Seconded! Been checking in on this thread sporadically and I'm pretty excited to build this deck!
Dumb Question: Why not run any Wastes MB? Since the deck is practically tri-colored, Blood Moon seems like it could cripple half the deck if Mind Stone or Seal of Primordium isn't drawn. It could also be helpful again a Path or FoR. I may be overlooking something super obvious, but I'm just curious. I've been playing E-Tron for awhile and just want to shift gears to something with a littler more versatility and answers.
Also, has anyone tested with All is Dust? Does this card do any good? With even a single Temple and a mana dork, I can see this beingg devastating on Turn 5 again any non-colorless deck.
First, we don't have a proactive way to tutor up Wastes, like E-Tron has with map and such. So it probably won't show up in the times we need it, and it takes away a land flex slot (we are really tight on those atm), so it's hard to run, even as a one-off.
All is Dust is a good card but it isn't amazing for us. I have tested it, and topdecking it against Jund, Ponza and alikes is just a win, simple as that. Against Humans (presumably our worst match-up besides Ad Nauseam), it's too slow to work. I'm running one in the sideboard atm but I think I'll return to Anger of the Gods (the double red is a pain sometimes tho) and Kozilek's Return as sweepers.

Talisman of Impulse, Raging Ravine, Eldrazi Mimic, Domri Rade, Wastes, SSG, and Basilisk Collar are also worthwhile options some have used.
Wolf-Run kills Phantasmal Image.
Key Weakness: Blood Moon. A couple of Mind Stones isn't going to be enough to fend it off. Sideboard options
are limited if you don't have a Noble/Bird/Mind Stone in play before Blood Moon is played. This weakness has
purported kept some pros away from playing the deck.
Key Weakness: None of the creatures on the Stock List have evasion, though the 4 Smashers have trample, and the 4 Obligators
can keep a creature from blocking.
Key Strength: The "Stock List" has a whopping 14 cards that can be played on turn 1, so the interaction/game plan starts immediately.
Key Strength: The "Stock List" has a whopping 12 Haste creatures which is awesome for recovering from Wrath or killing planeswalkers.
Key Strength: The manabase is pretty good, and not as painful as some 3-color fetch manabases.
Key Strength: Obligator gives the deck a uniquish angle of attack on the metagame. It can kill opposing Death Shadows, for example.
Other Notable: The deck does not use the graveyard, so SB options that kill all graveyards can be used.
Hi
Did anyone try Rhonas the indomitable? I think a big indistructible guy is good. The attac limitation is easy to overcome. Also is a good target for BBE.
What do you think?
1: mardu pyromancer 2-1
G1 I kept a bit slow hand but he was very very fast to flood the board with tokens.
G2 Koz return clear the way for my dudes
G3 was perfect for me. turn 1 temple mimic, turn 2 temple TNS, turn 3 smasher.
2: a strange mono black control deck 2-0
G1 I almost died from an ensnaring bridge but hopefully I choose to double the kessig wolf run. she allowed my bop to pass the bridge for the win.
G2 he slowed me with some discards but didn't find the bridge so reshaper and obligator did the work.
3: mono blue merfolk 2-1
G1 he started like a rocket and literarly flooded me
G2 and G3 anger of the gods was MVP winning me both games
4: jeskay control 0-2
G1 I start good but not enoght to close the game before jace coming.
G2 he bolt/pte my early creatures. then he fliped azcanta that filled his hand with counters and I didn't see any cavern.
5: foretold living end 2-0
G1 a turn 3 TNS removed his cascade spell and he didn't draw another in time
G2 an early scavenging ooze removed many of his creature from grave so he was not able to be really dangerous.
Beyond the good result the deck was really really fun.
Now I am questioning how to find the cavern against counter dense deck, because it seemed they are extremely hard to beat without. maybe some sylvan scrying somewhere could help. Did anyone try something this way?

I was playing 4 Caverns so I could find them easier, and there really is no drawback since if you play against something not running counters you can use it for Dorks or BBE's to fix your mana. 4 of them plus 4 Ancient Stirrings should be more than enough to find them. Adding things like Sylvan Scrying will dilute the deck from its gameplan. It is how the deck was originally played and it died off hard.
I replaced oozes in main deck for Ahn-Crop Crasher and I'm really liking. It has haste, a good sinergy with BBE, is castable with bloodmoon in play and his exert could be a "removal" for one blocker.
Hi guys did you see the new infernal judgment from m19? It should become a huge problem... Do you think it's time to include (maybe into sb) more colored creatures? Maybe something like rhonas to switch with smashers?
On paper it doesn't look like it shuts down the deck in that big of a way. They still have to discard to hit reality smasher or blast a TKS with it in response to the ETB trigger. You lose a bit of value on reshaper but aside from that I don't think I'd stress it too much.
It's also a very narrow card, and I can't see most decks devoting more than like 2 SB slots to it
Sweepers - a tough sideboarding decision for this deck.
I like Kozilek's Return, but you could cast 2 of them and still not kill humans with +1 counters. The same goes for Anger/Slagstorm/etc. All is Dust seems slow, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. However, it is the only sweeper that can reliably wipe the board. Engineered Explosives would be the best balance of versatility and speed, but at $80 a pop - I dont feel like adding them to my 75, especially when I know I won't draw one unless it is off a BBE cascade. Seriously though, I am not putting any X spells in a BBE deck, even if its the sideboard.
So after all of that, does anyone have a recommendation for a sideboard sweeper card vs. Humans? Has anyone tried Ratchet Bomb - and if so, is it too slow? Thanks!

