@RedMTG : That's pretty similar to the approach I am taking, though mine is even more controlling with a little bit of Horror synergy. I have the 4 Pyromancers and 3 mutagenic growth in the board for when I want to switch to more aggressive deck, and when the opponent thinks Bolt is bad after game 1. Here's what I have so far:
The sideboard is rough. My only doubt at this point is the question you folks have brought up about counters being bad. I tend to think that in most situations where I want to hold up a counter, then I'm OK waiting on the Reveler. And if I want to cast reveler with a counter up to protect it from their counters, I just hold on until the timing is right.
Or, for even more fun, those counters could be maindeck Molten Rains instead.
Hey everyone! Longtime lover of Delver decks in Modern, though I haven't played too much of it since the TC ban. I'm hoping Bedlam Reveler can help rectify this archetype in Modern. Anyway, saw this list on mtgtop8.com that got top 4 of an event in the EU. What do you all think of this list? It plays 3 Bedlam Reveler's along with some Snaps and Pyro's. Here's the link and list.
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
Hi there @ashtonkutcher, would you mind sharing your RUG list? I've been testing intensively the ur delver deck with the bedlam and i'm curious what green gives us for this kind of deck.

Green is for Traverse, Goyf, and enchantment removal.

I'm liking Reveler so far it fills a lot of the weak spots the deck has always had. A way to refuel after a attrition battle, doesn't die to bolt or Decay, doesn't require us to be going out of our way to do stuff we wouldn't do anyways.
The obvious odd balls in the list are Spite of Mogis and [card]Collective Defiance[/card. Collective Defiance has been hit or miss. I've had it be a real good value card in the late game getting use out of all three modes, it has also been good when I probe and see that my hand is irrelevant to my opponents plans or if they are on a combo or something.
I think you are going to run the U/R delver with Reveler you should give Spite of Mogis a try. If you can cast Reveler for RR then you can deal 6 to any non-protection from red or hexproof creatures. I've killed 5/6 Gofy's with it pretty regularly and I am thinking about adding a second in the board or the MD.
I don't think my sideboard needs much discussion since it changes all the time because I only play online and that is the world of the deck of the day; if you read a article or see a video series about a deck online you might as well just throw some hate in your board its a bad match up.
Dredge is easy. I've played a bunch of Dredge matches and only lose if I get mana screwed or something like that.
I've only recently put together a budget UR Delver list, and I'm pretty sure the direction this deck wants to go in is a very aggressively stanced tempo deck.
Tiago has always been a very strong card, and bolt-snap-bolt will always be a potentially game-ending play, but I actually don't like him in my UR list. He's a lot better in Grixis, where we have the potential to grind opponents out with hard answers and 2 for 1s.
The meta has been speeding up, and we need to adapt. This means cheap threats and spells to answer our opponent's plays. Swiftspear, Vapor Snag, Remand, Forked Bolt, and Pillar of Flame are some of the tools we have.
Because of all the cheap answers and temporary effects, i.e. Vapor Snag, we need a way to fuel back up. Thought Scour raises our card quality, and the spells we mill go very well with Bedlam Reveler. The EMN Horror not only refuels our hand but is also a great threat itself, usually able to rival an opponent's Goyf.
I'm not saying this change will make UR Delver tier one, or that it's a revolutionary way to think. I simply believe that an aggressive, almost Legacy RUG-esque build is the direction we want to go towards.
Enemy colored fast lands in Kaladesh... Which means we get a UR fast land! You know they are gonna see play in Modern, but how much does it help UR Delver? Whats the call here? I'm probably going to run two in my list to start with.

