Won against Sun Titan control 2:0, Grixis (aka bye) control with Vision, Boom//Bust and Goblin Dark-Dwellers combo 2:0, Nahiri 2:0, RG Tron 2:1 (he 3for1-ed me with K. Return then 4for1-ed me with Firespout so I gave up at 23 life against Thragtusk and empty board, maybe I should continue playing at that point but I was disgusted; rolled him game 3).
At 4:0 I offer a draw and to play for first place prize but he laughed at my face so we played. He was on RG Titan ramp (BoP, Arbor Elf, Utopia Sprawl, Blood Moon, Bolt, R and G Titans and, of course, a Bonfire of the Damned playset...).
I play Tidebinders in the main so they + 2 Spreading Seas on 2 Utopia enchanted Forests made sure I win before big stuff comes out.
Then I mulled to four. It was close but no cigar.
In game 3, with 2 Master of Waves in hand, I forgot to tick up Vial from one to two .
He has quick Inferno Titan that dismantles my board. I try to slow him down with Harbinger and Tidebinder as sacrificial lambs just to survive on 1 life before Masters took the central stage, killed his Titan and my opponent eventually.
"Just" one missed Vial trigger could have been a difference between winning the tournament and sliding down.
Luckily, Master of Waves is just bonkers and I am first at the moment at League Ranking, 4 tournaments remaining until final showdown with big prizes
I have a Modern WMCQ next week, wonder what should my deck be...
Here's the current list i'm currently running. Been testing out a couple of Twincast's in the main, card has been proven to be quite surprising. especially fun against any Coco deck, especially if they tap out for Collected Company, and ya hit a lord and say a cursecatcher.
Also why did you decide on no Dismembers and Steel Sabotage over Hurkyl's Recall?
73 people played in the League so far, not easy to metagame against all of them, but there is tendency from good players to gravitate towards 3-color grind decks like Nahiri, Grixis, Mardu, Jund and Junk, with Tron and UW control being the trumps against those 5. Batterskull is there to just win against Wall of Omens-Snapcaster-Path-Colonnade decks that try to "ramp" me with Paths. To be fair, I never attacked once with it and is probably too cute
All those grind decks (there is no shortage of Bolt, Path, Kol. Command, Lightning Helix, Verdict, Anger and Snapcaster in my tournaments) almost destroyed all Affinity decks (no tear in my eye) and there are no Lantern or Thopter decks, so I decided to counter Oblivion Stone, Wurmcoil, Expedition Map and Ensnaring Bridge instead of bouncing them. My setup for Affinity is ok-ish as is and Sabotage can counter or be another Snag against robots. To be fair again, never resolved Steel Sabotage either.
Other players, since there is very little combo aside from Living End and Melira, are trying to win quickly with Zoo, Rdw and Suicide. This is why I have to play 4 Harbinger and 2 Tidebinder main, with Snags instead of Dismembers. It worked for my meta.
But, things will have to change for WMCQ this Sunday. I expect more big mana decks like Tron and Scapeshift and sideboard will have to be adjusted with fourth Edge, third Negate or first Disdainful Stroke or something.
Main works so there are no changes in that regard.
Selfless Soul is interesting, but I don't think it's enough to justify the splash just yet. I predict that you'll see it in some Modern 75s going forward, though (most notably Abzan Company, Soul Sisters, and perhaps even WB Tokens).
I have struggled so bad lately against Jund. I just can't catch a break! Can anyone help me on what we need to do in this matchup? Also, in the matchup with Soul Sisters. We just need to race as fast as possible too, right?

As far as the Jund matchup goes... I haven't struggled against it overly much in a while, but it depends on your exact 75. Post some decklists and we'll see how we can help. Mostly, though, the problem cards are Damnation (postboard) and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, which you can try and address via Tectonic Edge or counterspells and Dismember or Spreading Seas, respectively.
