Can someone explain in detail how the interaction between Displacer and MoW works? As far as stack order and state based actions?
Its best explained in the rules' example (704.4) :
Unlike triggered abilities, state-based actions pay no attention to what happens during the
resolution of a spell or ability. Example: A player controls a creature with the ability “This creature’s power and
toughness are each equal to the number of cards in your hand” and casts a spell whose
effect is “Discard your hand, then draw seven cards.” The creature will temporarily have
toughness 0 in the middle of the spell’s resolution but will be back up to toughness 7 when
the spell finishes resolving. Thus the creature will survive when state-based actions are
checked. In contrast, an ability that triggers when the player has no cards in hand goes on
the stack after the spell resolves, because its trigger event happened during resolution.
Eldrazi Displacer's ability is exactly like this effect.
MoW leaves & re-enters as part of the same ability, so no state-based actions are checked, thus "older" tokens do not die by having 0 toughness.
I was thinking about Grand Architect. He might be in good position against Kozilek's Return while still pumping our tokens when they Dismember/Path the Master of Waves.
Then there is option for Phyrexian Metamorph (Adept into Architect, tap both immediately to have a copy of anything on the battlefield). Or just 3 mana Clone that doesn't die to Displacer.
Admittedly it's hard to seperate thinking about Grand Architect from Wurmcoil or equipment, but the idea of the 3rd toughness beats out Merfolk Soverign or Kira in theory. Interesting overall. Wonder what else this could lead to.
Haven't played it yet, but it looks like the type of match where we are racing. I imagine Cursecatcher is good here, and I would bring in Swan Song/Negate. Harbinger of the Tides can also bounce Kiki in response to the Angel blinking. Tidebinder can tap Kiki down permanently (watch for an Angel blink though) as well as Voice and such.
Straight race on Game 1. Try to land a Seas effect so that you can dodge their Wall of Roots, Wall of Omens, and other dedicated blockers, and then try to swing for 20 before Restoration Angel and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror-Breaker get you. Games 2-3, you side in more Seas effects (if you have them) along with Dispel to try and shut off the value chains.
...This reminds me, Grafdigger's Cage is probably pretty nice in this meta. It doesn't get Eldrazi, but it does get all the decks relying on Chord of Calling and/or Collected Company to hang with the Eldrazi, and it turns off Snapcaster Mage as a bonus. I'll add that one to the list.
Affinity is the #1 deck other than the various iterations of Eldrazi, so I'd say it's still relevant. It also shuts down Infect, which has managed to carve out a niche in this meta as well.
Personally I would not play Chalice as hate for either Affinity or Infect. Sure it works if you're on the play, but it's awful on the draw and this format is too fast for situations like that. The format has also adapted to play against Chalice. Gut Shot seems so much stronger when the meta is dominated by Affinity, Infect, Ux Eldrazi, and Chord decks, and is great on the play and draw.
with 6 tron decks and 3-4 eldrazi, i was wondering. could pithing needle in the side naming karn or ugin work.. getting to the point were I am seeing T4 tron to much, and I feel fish my be the only thing to somewhat combat the eldrazi at this point.
I have mentioned before that i was having trouble in my meta with ensnaring bridges and now there are even more of it, even Affinity with it. knightfall and abzan company sometimes chord with ghostly prison and sometimes worship
so i made this deck for all this artifacts and enchantments please tell me what you masters think and how i can improve it.
9 white sources is way too low, and as it has been repeated it's not worth it. Chalice screws with your Paths and SC. The single Mana Leak is way out of place.
Looks like the powers that be may make the Eldrazi decks a lot less powerful sooner than we think...I'm thinking temple and eye go...thoughts?
A) It'll be one or the other. Not both.
B) He's saying that they currently do NOT plan on banning anything until the next B&R update... which is not until SOI releases.
So, to put a positive spin on this...we know now that if you're going to a large event before the next B&R, prep as if Eldrazi will be there in the numbers it has been. No risk of it becoming banned and having to change our deck/SB last minute to combat a completely different (Eldrazi-less) meta.

Probably not. It's a shot in the dark..you're better off running another tec edge/GQ/sea's effect. Those at least fit into the fish gameplan. You could needle Karn then get trounced by Ugin exiling your board
