First thing I thought when I saw this card up today. Could replace the Distortion Strike in my Infect deck. Very well could finish a game if you draw any pump spells. I will be play testing this.

STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I think Distortion Strike is generally better. The card that you draw off Slip Through Space isn't guaranteed to trigger Wild Defiance.
One advantage that Slip Through Space has is that it goes into your graveyard immediately for Become Immense.
Unnatural Endurance looks barely playable. It's similar to Ranger's Guile in that it offers a small pump and protection from being destroyed, but Endurance's protection extends to combat situations as well.

Now you are thinking.
Who plays wild defiance anymore?
I do. Plenty of burn in my meta. Can't wait to try this out. Wouldn't mind chaining this into a second copy topdeck with WD for sure. Sorcery speed does suck though of course.

and also makes us draw more gas, definitely an upgrade IMO
Yep, it sure does. Draw another pump spell and instead of stringing it out another turn, its gg.

Does anyone in this thread still play the UG variant? All the GB love is making me sad, haha. Infect is my favorite modern deck, but I unfortunately can't buy in to the GB version currently.

Spending your entire t3 on an "insurance policy" vs burn is a terrible plan.
Dead them.
Still playing UG here too.
Also hard to dead them when they've burned your turn one Glistener Elf and turn two Blighted Agent with no protection in hand and you are sitting on a hand full of pump spells with nothing to play them on. WD is slow but VERY resilient to Burn.

If a burn deck is burning your creatures out instead of you, you are already winning. Be very, very happy.
If you are sitting with a hand full of pump with nothing to use it on you just aren't doing it right.
Now I know it happens sometimes, but the situation you described is ENTIRELY under your control. Play around stuff, have protection and mulligan aggressively. Burn is not an easy match up by any means, but not for the reasons you described. When burn starts trying to kill your guys you are winning. Knowing that, the answer is simple.... protect your guys.

Many times what you describe is exactly what can be achieved, BUT there are times when the situation occurs that I have described. WD is indeed insurance against those instances and while it is not optimal, it is VERY effective. Even aggressive mulliganing sometimes doesn't net you the protection spells you need. Smart Burn players also recognize this and often will forego the burn to the face to removal of what will kill them quicker, i.e. any and all infect creatures on the board. To each their own, but I prefer a backup plan even if it may cost a turn to invest in it. A turn 3 WD very well may set up a turn 5 lethal win. Not optimal, but I've had it happen many a time to not only Burn but various decks out there. Good luck with what you run, sticking with what I have for now.

against a UG list it can just devote all his spells on our creatures and kill us with a lone creature of his.
Belive me you do not want to dump that mainboard
Thank you, excellent points. Burn players in my meta aren't stupid, they know even one infect creature on the board can be lethal and treat it as such. I've had exactly what you describe happen to me on several occasions always leaving me wishing I had drawn a WD.

Presuming what i have and have not played against is foolishness, and counter productive to a healthy discussion.
Please don't do it again. I've been playing infect since it was viable in modern, and as such i have encountered the "burn" deck in all its iterations. The deck you detail above is not in fact burn, it's zoo, the primary "burn" list of choice these days.
The major difference in philosophy here is that i play B/G, not U/G, so ultimately it comes down to the point of my 3 drop is better than yours, in the form of Phyrexian Crusader. That, however, changes little, as i used to run 2 wild defiance main in my list.
It's disappointing.
The "burn" match up is a race, plain and simple, and i'd rather draw a do-something card than a relies-on-other-cards-to-do-its-work card every time.
Not sure if anyone out there plays the deck as well as him. Hope he goes the distance.
