I like where you're going with Claws, but I was actually looking up the other day some copies of Banefire for the Shadow matchups out of the board!
I played in a 4 round tournament last night and had Claws for lethal (and for x>5) two games! Another game where Claws was 9 but my opponent at 10 -- sort of indicating that Claws is a great mana dump when Kessig'ing just isn't an option.
Banefire, while avoiding counterspells, struggles with not ramping you -- which I think is the draw to Claws.
Kibler played a Claws deck in standard and one of the draws was that you could cast Claws for R and it would do 2 damage. With the Rallier package, it's much easier for Goyf to be a 4/5, making Ferocious much easier to achieve. Admittedly, you don't have Smiter (the most obvious Ferocious enabler) but you have plenty of other ways to enable it.
Anyway, I think the card is worth investigating -- if it's right for the meta, I'm sure it won't be for very long, it's just not a super powerful card.

If you're going to investigate, youll have to pay 2 mana to draw a card.

Speaking of powerful cards, I've finally begun testing Chandra, Torch of Defiance, and man is that card bonkers in this deck.
My son just started playing Magic in Feb, so like any loving father I got my son into modern using a budget Zoo deck and have since upgraded it. We are going to a PPTQ in 2 weeks and I am trying to come up with a sideboard plan vs certain decks. If I don't, he will just skip sideboarding the whole event. I don't play aggro in Modern (I'm a dirty 8 Racker) so while I think I know which cards to bring out and in, I would like if the experts could help me a little.
Here is the deck that he is running right now. Please let me know if there are any adjustments but the main budget was spent on the lands last week.

Domri Rade probably could be SB material -- it's very good vs. the decks it's good against but a real dud against some (plus your guys arent that big for fighting).
The manabase looks complete and good. Good job dad.
We replaced Experiment One with Dryad Militant since the largest that E1 can get is 3/3 in this deck besides hardcasting Ghor-Clan Rampager. He also won't let me make the deck without Domri Rade since he's 10 and loves all Planeswalkers. I'm just glad he figured out that the Samut, the Tested he opened isn't for Modern...

Great for him testing these out! I think it also looks good. If you're not interested in E1 then maybe add in a 4th Bushwhacker to try and make it as fast as possible. I think with this list you want all 16 busted 2 drops to maximize drawing them and getting more consistent crazy draws. The first thing I would probably cut after Domri would be the Dryad Militants.
Tested this out, and while it was a lot of fun playing thunderbreak regent on turn 3, it alas was not the most solid deck choice and had some glaring weaknesses, such as if you don't draw your big cards, you're playing a bunch of cards that can be weak by themself. Searing blaze, Eidolong, all of these were lackluster top decks and were more support cards than pillars that could stand by themselves. It did make me realize that it's probably correct to play 1 chandra over 1 company tonight so I'll be playing that tonight.
Hey guys- I'm looking to add 2 cards that can clear the opponents board a little in the SB. Do you guys like- 1) Bonfire of the Damned 2) Ratchet Bomb or 3) Fiery Justice the best? At this time, I feel like Bonfire has the most upside, but I'm playing the Rallier version so ratchet might also be more correct. Heres my list: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/naya-rallier-zoo/
I personally like Kozilek's Return, but of those three I would choose Bonfire. With Seal + Rallier you're not gonna have as much a problem with smaller tribal decks, but bonfire would help clear out the board of an opposing Eldrazi player for instance.
Fiery Justice is great vs death's shadow, as well as weenie decks like elves, affinity, stuff that loves X/1s. Bonfire is vs decks that go wide you are racing. Tokens, shamans, zoo. Ratchet bomb would be for the flexibility (and I suppose tokens, it was better vs twin tokens.) being only ever OK vs stuff like adneseam, storm, as well as everything mentioned above. Its a jack of all trades, master of none.
So how awesome does Loxodon play for you guys? I know its good vs some decks (blue decks/liliana decks) but in general it's mostly just a beater, is that all we need there at three drop? I just feel like Rallier feels broken about 85% of the time, and the other 15% not great, but in modern i'll take my chances. Just curious why you guys feel like Smiter is better right now.
Also- Have any of you tested with selfless spirit? Wondering if its worth putting pridemage in the board for spirit.
I liked smiter more when traditional Jund was one of the top dogs. A 3cmc uncounterable 4/4 just doesn't play very well nowadays against 1 mana 5/5s. Also kind of funny when you PTE a reality smasher and discard smiter to put it into play but even then it's not really that big of a deal.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
I don't love smiter, but I play him because of 1) the fact that his abilities are decent in a DS meta and 2) lack of alternatives. There's a sharp dropoff among 3-drops after KotR (unless you're running Geist). I did have a guy choose Smiter with an IoK last week because he wasn't really thinking it through. It was pretty funny, though not something to count on when choosing a 3-drop
I like smiter because he leads to more busted games than you can imagine. I can't tell you how many times I'll play against scapeshift, put him down on turn 2 after hierarch, and just win the game because they're on a 2/3 turn clock. Smiter is better than people give him credit for, but obviously not as great as Knight. He's much better than a 3 power 3 cmc creature though, because attacking for 5/6 with hierarchs and him in play is a real thing the deck does very often.
Of course Smiter is better than most 3cmc creatures if you're comparing them purely on stats and ignoring other functions of the cards. Since mid 2015 when I started playing Naya Company, Smiter has consistently been the 1st cut whenever I want to experiment with something different.
Smiter is just sort of a higher floor/lower ceiling card compared to most other 3 drops. He's consistently an efficient beatstick and sometimes that's just good enough.

No Experiment One?
The sideboard looks explanatory and fairly obvious. He should be able to figure it out.
At worst he doesn't sideboard -- which is often better than sideboarding to be honest. So many players overboard.
What's your list? I just cut the 3rd basic for an extra stomping ground. Will test tonight and see.
