My favorite take on this deck is still your old Lingering Taxes deck with Mirran Crusader, etc. The success of all these similar lists tells me I can bring that to the table again...with a few new pieces of tech, such as Concealed Courtyard and Thraben Inspector. If I felt confident that King Kitty is playable in the current meta, I'd drop a pair of those in here and consider pushing Champion to the main just so I can abuse all the token-based lifegain.

“Modern has provided us a non-rotating format that is far more accessible than Legacy or Vintage, but still retains many of the qualities that people enjoy in those formats—such as a more stable metagame, the ability to play and tweak the same deck week after week, and simply a much more powerful card pool than Standard.”

I don't get why multiple people have been talking about the most recent deck lists as if its something different than the norm. If you go back and look through the old primers this deck is 90% the same as what was being played back then. Swap Aven Mindcensor/Kitchen Finks for Mirrin Crusader and boom same deck. You have to go way back to when people were playing student of warfare and 3x Linvalla maindeck to consider it different.
Edit: Have you ever tilted so hard that you thoughtsiezed an opponent's wilt leaf after they mulled to 5?

You are absolutely right. The actual Mono W D&T is mostly similar to previous version except for Crusader and Inspector but that's because the core plan (LD and taxing)of the deck is as effective as always with all the decks running with greedy mana bases and lots of cheap spells.
Our toy doesn't change too much is the meta whose turns around a lot. The Jund subsitution for DS decks is the real deal. The rest of the meta is more or less the same (except for the banned ones): Affinity, Storm Version X.0, Burn, Tron Version X.0, Scapeshift decks.
That tilt must go around the legendary level XDDDDD
@ltglitter. The tilt level on maximum. I keep a folder on my comp of all the salty comments. I was going to make a twitter account around the MTG salt but decided against it.

Like I said before, the meta is balanced enough to be at a point where we don't need the tricks we've had to adopt from other decks to address unbalanced metas. We can go back to doing what we do. What I'm trying to figure out is what the best things are to adopt from

I've been testing W D&T lately in preparation for the upcoming RPTQ Modern season and I think it's the best version at the moment since it has a great angle to attack Death's Shadow and Eldrazi Tron. Even though Mirran Crusader is a great card against shadow, I think what really bothers the deck are Thalia and Arbiter. Shadow's decks are fully based on mana efficiency and a low count of lands. Crusader is a great top deck (so he doesn't get discarded away) and but the original tandem are the ones who light the way. I haven't played against Eldrazi Tron yet but a assume that Ghost Quarters and Tec Edges are good enough to keep them off their big plays.
Robots has always been a difficult matchup, almost impossible to beat game one. I've asked some friends on Robots and what really bothers them and they tell me "Stony Silence on second turn is the way to beat Robots. Not Kataki, not sunlance, go for the Stony Silence". I think I've been able to steal a couple of matches versus robots and it' all comes down to this.
Creature matches have also seem difficult and I've going back and forward on the wrath effects on the sideboard for this. Dusk/Dawn seems like a better first option since it can be turned to a one side wrath, but sometimes you wanna take out some creatures on the other side that dodge the 3 power. Like Spell Quellers, Voices or Robots again. I've been playing 1 Dusk and 1 Wrath of God but I think that at some point I'll go for 2 Dusks and hope that these two power creatures can be out powered by Resto.
I've really liked the couple of Copters instead of the Serra Avengers. It helps to dig through sideboard, get rid off lands (Flooding is one of the most commons way to lose) and dodges wraths like Anger of the Gods on sideboarded matches. I thought it would be too vulnerable since Bolt and Push take him, but again Thalia and Leonin get always on the way or require to be answered first. I've also been trying Selfless Spirit instead of BFT and I've liked it too. Burn being the only reason to lean towards BFT but I've added some Kitchen Finks on the sideboard that can help in this match.
Living End has also been a dificult matchup for me. Almost lost on game 1 and on post sideboarded matches it all comes down to sb hate. Currently running 4 Relics but also wondering if a split with Rest in Peaces is better.
Bring in forge tenders for games 2 and 3, they block most of their stuff, can be put into the graveyard whenever you want and stop random anger of the gods that people may be running for one reason or another. Best thing you can do vs. living end is play a turn 2 Thalia into turn 3 blade splicer.
Decided to try the list that got second in Vegas and first in invitational. Going in I want a fan of inspector but figured I would give it a chance. Major changes were I don't own wayfare or canopy and I want a fan of a singleton avenger. So I added 2 smuggler's copter that I wanted to test as well. Inspector and smuggler did surprisingly well especially against midrange style decks where the replacement and filter were very relevant. Revoker like usual was hit or miss so depends on meta. On Friday I went 4-1 beating jund, ad nauseum, uw control and grixis control losing to Naya burn. Monday I went 3-1 beating boggles, grixis shadow, and burn losing to blue steel.
About Ethersworn Canonist: Can i activate my Via in response a violent outburs or another combo-card to stop them? I'm thinking to use '-1 copies in sideboard because my local meta has a few combo decks (Livind End, Ad Nauseam, Storm...)
@About match ups: i have a big trouble when i face affinitys. Even using SS ( usually my opp Wear/Tear in the next turn)
thanks guys

I love Mentor but it not having value when it hits the battle field makes it bad. Bygone Bishop may be a better option too, but I still think the effect is too slow. Tireless Tracker does almost the same thing as these two but with lands. I know you said Mono white, But its just an all around better card. it grows and on turn 4 gets instant value. Thrabin Inspector kind of is doing what Mentor would, but at a much lower CMC. So as enticing as it looks, I don't think its what you want to be playing.
Hello fellow taxmen/taxwomen! I've loved playing D&T for about 2 years, more specifically GW D&T. Ever since Ramunap Excavator was spoiled, the gears in my head have been whirling, trying to figure out how to get this card into the build. Here's a rough sketch of what I've been tinkering with. What do you all think? Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Yes, in fact I did this earlier tonight.

It needs a lot of work, but this thing feels really good right now.

I have two questions. One that may have already be asked and the other is a really subjective one.
The first question is : Against jund-ish deck, do we sideboard out aether vial or not?
The other question is what is your favorite plains to put in the Mono white dnt?
my vials go out when I face a jund-style deck. Even in blue decks because they tend to side out their counterspells. One reason is that they grind much better than me and I bring some non creature spells like rest in peace. My favorite plains is foil akh full art plains. But foil #333 Odyssey is still one of my favorites
