Isn't it the best feeling when this happens and you win anyway? It happened to me last year when I offered a draw when we were both 3-0 and he said the extra $5 was important to him and he wanted to play. He also said "I have a good Jund matchup", which was weird, because I've never played a Jund deck in my life, but apparently he thought I was on Jund and he thought he could steamroll me. Turns out that removal.dec, and specifically Searing Blaze, wrecked his Elves deck and it wasn't even close. It happened again a few months ago with the same "nah, the $5 is important to me" story, and they were playing a RUG control deck and I beat them too.
Also it's nice to win a match without your opponent even getting off the ground.
I'm considering 2xExquisite Firecraft but wonder how necessary it actually is, as I don't expect too many Control decks in the side events.
Secondly, would you bring in Kor Firewalker vs Mardu Pyromancer? It blanks half their removal and gains you lots of life...
I think you're running too many copies of Searing Blood. Personally, I prefer Grim Lavamancer. Grafdigger's Cage seems unnecessary if you already run 2 copies of Rest in Peace. Cutting one cage and one searing effect for two Exquisite Firecraft seems to be where you want to be. Exquisite Firecraft also works against Eldrazi Tron (which gives you another way to play through double Chalice of the Void) and Death's Shadow (which finishes them off of their already low life total without them being able to stabilize with Stubborn Denial). This sounds weird but there was a discussion about it a while ago and that's what people said to run.
Kor Firewalker seems good against Mardu, since they only have 2 copies of Fatal Push. I've never considered it, but it seems like a smart thing to do. since it also blocks their threats too.

I mentioned it a while back. It's probably good to have 2 copies in the sideboard or something. The reason I like having a card like this is that it's always good to have some generic burn spells in the sideboard when I sideboard other things (like Searing Blaze) and I have nothing else to side in. Also, so people have been running it over Skullcrack, but you probably need to go up to 2 copies of Stomping Ground.

I've always been of the opinion that you don't have to go creature heavy to make AC playable. It's not as if it deals 2 and then might deal more. It deals at least as much as Skullcrack and then might deal more.

Just curious, but when developing Burn's mana base, some advice I got when going to a big tournament is diversifying your fetches. What are people's thought about this? I was thinking about doing a 3 Mesa, 3 Tarn, 2 Bloodstained, and 2 Foothills. Is it a marginal thing to worry about or is this something I want to be aware of?

The reason to diversify is to protect yourself from things like pithing needle that target a single card by name. If you have twelve fetches of three types, so like 4 foothills 4 tarn 4 mires, and they play turn 1 needle on mire, that stops more cards than if you had a 3/3/3/3 split with three of the aforementioned plus three mesas.
Ultimately, though, this is such an infrequent occurrence that you could go years without ever running into this problem. It is more theoretical optimization than anything else.

I do think that it is worth it to play RW without enchantment removal in a generalized meta. The big enchantment boogieman is Bogles, and your only real hope is that you have a stellar hand (think guide eidolon and then loaded up on 1cmc), and they have a terrible one (no access to leyline or lifegain). You're going to be open to Blood Moon regardless of whether you have Wear//Tear or DRev, because you have to have a card to destroy it the turn they cast it and mana open to float W or G in order to accomplish it. I don't think Spreading Seas is worth trying to fight, either.

There are two situations where Tarn matters.
1. Pithing Needle and Surgical Extraction effects. Not many decks play these and that means it's not worth worrying about very much. Even if you do run into them, you don't care about them once you're at 3 lands. The only issue is when they play IoK on T1, see 3 copies of the same fetch, and then you're locked out of the game on T2. Oh well, sometimes your opponent shuts you down. I don't think it's worth spending the money to play Tarns to protect from this, but the reasoning to do it is sound and I would do it if the monetary cost were the same.
2. The "Tarn -> pass" play that isn't a typical Burn play. This only matters in situations where your opponent doesn't know you're on Burn. So, early in the tournament (before you're scouted), at lower tables (otherwise you're scouted), only when you have Tarn in hand and don't have a good T1 play and could play Bolt on their EoT, only against a deck that can give you the "fetch -> shock -> thoughtseize" play that you're hoping for, and you see where this is going. It's a narrow set of circumstances that I do not think is worth planning on. I'm also of the opinion that the "Tarn -> pass" play isn't even a good or desirable play for Burn. I'd rather come out of the gates swinging, even if it means I play Spike or Rift Bolt. Furthermore, I think that showing that you're on Burn can cause them to slow down their game by fetching tapped, and that's beneficial to you. Even if Tarn was the same price as Mesa, I wouldn't go out of my way to play Tarns for this purpose.
The real reason that Tarn gets played is that the people who play it already owned them. In almost every situation, all red fetches are identical from a game play perspective. If you own them, go for it. If you don't, it's a waste of money to go out of your way to play them.
So I had a bit of bad luck yesterday, 1-3 drop on the full Boros list. No enchantment removal, only Smash to Smithereens against artifacts.
Round 1 (1-2) was against Lantern control which isn't too bad, but unfortunately game 2 Leyline of Sanctity blocked all cards in my hand and opponent eventually got the lock on. Game 3 I had a good hand against Lantern, Guide/Spike/Firecraft/3 Eidolon/Fetch. 1 land and all the Eidolons would completely destroy the Lantern player. In 7 turns(!) I didn't draw a single land, and that was even without the Shredder effects(!).
Round 2 (2-0) against UR control I won, both games I was either too fast or stockpiled Burn spells so he couldn't counter them all.
Round 3 (1-2) against RW hatebears where I eventually lost game 3 because his only out was having a Direfleet Daredevil in hand (vial on 2) to take one of my spells from the GY and kill me with it, where if he didn't I would've won. Guess what..
Round 4 (0-2) came up against a relatively bad player playing his own Zoo list. I drew 3-4 lands in a row game 1, and game 2 stuck on having only Inspiring Vantage and eventually he just got his board filled and I got nothing. In about 8 turns I didn't draw 1 land, not one.
Here I dropped, x-3 (5 rounds) is no use of continueing, especially with how the day went. I just play the 19-lands list I always play. It was probably just 'one of those days' that you have, where your deck either gives you all the lands or none at all. Those happen.
Oh well, after dropping spent some time gaming, went out for dinner with my wife, walked along the riverside afterwards and watched a movie later on today, best time ever.
Bummer that you ran into some unfortunate luck, but it happens sometimes.
I can see the appeal of the hand you kept in game 3 against Lantern. I might have been tempted to do it, but it's tough keeping a hand so heavy in 2s. If I were the Lantern player, I probably would have been milling lands away. Leyline is the thing you're hoping not to see by playing without Wear//Tear or DRev. I think the risk is worth it. After having played that way and gotten burned (har har) doing it, would you do it again?
Hatebears decks can be rough in general.

