the deck is really fun to play and works pretty well now that graveyard hate is on the low.
for now i'm playtesting the glimpse/chill version, i plan to straight swap memory sluice with merfolk secretkeeper.
new list popping out from 5-0 results are now using haunted dead. i try to avoid lotleth troll here to simplify the manabase, the deck already hurts due to the fetches to trigger hedron crab, yes the deck has creeping chill but it still really hurts.
Okay I've tested both builds now and I gotta say, Glimpse/Chill seems wayyyyy stronger than the Brutality build. What worries me is that if your opponent has unanswered grave hate the deck is reeeeeeally bad. The Brutality build can still fight with big Trolls, but it's also just so much slower/less consistent. Would be really nice to find a healthy middle ground
I wonder if it would be possible to come up with a build with slightly more green? We would lose some explosiveness for sure, but we would gain Force of Vigor in the sideboard for fighting Leyline (although the current Force of Negation package is probably better against everything besides turn 0 Leyline) and Lotleth Troll would help in the matchups where they get enough big creatures on the board to block our Vines for free.

This was a large reason for my dislike of Sultai builds. I built a Jund list earlier on here with Living End that is zombie focused. A big reason for not wanting to abandon the Jund colors is because Force of Vigor is a must have in graveyard decks! Honestly, I think Force of Vigor is a big reason Hogaak got banned in the first place, but no one wants to consider how powerful a free destroy 2 artifact or enchantments is...
I definitely agree however that FoV needs to be a must have in Vengevine decks!
I mean, Sultai can run FoV as well? Jund doesn't offer anything extra there. And yeah, I'm really not a fan of your Living End build. It seems like you're jumping through a lot of hoops just to force "zombie tribal" and LE into the same deck
And no, Hogaak got banned because the deck was just absolutely busted lol
it would be hard to squeeze a few number of green cards to support force of vigor in the glimpse/chill build, i think even an additional 4-green cards won't help much in casting force of vigor for free.
the build that can better support force of vigor would be the brutality build, lotleth troll / satyr wayfinder and if you want you can also swap gurmag angler for hooting mandrills for extra green support, it's still big and has evasion, this won't affect much of gravecrawler zombie requirement since we have plentiful of zombie creature, the only downside for this build is it's slower than the glimpse build, if we don't get an explosive turn-1 then it really is too slow. if only we can have stitcher's supplier 5-8 to have more T1 plays that can jumpstart our graveyard.
In classic Dredgevine fashion I'm gonna Necro this thread. Has anyone tried Ox of Agonas? Two mana to dump your hand draw 3 from the Graveyard seems really good then add a 5/3 beatstick. Overall seems like a good enabler in the late game. Also is red out as viable after the Faithless looting ban? Looking to update my deck.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.

hi! anyone here still with the deck? what's your wishlist for MH2? hopefully we get putrid imp, I also think of careful study but this will be a big change for the deck and I don't have any blue shocks or fetch atm

Also, is there a discord server anywhere?
i'm also looking for discord or any article about this but only found this which talked about it a little.