It doesn't do anything better than Terminate or Path to Exile, while being more narrow than the listed before. Yes, the gain life clause is more troublesome for an aggro deck like ours, but I wouldn't be so worried for it to change the core of the deck. It hits half of our deck, but the other half could be potentially dangerous for our opponent to have a narrow answer in their hand. It's more for big creatures like Tron or a Vintage removal for Workshops to me.

I like Kozilek's Return and EE because they synergyze well with Ancient Stirrings. Having more options to hit with it makes it extremely relevant. I think Kozilek's Return is more Affinity, CoCo and Pyromancer-esque aimed. Being instant, it can kill manlands, Etched Champion, all the annoying chumpblockers, combo creatures in instant speed, etc. EE has a proven versatility I don't think I have to explain it here, even if it's sometimes a bad hit with BBE. It is definitively better than Ratchet Bomb.
The problem with Humans is that their creatures outvalue ours. Humans is a really bad match for us, so if you wanna commit to it you should try cards like Torpor Orb and alike, something dedicated. I have tried All Is Dust and the only matchups I think its worth to have is Jund and sometimes Ponza, not even Mardu Pyromancer.

@pablo Thanks for the feedback. I also agree that Kozilek's Return is the best sweeper if you don't consider humans. Torpor seems like a great shutdown card, but it is so narrow. But that is such a rare deck still. I have tested 1x Thragtusk main with surprisingly good results - the combination of life and resilience is great for midrange grind, burn, and even reflector mage. It leaves behind a 3/3 and the 5 life is enough usually to help sustain you until you cast it again a turn later. I am considering trying a 2nd Thragtusk out of the sideboard.
Torpor Orb sounds like the best tech vs. humans, but does it help against anything else? Modern meta seems too wide to bring a sideboard card only good against 1 deck to a large GP.
I have read some comments on Nest Invader . Isn't Scion summoner infinitely better? The difference between 2 and 3 drop on this deck isn't relevant imo, the goal is always to cast a 3cmc on turn 2, also the scion is a 1/1 and we're able to fetch him with stirrings.
I think invader is better exactly because of the 2cmc, so castable when out of temple. This (like stone or talisman bdw) allow to ramp even if the lands are not so good as we hope. On the contrary, if the temple spots I always prefer to cast a reshaper or an obligartor instead of summoner.
I would like to know your opinion on Vile Redeemer. Just as a one or two off, its at minimum an unexpected way to battle board wipes. Also can be a surprise block since I don't believe people are expecting it.
This is iteresting... The question is where to find the space for it? I don't think it worth a slot main deck, But if you are playing in meta full of wraths you can try 2x in side
Curious for those who've played this deck more...if ancient stirrings gets banned does RG version just stop being relevant or can it reinvent itself a bit like death shadow did with probe ban? I was looking around and most people still want/predict stirrings banned if anything in an upcoming banlist update

The deck would take a big hit since Stirrings is really its main way of direct card advantage and consistency. I'd imagine it would fall out of favor pretty quickly unless Adventurous Impulse can do the work, but seeing 2 cards less is a big deal. I'd say best not to think about it unless it happens, and if you want to talk about the likelihood of a Stirrings ban then head over to the State of Modern thread.
i've tested a couple of cards in the two flex slots.
Starting with 2x Scavenging Ooze i came across 2x Endbringer which couldn't convince me.
The last days i was testing a one-of Chandra, Torch of Defiance and a single Magma Jet which totally convinced me.
THey filter, they burn and they pan out in case of curve-wise pattern.
Maybe you give 'em a shot too, both pieces pull there weight
Kitchen Finks post sideboard games, Thought-Knot Seer if you can find it should do the trick. Burn is an even match we should not mind much having specific slots in our sideboard. You can run Thragtusk even if you need more options. That's about it I guess.

2-1 vs Artifact Prison: won the first game quickly. The second was a long drawn out loss he hid behind multiple ensnaring bridges wielding jars and witchbane orbs. The third game was quick like the first one finding a threat and artifact hate early was key.
1-2 vs Affinity: The third game was bad kept a 2 land Bird obligator bolt natural state hand after a mull to 6 drew 2 bolts and a dismember but never saw a land he whipflared me on turn 3 and it was over.
2-1 vs Jund: Pulse of murasa was very good here with TKS won me the game.
2-1 vs Mardu Pyromancer: close games but my threats were better than his and again pulse of murasa targeting TKS was a game ender.
The deck seemed fine I made some questionable plays. Haven't played the deck in almost 3 nonths.
As an added note I played against a Grixis Pyromancer deck and out of 6 matches we split. No sideboarding though.