April 2018 opposing hate analysis
The following is a lot of data that's tough to digest, but it might be helpful to you to know what kind of lifegain to expect at various times and what counterspells people are playing. This analysis comes from MTGGoldfish data with some cleaning procedure applied to it to try to clean up any bad deck names. I then go through these deck lists and find instances of "counter target", "lifelink", and "gain N life"/"gains N life" in the card text. On top of that, I search for Leyline of Sanctity, Oketra's Last Mercy, Chalice of the Void, Phyrexian Unlife, and Spellskite. The March 2018 deck population is 718 decks. Cards that show up less than 0.5% of the time are not printed, and I've also removed some cards that don't affect us like Disdainful Stroke and Ceremonious Rejection.

I can see the appeal of the hand you kept in game 3 against Lantern. I might have been tempted to do it, but it's tough keeping a hand so heavy in 2s. If I were the Lantern player, I probably would have been milling lands away. Leyline is the thing you're hoping not to see by playing without Wear//Tear or DRev. I think the risk is worth it. After having played that way and gotten burned (har har) doing it, would you do it again?

I would definitely play the list again, guess I was just unfortunate to run into Leyline. If it shows up again, or more/other enchantments that get in my way, I might switch back to RWg. I think Revelry beats Wear//Tear as it also does damage.
Isn't it the best feeling when this happens and you win anyway? It happened to me last year when I offered a draw when we were both 3-0 and he said the extra $5 was important to him and he wanted to play. He also said "I have a good Jund matchup", which was weird, because I've never played a Jund deck in my life, but apparently he thought I was on Jund and he thought he could steamroll me. Turns out that removal.dec, and specifically Searing Blaze, wrecked his Elves deck and it wasn't even close. It happened again a few months ago with the same "nah, the $5 is important to me" story, and they were playing a RUG control deck and I beat them too.
Also it's nice to win a match without your opponent even getting off the ground.

I think you're running too many copies of Searing Blood. Personally, I prefer Grim Lavamancer. Grafdigger's Cage seems unnecessary if you already run 2 copies of Rest in Peace. Cutting one cage and one searing effect for two Exquisite Firecraft seems to be where you want to be. Exquisite Firecraft also works against Eldrazi Tron (which gives you another way to play through double Chalice of the Void) and Death's Shadow (which finishes them off of their already low life total without them being able to stabilize with Stubborn Denial). This sounds weird but there was a discussion about it a while ago and that's what people said to run.
Kor Firewalker seems good against Mardu, since they only have 2 copies of Fatal Push. I've never considered it, but it seems like a smart thing to do. since it also blocks their threats too.
I prefer when they ask for you to concede and you beat them instead. Granted it happens less at the FNM level, but hey we're talking hypotheticals.
I mentioned it a while back. It's probably good to have 2 copies in the sideboard or something. The reason I like having a card like this is that it's always good to have some generic burn spells in the sideboard when I sideboard other things (like Searing Blaze) and I have nothing else to side in. Also, so people have been running it over Skullcrack, but you probably need to go up to 2 copies of Stomping Ground.
I've always been of the opinion that you don't have to go creature heavy to make AC playable. It's not as if it deals 2 and then might deal more. It deals at least as much as Skullcrack and then might deal more.
I’ve been playing RWg the last 6 months with success but was just wondering whether the green splash for revelry is still worth it, or go full on Boros. I’d play Smash to Smithereens for artifact removal, actually mostly just playing Elconquistador’s list.
Just, is it worth it, leaving yourself open to Blood Moon/Spreading Seas/Leyline in order to play a more straight list? I know it’s just a matter of test and see but was just looking for opinions.
Playing a 40-man tournament this Saturday with decks going all directions, hence my question.

