantrips and snapcaster into the mix, because you can transform him almost every turn. While I can't play Opts and Snappy, it's still good enough in this deck with Mystic Snake.
So while this might not be the most competitive version of Green Devotion (at least not yet ), it definitely has its advantages. It's certainly not weak, and it's super fun to play. I've just been testing it today, and winning a lot, but I need to test it more before I can confirm how competitive it really is.
If you want to have a lot of fun playing sweet green cards, give this one a shot.

Congrats! a 5-0 is something to be quite proud of. And to be noted on Wizards site is no small thing. Well done indeed. Keeping Devotion in the minds of all of those that look up 5-0's!
______
So I've been working on a Blue-Version of this deck as well (as I love JTMS and LOVE Simic Nissa (but she works really poorly with Wave); but I've been playing this version for some time now. For many on here; you will notice it is just an updated list of my "traditional" Walker Devotion Combo deck. I have literally played with this idea for years. I have just found that the deck has been in a good place right now:
All of these are great cards that work well with Cloudstone Curio.
I know it seems odd to play a "Big Mana" deck with no cards above 5-CMC; but there are:
(a) Mana-sinks (Wave, Polukranos, Tireless Tracker clue's, Horizon Canopy, etc.)
(b) Cloudstone Curio which essentially makes all permanents with ETB effects "effective mana-sinks".
I have preferred Wolfbriar Elemental and Jadelight Ranger (only because this deck isn't as built toward BBE as most and it cam hit 1-drops and Wave which is no fun. Jadelight Ranger has been quite interesting at times (as having the ability to put things into the graveyard for recursion with Nissa, Vital Force or Eternal Witness has come up. Despite al of this, Tireless Tracker is really strong with Genesis Wave...so there is just as good a chance that the third Tracker stays. There are many times where his clues are what allow you to draw into the cards needed to complete the combo (or to simply go into another Wave).
Curdbros, have you tested Garruk, Apex Predator in your walker list? He's on the high side, and you need to have Birds or Oath of Nissa to cast him, but he'll eat opposing creatures really well, and deals with opposing Planeswalkers efficiently. I've been wanting to try him in my SB but I don't think I can make room for him right now.
I haven't. I tend to play Karn Liberated when I add such a card to the deck (I've played it a LOT just wasn't certain it was necessary here Would not be bad by any means. Having said this, I do like the Apex Predator can add tokens when it is not needed for removal.
@Curdbros
Is it the classic Curdbros-Curio-Genesis Hydra.dec?
Pretty much That's why I prefaced it with the fact that some that have been on here a while would notice most of the deck. It does have a few changes (Wave instead of Hydra, Tireless Tracker, etc.). There is still some work in the board I'd like to do (I'd like a tiny bit more against Storm; but not entirely certain what I want, etc.) I LOVE Thragtusk; but not entirely certain it is necessary in the board of this particular build...Banefire was used to have both a Control hate and Removal option (but really don't need any additional help against control so it may not be needed), etc. I'll continue to post as changes are made to the board.
The Headliner " Devoted to Value " is very good in this article Knight of the Reliquary is just a beast. Best example is the newest Against Episode on mtggoldfish. This Abzan Thran-Fall Deck, got Ramp and some big buddies to finsih the Game.
I believe this concept can be adapt in a WG devotion deck plan. The Manabase could be really rough
And i'm really exited in Ravnica. I hope for some sweet creatures with or and so on.
Hmm going to a pptq this weekend and am going to bring a version of green devo to it. My meta is about 20% jund/ds/some form of 1for1 goodstuff. about 25% control, about another 20% KCI/Coco counters/jank solitaire combo, and then the rest is creature (spirits, humans to a lesser extent)and fan favorites or saffron olive specials.
Would the traditional PW focused build be better (bring more ruric thars and prime times) or CoCo devo abuse? I have most if not all of the cards for both versions too.
20% jund/ds/some form of 1for1 goodstuff --> card value especially card draw/advantages are important. need the right sideboard cards. No version is better.
20% KCI/Coco counters/jank solitaire combo --> any disruption is good and important. sadly we aren't that fast. Traditional/ToolBox Version is better (swiss knife disruption)
25% control --> hard to tell. Most control decks had trouble to deal with Planeswalker. But imo the Coco version is better, because it has more value creatures and power on its own.
Play the version that fit your preferences in playstyle at best.
New Green Devotion staple? This could really cement green devotion as a tier 1 deck.

I really like it for our sideboards...give us an "omni" answer at 2-CMC (which is something we really benefit from). Also allows us to REALLY focus on land destruction/fixing hate if we need to (with Slime, this, etc.).

SO I've tested the Temur Devotion Flash list a lot now and it's very competitive. In fact I think it's pretty well positioned in the current meta. It's my favorite Green Devotion list to play atm. Playing a reactive game with Green Devotion is very unorthodox, and combined with the ability to enable many Huntmaster tranformations makes for great gameplay and powerful Magic.
It has a good matchup vs. U/W control, and hardly any creature decks can claim that these days. The maindeck lifegain from double scooze and quadruple Huntmaster makes the Burn matchup decent. It can disrupt combo with counterspells and Scooze and kill with quick beats. If the mega ramp is disrupted it has a strong value and fair game. It has removal from Huntmaster flips.

I guess I need to find an answer to fast Kiki Combo. I had command of the board and was about to swing for lethal next turn, but of course he combos out. Raking Canopy is my first thought, if I can find the SB space for it.
I will absolutely be trying out Assassin's Trophy (looks like I'm splashing Black!)….but I'm pretty bummed it is pretty darn strong against us and will see A LOT of play.
I really like it for our sideboards...give us an "omni" answer at 2-CMC (which is something we really benefit from). Also allows us to REALLY focus on land destruction/fixing hate if we need to (with Slime, this, etc.).

It's quite possible the deck just wants more Crumble to Dust instead of Blood Moon to secure the Tron matchup.
Being able to Pact for Snake is super sweet.

I'm testing your list and it's very good. SLC puts the pressure that AS list was missing.
Another option os change the Witness Loop for Pacts and more toolbox creatures, but I don't have idea for this changes now.