It will probably just replace the check lands. Running Blood Moon out of the side board in most lists kind of limits the number of non-basics we can run so just getting Sulfur Falls out of the deck will be good since it the worst single land you can have in your opening hand.
Most of the lists in this thread look alot bigger then the lists I've been leaning towards.
So let me start by saying i dont know how to post a decklist as this is my first post.
I have been playing ur delver in legacy for 6 months and modern for about 4. And have found that the bigger versions don't go under decks like the legacy ur delver does, and i think thats because in legacy it leans closer to burn instead of lookong more like grixis. So I put that same philosophy into my modern list.
Here's the list:
Creatures:15
4 Delver of Secrets
4 Monastery Swiftspear
3 Snapcaster Mage
4 Stormchaser Mage
Sideboard:15
2 Spellskite
1 Izzet Staticaster
1 Bonfire of the Damned
2 Dispel
2 Grafdigger's Cage
2 Pillar of Flame
2 Smash to Smithereens
3 Spreading Seas
So far the spreading seas have given me the effect of blood moon with more velocity, and the added burn makes it feel a lot more like legacy.
So far the only slots in the main I'm unhappy with are the mutagenic growths. The are often apart of a hand that can run out of steam, but they have also been integral in saving a threat from removal. I am looking for a better card in tbat slot. As it is, with all the prowess having counterspells isn't something im missing nor something i want. Looking forward to your thoughts.
Have you thought about Pillar of Flame over Burst Lightning? With 17 lands its a shock 90 percent of the time and Kitchen Finks sets you back big time.
There isn't much reason not to try it. I will test the change. Most of the time the difference between instant and sorcery is very marginal in this deck.
I lost narrowly to Abzan Coco (not flipping a T1 delver 3 turns.. sigh) and got crushed by Eldrazi & Taxes. Fairly easily beat affinity and crushed BTL scapeshift and some UB lantern control deck.
I flooded way too much so will definitely cut at least 1 land. Seeing even 17 land lists in here I might cut another but with both TBR and reveler in this list, I doubt I really want to go below 18. Everything else felt pretty good. No idea how to beat Eldrazi & Taxes, though..
In the match against Eldrazi & taxes he had a burrenton forge-tender in g2 but I could fly over with delver and stormchaser mage. Wouldn't have been a big difference if it was kor firewalker because all cantrips are blue. I won that game on the back of blood moon limiting him to 1 white spell a turn because he could ghost quarter a land in response.
Sadly, I sequenced game 1 poorly after seeing his hand with probe so could perhaps have won that. Thinking about that match, it seems that blood moon is a pretty important piece of the puzzle. Especially on the play, it cuts off quite a part of their game plan. A sweeper of some kind may also be useful. Pyroclasm only kills delver, but kills pretty much everything in their deck except thought-knot seer, so that may be a useful sideboard card. Thing in the Ice may also work. It's a nice combo with blood moon (bounce board they can't replay).

If you use the [.deck] and [./deck] tags around your list (without dots) you get the above result. With deck=Something you can also give it a specific name because the default is to give it the poster's name (which is mine now, funnily enough).
17 land seems a bit light with snapcaster mage which is pretty much a 3 mana play. Even though snapcaster is great, I don't really want it in this deck and think bedlam reveler is just better to be able to reload and have a big beater. Reveler also doesn't get killed by anger of the gods, which everything else does.
I'm actually leaning towards including a mutagenic (instead of electrolyze which I think is too expensive and a bit redundant next to 2 forked bolt) in my list because I also run temur battle rage. As you said, it also saves your prowess dudes from bolts, which is nice. Counterspells aren't great in this deck, true, but I think it would be a mistake to run none. I chose spell pierce as a singleton in the main deck to be as catch-all as possible at the cheapest cost so it can be used to protect your stuff while you pump your dudes with lava spikes etc. Also, to keep them honest, as they say.
Maybe Spreading Seas is good enough, but I like how this deck (if tuned for it) can basically ignore blood moon itself while locking other decks completely out. Spreading seas can never do that.
I'm looking foe feedback on my aggressive U/R Delver Prowess list.
It doesn't use Manamorphose + Temur Battle Rage but can combo out pretty well with many cantrips and free spells.
