I am making a video series talking (rambling) about my favorite modern deck: Tribal zoo. A lot of it will be rehashing what Lantern already covered in the 2014 primer. Things have changed a bit since then with the printing of siege rhino and I have shifted away from the zoo core towards an aggressive midrange strategy. I don't know if anyone will get anything useful out of the vids but Ill let yall know about them anyway because its the internet lol.
So far I have two 20ish min videos going over the threat quadsquad and the removal quadfecta. Tonight Ill do a manabase and flexslot vid then try to figure out how to upload stuff to youtube. Take it easy bros
I'm looking into buying a new deck for an upcoming GP, and I wanted to get your thoughts on this list I found online (it seems like a good starting point). http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=14836&d=289382&f=MO
There are some weird choices in flex spots. Heroic intervention, authority of the concals, gruul charm and rachet bomb is a bit odd. Theres better options then those. But sure, the overall deck is solid.
Anyone else feeling like bolt is consistently our worst card in revolt zoo? It doesn't really clear anything relevant in the current format and I'm just finding that the reach isn't all that relevant a lot of the time. The deck feels great and I've been winning with it, but it honestly feels like bolt is the first thing I side out in just about every matchup.

Thanks for the reply. What cards would you recommend I get in order to improve the list?

lol I was feeling this way In big zoo. I actually like 3-4 in revolt. Though I wonder about big zoo
If my videos ever finish uploading to youtube I go over my feelings on bolt effects. In general, bolt effects are exactly what I want in an aggressive midrange deck that wants to be able to switch roles from controlling to aggressive depending on the board state. It's removal that clears the way for your threats, it is game ending reach, it can finish off damaged creatures and swing combat math, lets you trample over extra damage for instance when tasigur blocks a rhino and you bolt the tasigur. Matchups like death shadow jund and tron where bolt is bad removal - bolt is still very good. These are the matches where you want to be able to do burst damage and end the game on the spot and bolt is how you do that.
Guys please opinions on japanese cards. Lost a 3/3 creature against Japan celestial colonade. This guy played all creatures and spells in english cards, but some cards in his manabase was japanese. I dont registrated this really ( my brain say its all fine and all english to me lets attack his empty board)...and i am sure it is a Kind of legal cheating. It is not ok, but i know legal. I Hate such people. I never forget colonade normally, but with this Tricks it can happen one time in 3 years and such people take advantage of this
If I am a customer spending premium amount of dollars, I expect a premium service. Jund falls into the category of a premium deck costing more dollars than a majority of the rest of the format. I'm not getting the desired performance ratio per dollars spent out of the Jund deck because WOTC decided to make the format more diverse.

Yes. I was on 20 ones, 16 combo, 4 Bolt, 1 Mutagenic, 19 land until yesterday. I've put Path in Bolt's stead. I'm also considering dropping Hidden Herbalist from the list since too often it's a 1- or 2-mana bear. You need 3 G spells or a BTE to shape her up, but this happens like less than a third of the time. Considering Devil and memnite atm.

Edit: Bant Eldrazi 2-0 revolt zoo. Zoo had him on 1 life for like 4 turns. Really missed his burn spells there haha
Saw that. I think patching the sky spawner was the wrong play there since at worst it would trade with one of your dudes and he wasn't pushing lethal anyway. If he still had the path on the net turn he probably wins I think
Updated list. I got onto the Courser/Tracker plan this Saturday in testing. It's fine. Super slow but the games you were losing to the big decks you were losing regardless.
Looks pretty sweet lugger, shout out to Lotus cobra I love that card!
Guys I finally uploaded some videos about my thoughts on Tribal zoo after playing it with moderate success for the past 4 or 5 months. In case you are bored and have some interest in checking them out here is the playlist:

Big Zoo or Little/Gruul Zoo?
Big Zoo I just kill them with big things. They fold to t2 Tarmogoyf and a timely bolt. I don't think I've dropped a game over a couple of matches.
I've only ever beaten them in one match. All their fliers + exalted triggers add up quickly.
