AS discussed his SB a few pages back. Long story made short: he said he'd keep Gust and drop the other SB white spells. I tend to agree with this: Gust is a bit slower than Corrosion, but handles a slew of other things that we can't easily handle.
My most current list is also based on his, and you'll find it in my sig.
I've found Oath of Nissa to be pretty awkward in a list with that many tutors... feels really bad to dig past a pact when you're desperate for a payoff card. Has it been working ok for you guys?

Oh, thanks, now I saw.
Well, after reading that sideboard changes, Burn and Affinity aren't that bad, but Vizir Knightfall still looks a hard MU. Any tips against this?
I'm playing Ponza for now and even with all the red removals this MU is very hard, they have 2 combos and an easy beatdown with a giant Knight.
Also, there is any side out guide against the most common decks? The options to put in are easy, but I don't know what take out...
Knightfall is a rather niche deck, and not something I'd specifically intend to SB against. However, if you stick with Relics, that sounds like a good answer to it.
As for what to SB out, that's a major challenge and there are no specific guides since deck lists vary substantially. I tend to ask "which of my utility creatures don't really help," and replace those.
A lot of devotion decks have the splash for moon and kessig, I'm thinking it also warrents replacing oath of nissa possibly with faithless looting.
such a swap has a lot of appeal to me these days cause of nitch situations like that where you can't get you summoner's pact. further more filtering away late game dead draws such as land or extra mana dorks.
This is not unreasonable, as Looting is quite strong and flashback mana should not be hard to come by. However, Looting does not add to Devotion counts, and our deck does not have natural sources of card economy to counteract the disadvantage of Looting. This should be taken into account, but I can see the value for decks with many cards that Oath cannot find.
I’ve been gathering cards up to build devotion ever since Gigantosaurus and Runic Armasaur was spoiled (I have a thing for dinosaurs. Glad they were good cards too!) Seeing it in a list makes me happy.
Hopefully I can finalize a list and start posting here soon. Deck looks like a lot of fun
realized i had almost every card in that most recent 5-0 list so threw it together for a random fun time. Promptly 4-1 two consecutive comp leagues (I added a kessig wolf run and have a different sideboard). It is fun, Ill add a second stomping ground and maybe look to take out something for some piece of maindeck life gain.
It's also running Bloodbraid Elf and Steel Leaf Champ so it gets my thumbs up.
Very interesting. I've been playing a 1-of Armasaur; but may have to up it I'd be really interested to hear more about how the others (Steel Leaf, Gigantasaurus, etc.) perform.

I do think if you can make up for the "card loss" (effective) that Faithless looting is a powerful tool. I tend to play very Oath-Centric lists (lots of walkers, creatures, etc.) so it tends to be a useful tool for me...but I can totally understand the frustration of missing Pact and other powerful options (not only missing them, but putting them on the bottom of your deck).
Hi guys, a new guy just starting on MTG and first time posting. I am very interested in making a toolbox green devotion deck and have a few questions:
1) if my list is almost identical to the primer list (3 primal command, 3 chord of calling, 3 abrupt decay, 2 Nissa oath, 4 utopian, toolbox creatures), is tooth and nails still necessary? I mean, it would allow a quick angle of restor + Kiki combo but wouldn’t that mean I might as well be playing a full 4 x tooth and nail list to be more consistent? Would cutting one primal command for t&n matter too much?
2) I am thinking a little about adding a one of skalla wolf as it could tutor for abrupt decay and other sorcery, something oath of Nissa couldn’t do. It is not uncommon to be able to pump out 5 mana on turn 2-3 and also contributes GG devotion.
3) lastly, Ruric Thar or Hoofdaddy? Ruric thar seems awesome against all sort of modern play 10 cards a turn strategies but will it be too slow when it hits the battlefield on turn 3? Or should I just force the game to end quickly on turn 5-6 by having hoofdaddy fetchable in my deck?
I have no experience yet with the deck and would really appreciate helpful feedback to justify my financial commitments before joining the Green Devotion family!

