It will do some work at least! And they lose some tempo play.
I'm a bit more fan of Contaminated Ground than Evil Presenceor, because of the drain effect. That's a good thing in GB Elves. Moreover, the CMC of 2 is fine I think. You don't need this type of card on turn 1. You better play out your dorks T1.
Thanks Tim. I'm still tweaking sideboard for GB. Not enough spots. Lifegain, GY hate, Combo hate, anti control, artifact/enchantment removal and Tron/Valulut hate....what would you prioritize?
Also, Clancaller has been great in testing for me...It's such a good card!

Damping sphere has been really good for me against Tron and Storm. Im tempted to play chord of calling for more of a creature heavy sideboard to keep the deck fast but I still fancy Lead The Stampede over chord. It's a tough one.
I took down the Modern PPTQ of my LGS yesterday with G/B Elves. Finished second place with 5-1 (300$ store credit) after 6 rounds.
Played against Mono-U Tron, Burn (my only lost), Mardu Pyromancer, Blue Devotion, B/W Eldrazi Taxes and Griselbrand Reanimator. Top8 against R/G Land Destruction, Mardu Pyromancer and U/W Spirit.
I was lucky to dodge every Mono-G Tron and Jeskai Control during the tournament.
Elvish Canceller was the MVP during both of my matchup against Mardu Pyromancer. I will post my deck list later.

Really seems to be a common theme that those who have played with the Clancaller believe it is a lot better than it first appeared it would be.
Reading the messages it seams that people that are happy with clancaller are also happy to have avoided Tron/Jeskay control
Aren't we always happy to avoid those decks? Even with Visionary over Clancaller? I think Clancaller improves the Tron matchup by making us faster. Jeskai control is tough, even with Visionaries over Clancaller. I'm currently running 4 Clancaller and 2 Visionaries and it feels perfect.
I'm trying to decide on grave hate for my BG Elves deck and have been heavily considering running Leyline of the Void because of how well it shuts down Mardu, Hollow One, etc. It's not an easy card for an opponent to remove. Also, if it doesn't show up in our opening hand, we have a better chance of being able to cast it while it's still relevant and effective than anyone else. Spellbomb and Relic just aren't hard enough hate sometimes. Thoughts? if I were to run it, should I try 3x or 4x copies?
Also, what are y'all's thoughts on running Elves of Deep Shadow instead of Nettle Sentinel I didn't care for the idea at first but it has really grown on me. Having 11x dorks and so many sources of B mana is very appealing. I think it sacrifices some of our most explosive plays for added resilience and an increase in keepable openers. And even with sacrificing "our most explosive plays" (i.e., Heritage Druid/Nettle Sentinel shenanigans), those are rare enough as it is that I don't feel it as much of a loss.
Thoughts? I appreciate the input in advance.

I am running Elves of Deep Shadow over Nettle Sentinel. It's nice to have the extra dorks for mana. I haven't missed Sentinel so far through testing. I'm also using 3 Garruk Wildspeaker over Lead The Stampede. It's nice to go Garruk, untap 2 lands, play another creature then next turn -4 for 'Creatures gain trample and +3/+3'. It's essentially another 3 Ezuri's in thr deck, which is nice. I do side them out for Stampede against heavy removal decks. Garruk is fast....Also Clancaller has been great. Much better than Visionary in my opinion.
I would never Side Out Elite.
Even against heavy removal Decks it always leaves something behind.
Unfortunately you do have to compare them, because they're at the same spot on the curve. You can't compare it with archdruid functionally because again the CMC is different. If a new 1 drop came along, it would be compared to the one drops because in a deck like this you don't change the curve. We're not comparing clancaller to elite because its too important, as you have mentioned and don't forget that synergy with heritage druid.

Would Evil Presenceor Contaminated Ground be any good?

By the way, Jack Kendall ran 2 leagues with Elvish Clancaller and posted them on Youtube. Results seems pretty good

GBelcher, BDevotion, GWRNaya landfall, UWBEsper Miracles
Also, Clancaller has been great in testing for me...It's such a good card!
Therefore for me the next cards ar no brainers (in no particularly order): Essence Warden, Reclamation Sage, Scavenging Ooze, Stain the Mind, Shapers' Sanctuary
I don't play any specific Tron hate. I simply race them But I could be wrong about that.

Thanks for the tips Tim. My sideboard atm is:

2 Essence Warden
2 Shapers' Sanctuary
2 Fracturong Gust
2 Relic of Progenitus
4 Damping Sphere

Well done Bouda. Can't wait to see the decklist.
Its been great discomute. The 6 mana ability has been useful too. There's been a number of times Ive used it to put another clancaller on the board.
Freyalise is not Modern legal.

I think he was responding to the EDH commander options.
