@About Mul Daya Channelers
Yes. It's inconsistent on it own. But in my build i have incredible fun with these Girls. My Devotion Deck want see the most time the Top from my library for some reasons (Nissa, Kruphix, CardDrawEffects, "fetch cards away") and with Freed from the Real in the right time --> infinite Mana.
These Girls need a good home and after that, they make you very happy
As a great Option/Idea for you .
To my old Deck and the idea behind it, is to get a good Matchup against Combo-Decks and to faster Combo-Off the Game. At least my two configuration was both strong and it wasn't real difference. And the Turn 2 Kill Nut Draw (like the same as you describe) has only a Chance of 5% (7% on the draw). That isn't much.
I just didn't play the Combo Main, because at that moment i was very afraid about the massive "Discard-Effect" Decks at that (meta-)time. Now i would concentrate to play the Combo.
The good One that you use the Satyr to make your combo more consistence and Phantasm to get your Combo Pieces. And i really like the Idea with the Simic Growth Chamber. If you need more "untappers". Did you know the Kiora's Follower ?
The need of Temur Sabertooth is maybe a weak point.
There are much better ways to win when you have infinite mana than the Temur Sabertooth, yeah, it's mostly a pet card. (Though when you can't go infinite it does help you dodge removal.)
I haven't found myself needing more untappers, I think I have enough tutors that the 8 is fine
I've had my eyes back on T&N recently, but haven't played it yet. Still waffling between Devotion and T&N for Thursday.
As for playing it over other cheat cards, I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you're trying to maximize your win efficiency.
In terms of benefits, Polymorph requires a creature to survive, and TTB is a two card combo. T&N is an elegant 1-card wincon and wins the turn you play it. It also has an alternative beats own win condition depending on the midgsme creature spread. Harder to get to 9 mana than 4 or 5, but hey, it's fun
I just build nearly the same List like this from Anthony Skrzypczak, with some little expetions like a Garruk and Kiora split as example.
Have someone tested Blood Sun so far ? Could be great versus any 3 Color Decks, Valakut, Death&Taxes and maybe even Humans (For example: Cavern of Souls- Opponent can't say "Human" if BloodSun is on the field ). I knew it isn't powerful like Blood Moon , but it didn't disrupt Nykthos and let us draw a card. Got not a chance to test it.
Not long ago Tron was a hot candidate to using Blood Sun, but after a short time there was a spoiler with Damping Sphere in it. Now they use all Green and Nature's Claim in the Sideboard.
@maxivz
She is too slow. This baby Nissa may be good if she search any Land, but she can only find a basic forest. Flipping her is hard work. Compare to our strong 3Drops she isn't doing so much . ( Great, i didn't say bear.....d'oh )
I can actually see Blood sun working out decently for us, in a fetchless list. Blood Sun doesn't allow you to tap for mana the way Blood Moon does, so fetches would be dead in hand.
@GarfieldKlon Its great to see more people trying out Anthonys list, I think its one of the strongest and most consistent builds for devotion out there. Looking forward to see what your experiences with the decks are!
i really like Kiora and like it to dig trough the library with her -2 . So i did a little blue splash in the Deck.
And i believe we are really that Decktype that can really benefit from Blood Sun.
A free Nykthos, Card Draw and protection from the most LandHate (Ghost Quarter / Field of Ruin ) is a big deal. We slow down our Opponent
and we can play our normal GamePlan as usual. and the funniest part. All fetchlands doing absolutly nothing.
1. Match
vs. Death Shadow
first round i got a good start and my opponent , too. but he gone mana flood. Easy Win first round
second round i got mana screwed on 2 Lands and a lot fatties in hand. the Tarmogoyf just ended the game with a battle rage
the third round was better, but i didn't drew my finisher.
1-2
2. Match
vs. Madru Pyromancer
was a good Matchup for us, and the token didn't do too much. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is great. She won the second round nearly alone.
2-0
3.Match
vs. Storm
eek...
on my turn 3 i curved out very well. Plant, bird, Arbor, emissary and Hornet Queen. As Bonus garruk with 4 Counters and i did play Nissa turn 2. so i just did the -2 abillity a beutiful board state . The comment from outside: "Oh my Gosh, did you play EDH ?!? ". But it was the beginning of the 4 turn for the Storm player --> Combo
The second round i did have Abrade and Lightning Bolt on my starthand. I abrade Baral and have bolted the Electromancer, but on his turn 4 he just combo off.
0-2
4.Match
Jeskai Midrange/Control
Starthand: 1 Land and 1x Oath. Ok, give it a try. i just dig a lot in my library, but i missed the right pieces to play it out.
The second round, was more extreme. boarded Blood Sun in my second Ooze. In my 4. turn i just see all my Oath and find most of the time the wrong parts. At the beginning i didn't found a second Land. After a long time, i just play BloodSun and it was exiled with Spell Queller. next turn, i really want attacked the queller with Garruk Relentless --> Negate (the only one in the Deck and he said it comes even from the Sideboard). in the End i could finally cast the Carnage Tyrant and turn later even Ruric Thar. But at that moment my livepoints was too low. The fliers just end the game.
0-2
My first Fazit:
1-3 overall in the End. I knew that the Deck could a lot more.
Just get bad luck with the most card draw and i must really practise to be better with this Deck (maybe i hold to often bad hands) .
With that much of tiny creatures that can come to the board, the Garruk Overrun is a very good spot to win. i think i will board Kiora out for my Version. Maybe something for Card-quality could be good, but at the moment, i just doing only a note to myself.
For all that read this: The Deck must be really good. The Version that i played is really close to that Version from A.S. Here the statistic:

