Cards and sections will follow sequentially as listed, first going down a column, then occassionally being split to a new column.
A comon split is sections for Land, Creatures, Spells, and Sideboard. Sometimes this works, other times I feel there is a more sensible breakdown (if you look at my other deck lists, you'll see what I mean).

He plays four Summoner's Pact and a Chord of Calling; so it looks like at least in those tournaments that tutors are great tools! His toolbox is more in the main deck (much like Meowthod/moofz)...so she is certainly on to something there!
I do like the main deck Ruric Thar, the Unbowed too. It can hurt us; but it is killer to many opponents.
I don't know that I'd enjoy playing that build quite as much myself. That said, if you're fighting something like Eldrazi, Pact or Chord is a LOT faster than Command, Wave, or Hydra. If you look at the deck, it's clear he made a conscious decision to that effect. I also think the one maindeck GQ is a nice touch, especially with Eternal Witness to recur it. Honestly, I'd probably just drop Command in that deck: as nice as it might be to have it, really, he'd probably be better served by another Chord. Aside from soft-lock, nothing it does couldn't be accomplished by other cards in his toolbox.

The problem with Domri Rade is having no protect, giving only 1 devotion, and forcing you to protect him with creatures that give devotion(we don't like blocking).
Nissa is strong in the sense that:
1. she stalls the game out which lets us build/find wincons.
2.In a stalemate scenario she has a looming sphinx's revelation.
3. In the games where you dont see top end, you make a plant and gavony your team twice over the next few turns.
4. She protects your team from pontiff/zealous persecutions due to gavony.
5. multiples of her work due to -2 nissa, recast -2 nissa to buff up the team.
6. makes two targets on turn 2, which makes 1 for 1 difficult.
7. forces control players to lose card advantage due to threat of ultimate, and not dying to bolt after +1
The idea behind her is to lower the variance that this deck suffers from. Eternal witness and courser won't necessarily fix a bad hand, but nissa can turn your mana dorks into valid threats. She provides early game protection, while adding 2 devotion- and more or less gives you more options in any given situation.
the only time where she has felt bad was when I queued into goblins and couldn't chump block stall due to legion loyalist. She has practical applications in near every MU and provides an alternate psuedo-wincon, or the space to get her. Even then the opponent still has incentive to swing her instead of you, due to the threat of gaining life.
With an ideal hand, shes not perfect. For those less than ideal hands, she provides some much needed utility.

The 3-drop slot(s) are probably the most difficult slot(s) to fill in the deck. We have many great options; but they vary in what they can do. I do think each tends to fit best in specific decks. Here are the main 3-drops and where I think they fit:
1. Overgrowth - This best fits in Tooth & Nail decks (as these are the decks with the most "untap" cards and this gets out of hand quickly.
2. Eternal Witness - THE 3-drop for most devotion decks. If you play Primal Command; yoy play Witness in multiple copies. Most (if not all) decks should have at least 2 in their 75. She is best in decks that play Primal Command, Genesis Wave, and/or Chord of Calling (anything she can recur easily and consistently.
3. Nisssa, Voice of Zendikar - This is a 3-drop that goes the "widest". It is best in decks that wish to focus on planeswalkers, that wish to take advantage of Garruk's ultimate, and that like to build an army of smaller creatures to overrun (with cards like Craterhoof Behemoth). Any cards that buff all creatures or give you a reward for having multiple creatures work well too. It can be a little slower than the others; but it also can be the most overhwhelming.
4. Courser of Kruphix - Courser is the best card for digging and gaining card advantage. It also allows for some "tricks" by being able to see the top of the library. Courser is best played in decks used to playing fast aggro opponents (given it's 4-toughness, life gain, card "draw" ability, and ability to play multiples). It seems to work best in more "midrange" style decks.
Side note: If I were playing a copy of tutor/toolbox Green, you'd have to try really hard to convince me not to fit a copy of Panglacial Wurm in the deck.

