@discomute welcome to G Devotion and Tooth and Nail!
On the subject, what do you guys think of Emrakul, the Promised End as the finisher of choice for T&N? She was mentioned here a while ago but nothing really ever came of that.
I've been playing her and 4x Jadelight Ranger, which has been very good. 2 devotion + card draw is good, and it does it's thing even if removed, which is what has annoyed me about tireless tracker in a meta full of bolt.
New Emmy seems castable without a Tooth in hand, especially with Rangers fueling the yard, and she still kills just fine off the combo.
THis deck ramps with not many lands, Sylvan Awakening is meant for decks ramping by producing lands.

@Aethelianmage
At first thought: Why not the strict better Emrakul?!? But at next, there is not much reason. As a Combo with T&N , we got haste with Xenagos. And the Protection from Instants is really enough to end the Game in the same turn without any disruption from the Oponennt.
Ok,the Annihilator abilities trigger is really a winning strategy even the Opponent survive a 30/30 flying trample monster. But in a T&N Version with the Promised End, make it possible a realistic hard cast. the last point is a very big Pro point.
I used Emrakul, the Promised End in Gifts Devotion List (with not much success). The CMC to cast was around 9-10 CMC. In a T&N Deck, i would play Promised End because its funny and often you must think about , if the game not runs so well.
Maybe Traverse the Ulvenwald is a choice. little ramp, but does a sorcery for only G in your graveyard. With Delirium a very powerful tutor card. Honored Hydra was often very good if you play with the graveyard.
It just seems like having a bunch of indestructible vigilant 2/2 creatures would be better than bad....
That was Rendroc say. if you brewed around it, you need Lands and Ramp spells that search Lands like in Valakut Decks.
With Sylvan Advocate it would be soooo funny. cards like Hour of Promise and some of the best ManLands and....i don't know. Just brew it and look how it works, what it's missing, what is possible and so on.
Maybe some Sheanigans abusing with World Shaper or Waker of the Wilds.
Edit: ....in the Aether was a modern The Gitrog Monster Deck. Maybe Sylvan Awakening doing there a good Job , too?! In the last sets we get very powerful land interaction effects.

Very interesting idea indeed. I hadn’t really ever thought of Promised end as a finisher for us; but it may work out well. I’d love to hear more about this.
Since my good-start-then-faceplant at GP Phoenix, i have been messing around with various builds of the deck. This is my current build. It's not tuned, but I think it's the only experiment so far that's better than the list I took to the GP.
My issue with the 'stock' tooth and nail list is that, while it's explosive, it's vulnerable to being disrupted and then just sitting there with all the mana and nothing. I wound not find those type of games fun, so my builds tend to trade explosiveness for staying power. I think I took that too far in thew build at the GP though. This one is all ramp, gas, and and selection, with much of the reactive elements in the sideboard.
I have not missed Big Emmy. One of the problems with her is that she is often not castable and is a dead draw unless there's already a Tooth and Nail in hand. Promised End is much easier to cast, especially with Jadelight Rangers fueling the yard (and he is good on his own anyway), while still delivering lethal off the combo.
I was too busy these past few weeks to catch a FNMs, so this list does need more testing.
@ GarfieldKlon: A small bit of testing with traverse shows me that my list cannot turn delirium on consistently and early enough for traverse to be good. That said, it is a card we should keep in the back of our minds. Also reminds me of an idea I had of a "Delirium Devotion" build that never really went anywhere. Roughly it would look like this:
That's a pretty stellar performance so far. I wonder what his current build looks like. I caught a glimpse of the SB, but didn't catch the decklist on screen (if it was there at all). Hope he continues his run.
Well...he got paired with INFECT! Really...the toughest match up we have against a deck that sees extremely little play in Modern...still went 3-2 so that is impressive. I'm guessing those boardwipes did some work!
Still an amazing showing for Green Devotion and Anthony! Great work Mr. S!
Hey guys, anthony here. Thanks for all your support. This weekend has been crazy.
Couple of notes:
my sideboard was kinda crap, but luckily it did not matter. (Out of my 8 rounds of modern, only 2 went to 3 games. That means I played almost half of the games preboard) Do not copy the white cards, they were too cute to be correct. I literally never played a white card this weekend other than fracturing gust. In retrospect, I didnt need them to win, and I dont like the lack of consistency from playing the extra color. Worship was for humans, and I felt silly winning both humans matchups without drawing it. Its not good enough against most other matchups, so it felt like wasted slots. I would rather just play more removal or tweak the maindeck for humans.
The infect match in top 8 was great. My 2 wins were from craterhoof, not killing his creatures. If we see more infect in the meta, I plan on playing sudden shock. He had the better seed, so he was on the play. As it ended up, each of us won when on the play, which was kinda funny. Aaron was great to play against, and it was gratifying to hear that matchup ended up feeling a lot closer than he had expected. Sometimes its fun to just jam two non-interactive decks against each other.
Ponza is really mediocre against us. Ponza is bad against any deck that is not soft to blood moon. Just keep hands with lands, and board in some removal for arbor elf. As long as you sequence utopia sprawl and nykthos smartly, its not a hard matchup. Just play to the beatdown plan, and you will be fine. I have won the vast majority of my matchups against this deck.
3 blood moon
2 relic of progenitus
1 grafdiggers cage
2 walking ballista
2 obstinate baloth (could also be kitchen finks)
2 kozileks return
2 fracturing gust
1 removal spell (i prefer sudden shock, could also be abrade or bolt. This slot could maybe be an engineered explosives. I might test beast within, as I wish I had room for a natures claim, but beast within feels a little too expensive)

I find it truly cringe-worthy

Aaron Barich 3-2 Anthony Skrzypczak
Congratulations. A very good result in the End. Hopefully more luck in the Top8 next time