Good questions, but it sounds a like a slightly unorthodox list. Can you post a full proposed decklist so we can see how it all interacts together before making suggestions on your questions?
Because you really need for the combo , i suggest 1x Knight of the Reliquary . This Knight is really insane. And can Tutor Nykthos if needed or Kessig Wolf Run.
The Manabase is a bit rough. drop black is just a hard choice but i think it could be necessary.
Most classic ToolBox are very creature based. The Devotion Version of yours is no exception imo. In the case of droping black : switch Abrupt Decay into an another creature Ramp cards or card Draw, in the same way a classic toolbox just doing it with Wall of Omens. Maybe Elvish Visionary. Not thrilling, but replacing itself and is a creature (craterhoof, chord of calling, chump block, garruk final, give devotion) Spellskite can be a dead card in a lot Matchups. Since Lightning Bolt is not that often anymore, you can replace the card or give that card a place in the sideboard.
Craterhoof is in most Games a instant Win. Ruric is more something against Control or Combo and is a big threat on its own, too. But if you had to decide: Craterhoof for sure.
Thinking about Toolbox in Devotion. The most succesful Devotion Player had a "half" Toolbox Deck. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/player/Anthony Skrzypczak
If you look in his Deckslist it is familiar to your list imho.

Thanks for the reply!
I am just considering black as a valid option because it enables card like Siege Rhino, Abrupt Decay and Slaughter Games and perhaps the mana problem can be solved by having one of the Utopian sprawl to represent black mana? But you are right, if it becomes too inconsistent i might just stick with a G/W build instead.
Small concern about Knight of the Reliquary: wouldn't it be a little slow? As in, when it lands on the battlefield, it doesn't do much and tapping is required to tutor land. Some how i feel like oath of nissa, chord, primeval giant, primal command should all be enough to obtain the required land. I am actually debating about Courser of Kruphix and Runic Armasaur. Definitely gonna play test these few 3 drop candidates though.
I see, I will definitely try to find one Craterhoof as a wincon despite its massive price then. Thank you for sharing the deck of Anthony Skrzypczak! That provides another avenue of deck building direction for me down the road, should I struggle with the current concoction
Sorry for not getting back to reply till now. Here's my thoughts on your questions:
1. About TnN: In this particular combo list, I would not recommend running TnN; it seems more like an "accidental, oops I have 9 mana" card, and at that point, yes, you should just be playing a TnN deck.
2. Skalla Wolf: In a toolbox deck, you pinpoint bullet searches, rather than graze among the top 5. While the wolf isn't bad, I don't think he's worth a 5-drop slot in your deck.
3. Thar v Hoof: I definitely recommend Hoof over Ruric. Ruric will still take some turns to close out the game, during which time they could find an answer. Hoof usually just wins on the spot.
Other parts of the discussion: I see you're not running any Birds of Paradise or ramp creatures other than the Arbor Elves. Especially with only 20 lands, this hurts the consistency of your openers, and increases vulnerability to early bolts/pushes. I like the suggestion of dropping black to help this consistency and free up some slots for a land and a couple mana dorks. I'd also limit your toolbox target slots to maybe 4, and push the rest to sideboard. You don't need to be prepared for every matchup in game 1. Instead of having quite so many expensive drops, shore up your early game devotion creatures to help propel your mana into the endgame threats either by drawing (Runic Armasaur) or searching (Chord/command).
Overall, a pretty spicy list with some very fun combos. I like your take on it.
Still praticing with the list bellow, but feeling some incosistancy. Some times I have really explosive hands, but most of the time I felt that I can't win without Pact. Some hands I have just ramp spells, some times no ramp, some times I can't hold the battlefield until I can drop a bomb and some times I can't do nothing when they kill my dorks. This Nissa isn't helping top, maybe Garruk, Caller of Beasts? Also felt that I need more 5 CMC options, looks like the easiest turn 3.
Aggro decks are being a problem, also struggling against Ponza destroying my lands with Utopia or bolting my boys.
There are new lists on the block?
Maybe that new one with BBE and SLC (still waiting the cards) to test.

Thank you for the feedback! I love your insight on my mana problem: those were indeed the very issue i face during my playtests. I have slotted in 2 birds of paradise and they were working wonders to smooth out the ramp! Love it. I did the same with toolboxes: moved ruric thar and nissa vital force to sideboard and let the seige rhinos put up the pressure on the opponent. Seems to make the deck a lot more consistent. I will practice more with the deck and will update once i have some success with it in tournaments!