Had just looking about the "recent" success from Fulgence. This Deck is from 17/11/2016 . Edit: Oops. As well with the same Deck on 08.05.2018 and 28.04.2018
2016 was before i had found my way to the sweetest Deck Type in Modern
Thats enough to look a little bit closer to this "article" and this Deck. To the little question if you had enough creatures to support Collected Company. i would say yes. 28 targets are very common, and this deck had 27 targets for CC . That is still pretty good.
The Sideboard is the most interesting Part from this Deck. 2x Eldritch Evolution and a lot 1 Offs as Toolbox targets and Utility Lands as 1 Offs, too.
The Utility Lands ( Bojuka Bog and Ghost Quarter ) can be targets for the Knight of the Reliquary.
It looks a little bit like a Hybrid from a Devotion Deck and a GW Value/Selesnya Value Deck.

The Blood Sun Discussion / Analyse
Blood Sun is a interesting card and i think latly a lot about it. At the moment i know only that 1x Jeskai and 1x Death Shadow Player was really scared about this card as i told them what i boarded against them. I will definitly report my experience with it (even the bad ones )
Notably, it does not turn off Tron lands, but DOES turn off Ghost Quarter and Field of Ruin, which are the answers many people have to them. Additionally, it does not turn off the sol lands in Eldrazi prison decks. But we can attack other Decks Fetchlands if we play early our Sun on Turn 2. We just only need a 1 Off (Arbor Elf, Sprawl, Birds ).
Having said this, it’s not as good as Blood Moon at shutting out your opponent, and that’s clear. It doesn’t lock your opponent out of their mana completely, and if you draw it after say, turn four, it’s probably going to do nothing at all to their mana base. It won’t be used as a prison card per se, unless it’s being powered out on turn 2.
It was mention that Tron or fetchless Storm will be playing Blood Sun. Damping Sphere had ruined that totally for Tron, because the hate come now from Damping Sphere and an additional Splash are unwanted. About Storm i can't really say anything. At the moment i can't search the Storm Thread. I think they didn't had any room for interaction with the opponent. At the moment the Hype about this card is complet over.
However. The List with Pros and Cons is this time a big one.
Card Draw / replace itself , never a full dead card
Very good in Starthand: A possible early play and we need (mostly) 1 Mana of the Splash Colour
It didn't disrupt our Nykthos. We play our normal ramp plan like every game.
Ghost Quarter/Field of Ruin/Tectonic Edge
Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle
Inkmoth Nexus/Other man lands
the Opponent had real trouble to get his 3rd or 4th Mana. 7-10 Fetchlands that doing nothing and are death draw.
Surprise effect. Maybe a Player forgot to fetch in reaction and NOT like always end of turn
it doesn't just hate on some types of nonbasic lands. It also helps other types of nonbasic lands. In particular, with Blood Sun on the battlefield, bouncelands enter the battlefield untapped (and don't make you bounce a land). --> More Options in Deckbuilding
It destroy still other Decks by itself: Scapeshift, Amulet Titan Decks, Death&Taxes, Death Shadow
Cons:
it’s not as good as Blood Moon at shutting out your opponent
It doing nothing against all sort of Tron Decks
Blood Sun can hit even us if we using fetchlands. Our other ramp spells must compensate this
Shut down Kessig Wolf Run
For sure is Blood Moon the more powerful card, but it can hit us as well. On the other side, Blood Sun let us in the worst case draw a card and let Nykthos untouched and this make the difference between Sun and Moon.
Like in the medicine could be the question about the exact right dosis. blood sun maybe is the right choice to slow down your opponent long enough to win the game. to write this text i have read some old articles in a time there was Spoiler season with Blood Sun. Only one have mention it that GR might be the best shell and that only in one Sentence in the End .
Properly i overthink about this card. If you can wreckage the Manabase from your Opponent with the Moon , just do it! Your Opponent is more hurt as you for sure. The raw Power from Blood Moon is it worth to play it and every risk with the own Manabase.
Sun is more a Tool like the most other cards in the Deck. Its the vicious little sister from the Blood Moon. In most cases with both Cards the BPlayer will be Thoughtseize(or any other discardeffect) this card and U Player counter this card - it's ok, now we have room for our important cards and our main game plan.
One word to the Card Draw effect on sun and why it is important. Imagine a ordinary situation: we are on turn 4 or 5 game 2, most cards are played and the skillfully Opponent got his 2 Basic Lands trough fetch, worried/prepared about a possible Blood Moon and the red source that he have seen game 1, and an annoying utilityland . what would you rather have? Moon or Sun ?
i think it is Sun, both disrupt the annoying utilityland , but only with the sun you can draw hopefully a good card.
Oh, if the Opponent mention a Blood Moon in our Deck he would boarding hate against this. In this case, if the Opponent is lucky, we have still the additional card from the Sun. Sun and Moon are both great in the early game, and Moon is such greater as Sun if you can play it early. In the Midrange or "Topdeckmodus" in the Lategame the CardDraw effect from the Sun make it better.
*sigh*.... i must just really test it and look how this card performed in real magic game.
@CurdBros
truly interesting thoughts that tormented me. Now after i write this, i'm feeling free
Gerry T. Highlighted a “Naya Devotion” in his article today!
Can you link to the article or is it behind a paywall?
Yeah...it's premium...but he literally just says a little blurb about a recent 5-0 deck by Fulgence:
Ok, hopefully a new take of useful Informations:
i had forgotten that mtgtop8 didn't post MTGO Competitive Modern Constructed League results anymore. because the data is more examples and far away from a complete data. The reason imo , they won't corrupt their statistics.
So i look on tcdecks. The Name for all Devotion Decks is "Mono Green" if anyone will be search for "news" .
And the Deck that mention in the article is more outstanding as it look in the first moment. I did a Player search and it wasn't only a 5-0 once on MTGO. He repeat it several times.
Mono Green Modern Fulgence MTGO Modern League - Undefeated Decks 25 08/05/2018
Rogue Modern Fulgence MTGO Modern League - Undefeated Decks 34 04/05/2018
Mono Green Modern Fulgence MTGO Modern League - Undefeated Decks 13 28/04/2018
Devotion to Green Fulgence MTGO Competitive Modern Constructed League 5 17/11/16
Devotion to Green Fulgence MTGO Competitive Modern Constructed League 7 07/10/16
the core is nearly the same, but the sideboard is changing often. It seems he brewed and tuned the Deck a lot.
high exited about a Collected Company Version ( i own 4xCC ) i just search again. But this time only in this thread about Knight of the Reliquary
Didn't find much from interest, but this was a good one from CurdBros
It literally takes all of those 3-drops we keep talking about and jams them all together.
Also uses Knight of Reliquary (which I love). I was worried KOR would be too slow; but Butakov has a TON of trophies (more than anyone on MTGO I think); so if he is playing it than it has to be pretty darn good.
Exciting to see this list. I like the outside of the box thinking (of Company instead of Garruk and no Oath of Nissa)...now I love me some Garruk (and I don't see myself removing him any time soon); but nothing should be sacred...and lists like these can help breath new life into our thought processes!
Can't believe that i didn't realize how competiv this version could be. This Deck deserved it to get more focus as a new Devotion Archetype! And i will be playing this Version in the future . Maybe there is room for some shenanigans combo with the Knight like with the land card Arena (and yes its modern legal -> timeshift) . Or maybe the all-star Gavony Township.
@Fulgence
At first: Congratulations !
If you read this: What happend in the one year gap ?
Or even better: can you something write about your experience?