The reason to diversify is to protect yourself from things like pithing needle that target a single card by name. If you have twelve fetches of three types, so like 4 foothills 4 tarn 4 mires, and they play turn 1 needle on mire, that stops more cards than if you had a 3/3/3/3 split with three of the aforementioned plus three mesas.
Ultimately, though, this is such an infrequent occurrence that you could go years without ever running into this problem. It is more theoretical optimization than anything else.
I do think that it is worth it to play RW without enchantment removal in a generalized meta. The big enchantment boogieman is Bogles, and your only real hope is that you have a stellar hand (think guide eidolon and then loaded up on 1cmc), and they have a terrible one (no access to leyline or lifegain). You're going to be open to Blood Moon regardless of whether you have Wear//Tear or DRev, because you have to have a card to destroy it the turn they cast it and mana open to float W or G in order to accomplish it. I don't think Spreading Seas is worth trying to fight, either.
There are two situations where Tarn matters.
1. Pithing Needle and Surgical Extraction effects. Not many decks play these and that means it's not worth worrying about very much. Even if you do run into them, you don't care about them once you're at 3 lands. The only issue is when they play IoK on T1, see 3 copies of the same fetch, and then you're locked out of the game on T2. Oh well, sometimes your opponent shuts you down. I don't think it's worth spending the money to play Tarns to protect from this, but the reasoning to do it is sound and I would do it if the monetary cost were the same.
2. The "Tarn -> pass" play that isn't a typical Burn play. This only matters in situations where your opponent doesn't know you're on Burn. So, early in the tournament (before you're scouted), at lower tables (otherwise you're scouted), only when you have Tarn in hand and don't have a good T1 play and could play Bolt on their EoT, only against a deck that can give you the "fetch -> shock -> thoughtseize" play that you're hoping for, and you see where this is going. It's a narrow set of circumstances that I do not think is worth planning on. I'm also of the opinion that the "Tarn -> pass" play isn't even a good or desirable play for Burn. I'd rather come out of the gates swinging, even if it means I play Spike or Rift Bolt. Furthermore, I think that showing that you're on Burn can cause them to slow down their game by fetching tapped, and that's beneficial to you. Even if Tarn was the same price as Mesa, I wouldn't go out of my way to play Tarns for this purpose.
The real reason that Tarn gets played is that the people who play it already owned them. In almost every situation, all red fetches are identical from a game play perspective. If you own them, go for it. If you don't, it's a waste of money to go out of your way to play them.

Round 1 (1-2) was against Lantern control which isn't too bad, but unfortunately game 2 Leyline of Sanctity blocked all cards in my hand and opponent eventually got the lock on. Game 3 I had a good hand against Lantern, Guide/Spike/Firecraft/3 Eidolon/Fetch. 1 land and all the Eidolons would completely destroy the Lantern player. In 7 turns(!) I didn't draw a single land, and that was even without the Shredder effects(!).
Round 2 (2-0) against UR control I won, both games I was either too fast or stockpiled Burn spells so he couldn't counter them all.
Round 3 (1-2) against RW hatebears where I eventually lost game 3 because his only out was having a Direfleet Daredevil in hand (vial on 2) to take one of my spells from the GY and kill me with it, where if he didn't I would've won. Guess what..
Round 4 (0-2) came up against a relatively bad player playing his own Zoo list. I drew 3-4 lands in a row game 1, and game 2 stuck on having only Inspiring Vantage and eventually he just got his board filled and I got nothing. In about 8 turns I didn't draw 1 land, not one.
Here I dropped, x-3 (5 rounds) is no use of continueing, especially with how the day went. I just play the 19-lands list I always play. It was probably just 'one of those days' that you have, where your deck either gives you all the lands or none at all. Those happen.
Oh well, after dropping spent some time gaming, went out for dinner with my wife, walked along the riverside afterwards and watched a movie later on today, best time ever.

The following is a lot of data that's tough to digest, but it might be helpful to you to know what kind of lifegain to expect at various times and what counterspells people are playing. This analysis comes from MTGGoldfish data with some cleaning procedure applied to it to try to clean up any bad deck names. I then go through these deck lists and find instances of "counter target", "lifelink", and "gain N life"/"gains N life" in the card text. On top of that, I search for Leyline of Sanctity, Oketra's Last Mercy, Chalice of the Void, Phyrexian Unlife, and Spellskite. The March 2018 deck population is 718 decks. Cards that show up less than 0.5% of the time are not printed, and I've also removed some cards that don't affect us like Disdainful Stroke and Ceremonious Rejection.
New developments since previous update: I've added Burrenton Forge-Tender, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Withchbane Orb, and Meddling Mage to the list of cards to search for.