This is an attempt to combine the Walker and Tooth and Nail. With the Blood Moon main board I can bounce it with the cloudstone when I need to use Nykthos. I am also trying to find room for 2-4 summoners pacts( maybe even add a splash of the toolbox idea). The sideboard would kinda look like 1 Iona, 1 Painter's Servant, 2 Crumble to dust, 2 Choke, 2 Reclamation Sage, 2 Oath of Chandra, 2 Loaming Shaman, 2 Silent Arbiter, 1 Kitchen Finks.( might add more finks).
I will be posting a mono green valakut Devotion here in the next day or two.

Also I just hate the idea of chord of calling, because if you have an empty board and 5 mana you don't do anything. but if you have an empty board and primal command you can potentially lock the game out.
That winning deck list from Japan doesn't play any copies of oath of nissa. Seems weird not to be playing that card.

This list seems really poorly positioned to maximize them. All I can think of is that they really support the All-Tiny-Spells sideboard plan. And I guess you can't argue with results...
That said, I adore Fauna Shaman and Cloudthresher (he's in my sideboard). I'm going to pull my shaman from my elves list and slam her in here asap

I'm tempted to make this more midrange, possibly by using more of Kiora's -2 and the graveyard. The original idea was to build it in more of a Legacy Nic Fit style.
Criticism is welcome. And if you can legit squeeze Plow Under in, I'd be thankful. Plow /Witness was one of my favorite Standard decks.
You could maybe try alchemists refuge for spicy-flash in thragtusk end of turn/instant speed primal command tech!
I've been testing a bit with sylvan caryatid over birds. I think the only match up where the plants are better than the birds is maybe against jund, and even then it's only okay. Probably doesn't make it much better, and birds is okay, just vulnerable. Anyone else test out caryatid? I think we lose edges against some decks not being able to chump block flyers as well as not being able to attack. If your meta is infested with bolts and jund in particular, maybe caryatid is better.
I like the japan list, but remember, their meta is way way different than anything else. Can anyone find a list of decks from that even? I can only see maybe elves and taking turns as other decks in that event.

But the lack of Oath of Nissa and 61 cards is, indeed, a bit puzzling. Oath may just be that, for some reason, he feels Pact/Chord/Command need no further supplementing. That said, Witness is great in just about any deck. She has plenty of targets, even if not so many of them create loops/lockouts.

Plow Under always seems inferior to Primal Command these days for me, but I could be mistaken (particularly if you run fewer Eternal Witness). Probably also go -1 Land, +1 Garruk.

Caryatid is interesting, but I think fills a distinctly different role: Birds is acceleration and an evasive finisher with Kessig, Caryatid is more about consistency (smoothing draws, stable defense). I generally agree: if I'm dropping Craterhoof, creatures with Defender are less helpful.
I think if you're dropping Cloudthresher to get rid of something, losing Birds isn't a big concern though.

Yeah, that list is clearly a focused Genesis Wave/Craterhoof list, but the 4x Acidic Slime hints at some really weird metagame concerns. Also, again no Oath (preferring Abundant Growth and other regular cantrips emphasizes a desire to hit Wave), and no Kessig or Primeval. This guy is after chain-Wave every game.
Might take a break from this deck for a while- or at least fundamentally rethink my list. Starting to feel pretty rock-paper-scissor with how many bad MU I've been hitting on mtgo.
I'm noticing that I would not consider myself "favored" with anything in the tier 1/2 category, most matchups feel winnable- but I'm never happy to see a certain deck.
I would play that deck. Thorn Elemental is sweet.

Caryatid is interesting, but I think fills a distinctly different role: Birds is acceleration and an evasive finisher with Kessig, Caryatid is more about consistency (smoothing draws, stable defense). I generally agree: if I'm dropping Craterhoof, creatures with Defender are less helpful.
I think if you're dropping Cloudthresher to get rid of something, losing Birds isn't a big concern though.
Yeah, that list is clearly a focused Genesis Wave/Craterhoof list, but the 4x Acidic Slime hints at some really weird metagame concerns. Also, again no Oath (preferring Abundant Growth and other regular cantrips emphasizes a desire to hit Wave), and no Kessig or Primeval. This guy is after chain-Wave every game.

I'm noticing that I would not consider myself "favored" with anything in the tier 1/2 category, most matchups feel winnable- but I'm never happy to see a certain deck.
