I can't see big zoo consistently losing to spirits on a reasonable draw. Our cards are just straight up better at every point of the curve. Maybe if you have a slow hand with no removal and they get to out tempo you with multiple spell quellers off a turn 1 hierarch.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.
My meta is littered with a few elves and revolt zoos. I run 2x kozeleks return and have yet to lose to a spirit match up when I play it. I play a big zoo with a few walkers
There are some weird choices in flex spots. Heroic intervention, authority of the concals, gruul charm and rachet bomb is a bit odd. Theres better options then those. But sure, the overall deck is solid.
Thanks for the reply. What cards would you recommend I get in order to improve the list?
As others have pointed out, this is clearly a suboptimal list. As a minimum, Heroic Intervention is strictly worse than Boros Charm in this deck, except in the narrow case when you want to cast it off of BTE (which should be about never). The sideboard is entirely suspect: no excuse to play Wear/Tear in a deck that has access to Destructive Revelry, Ratchet Bomb seems to serve no purpose, and Authority of the Consuls (bad) and Gruul Charm (worse) means you're way over-tuning for creature matchups. Not to mention there are also Paths there.
Other than that, the list is fairly stock. Your flex slots are 2 Rampagers, 1 Rancor, Heroic Intervention, and 2 Brawlers. That's 6 cards of which I'd say you need 2 combat tricks and 4 creatures. I'd suggest Mutagenic Growth, Blossoming Defense, Vines of Vastwood or Path of Exile in the main deck, together with either Brawlers, Flinthoof Boor or even Loam Lions. Vexing Devil is also an option. It's also acceptable to keep the extra Rampagers and Rancor.

basically this. sorry i missed the question you directed at me. Musta slipped my notification. Your best bet is going on mtggoldfish and seeing the card break down %
I think spirits has a decent gameplan against the midrange zoo variants. For instance they can curve a wanderer into a selfless spirit into drogskull into coco. You can't really interact with their board very easily so it's a race. If you are playing things like qasali, smiter, and knight you can lose that race. They are like fae though, if you can land a good threat on turn one and start overloading the board then they can't recover.

Yeah I'm testing domri in revolt zoo and the one time I got it to stick it drew a single creature in 3 activations which was a bit underwhelming. On the plus side, he did get inquisitioned over my atarkas command one game which sped my clock up a ton, so there is that...
My sideboard is very up in the air for a 3K this weekend. I'm pretty sold on the 3 paths, 2 destructive revelry, 1 ancient grudge, 1 eidolon of the great revel (I don't want to have to hold mana up forever against cheerios and it's great against storm too), but the rest is a lot of maybes. 2 Domri for removal matchups, 1 RiP for Grixis or Tarmogoyf matchups, 1 Stony Silence, and testing one phyrexian unlife because the Boros Burn matchup is kind of ugly. I find other than the paths or the artifact hate there isn't a ton I'm consistently siding in because my gameplan is usually just to kill them before they do their stuff anyway.
So far it's been pretty good. At two weekly modern events my combined record is 6-1-1 losing to a mull to five against gifts storm, which we later playtested after the round and I went 7-1 against him. I feel the maindeck is in a spot I don't want to make changes to, but the sideboard is unfocused
If my videos ever finish uploading to youtube I go over my feelings on bolt effects. In general, bolt effects are exactly what I want in an aggressive midrange deck that wants to be able to switch roles from controlling to aggressive depending on the board state. It's removal that clears the way for your threats, it is game ending reach, it can finish off damaged creatures and swing combat math, lets you trample over extra damage for instance when tasigur blocks a rhino and you bolt the tasigur. Matchups like death shadow jund and tron where bolt is bad removal - bolt is still very good. These are the matches where you want to be able to do burst damage and end the game on the spot and bolt is how you do that.
Did your tribal flames zoo vids ever post? If so, link em. Tribal zoo is also a pet deck of mine.
Also here is lanterns primer on the deck which is less ramble and covers most of what I am saying although I have gone more for 5 color good stuff midrange than his vision for the deck suggested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKKwwzp22uc&t=971s
Thanks for the constructive criticism of the revolt zoo decklist. I have taken this into account and I have updated my decklist (https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/591578#online). Do you guys have any tips for someone (like myself) who is new to modern zoo?
So. Zoo and Infect currently have roughly similar metagame share (MTGTop8 lists 20 Zoos and only 15 Infects). Why is Infect T1 and Zoo "developing competitive"?

Because If I had to update dynamically like that, as a mod Id probably kill myself.
Or quit. I guess thats a less dramatic option.
Jokes aside, because its a threshold and its also a time frame. Currently, Infect still holds enough wins under its 3 month belt that it stuck to tier 1 after the ban. Likewise, zoo was basically dead a month ago. And we delay because it weeds out flavor of the week. Which happens all the time.

Fair enough. Thanks for the effort you put into this.
I guess this was really more of a question about Infect, which has fallen out of flavor really hard and has been at 2% or less pretty much since January.
Jund seems like a decent to good matchup. Voice, Geist, queller and CoCo overload their removal and makes it really awkward for them to play optimally.
Lost to faeries off a horrible game 1. Kept a hierach, nacatl, bolt, path, 2 land hand on the draw and proceeded to draw nothing but lands the next 4 turns after his turn 2 collective brutality wrecked me. 2nd game was more normal and I won handily by quelling a cryptic command. 3rd game was awkward as I was stuck on 3 lands so I had to constantly sacrifice lands with knight to cast my spells against an active t2 bitterblossom. Eventually lost as I wasn't able to keep up the tempo.

small xoo should be out racing it, and forcing it to find its answer spells. big zoo should just be out valuing them

I've never had good results with Domri Rade but maybe you've optimized your list with him in mind.