It's not CurdBro's Deck, its from Butakov (a high reward MTGO Player)
I qoute the old posting from CurdBro as a result from my research ( i just write in the spoiler-tag the date) . because the Deck has evolved and nobody had really noticed it.
Fulgence (that MTGO Player with success) just have kessig wolf run in his Deck
...and the reason i write about him and his well tuned Deck
I think it is important to bring such ideas forward, as they really help the community. The world is big and innovations are constant. It takes vigilance to collect and report observations such as a good run by such an innovation.
While I'm not crazy about the way that deck wants to play the game, the power is really obvious and I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying it. The Knight and Tracker really combo well together, an interaction notable in Legacy Maverick. I like their fitting in an Eternal-Command loop as well, which buys a lot of time for that combo to shine.
I do think a KWR would fit. I'd also likely want to reduce the deck's vulnerability to Blood Moon, and the build probably is not quite explosive enough to take full advantage of the BTEs. There is also room for some other classic KotR action in there, like Crucible-Quarter. That said, I think this is a great list, and yet another reason for me to get the Trackers I've been meaning to for a long time.
P.S. Sorry for the recent quietness....we had two family members (grandfather and aunt) both end up in the hospital on the same day One has since had an operation and the other is still undergoing tests....so it's been a lot of traveling and sitting...they couldn't have even done the decent thing and ended up in the SAME hospital! Both should be out soon, so I can get back to devoting my time here again.

@CurdBros
truly interesting thoughts that tormented me. Now after i write this, i'm feeling free

Mhhhmmmm, cold pressed green Devotion
Can't believe that i didn't realize how competiv this version could be. This Deck deserved it to get more focus as a new Devotion Archetype! And i will be playing this Version in the future . Maybe there is room for some shenanigans combo with the Knight like with the land card Arena (and yes its modern legal -> timeshift) . Or maybe the all-star Gavony Township.
@Fulgence
At first: Congratulations !
If you read this: What happend in the one year gap ?
Or even better: can you something write about your experience?
I like the idea of the land tutor in KofR, but I still think you need 1 kessig wolf run so that Knight is punching through.
Thanks for digging this up and highlighting it.
