I used to play 1 Duress and 1 Dispel - they're similar effects against control. Having 2 Dispel against Suicide Zoo makes tapping low much safer. Generally speaking, against decks where you want Kalitas, he does his job by just sitting there rather than making zombies. Dispel allows him to come with protection sooner.
So you always bring in dispel with kalitas, also versus zoo, GBx, Bant Eldrazi? Not Affinity I guess?

What do you think about Collective Brutality? It's sorcery speed but I guess it works as a Duress and a Disfigure, and allow us to make extra value from Bitterblossoms or seizes stuck in hand.
Right now i'm playing 3 IoK, 2 Seizes, 1 Brutality in MD and 1 more Brutality in the board.

I've actually been wanting to test this out as a 1-2 of in the main/side just to see how it performs. It doubles as discard and removal therefore making it quite relevant if I'd like to pitch a seize or BB, like you had mentioned.
I bring in both Kalitas and Dispel when they're applicable. Like against Affinity, they don't have many instants, so you don't need Dispel.
I dislike Collective Brutality because all of the effects are weak. The only decks I would actually want to use more than one mode against are Burn and Infect - both matchups that don't really need any help. Otherwise it's a worse Thoughtseize or a more expensive Disfigure. You could pitch lands, but I prefer to play all of my lands so that I can eventually attack with more than one manland.

Thanks a lot for your answers, I really appreciate it!
From your answer I gather you wouldn't bring in dispel versus BGx either, since they like affinity only have around 4 relevant instants (which can be countered / can kill kalitas). But would you bring it in versus Bant Eldrazi with their 6 instants (all of which can kill kalitas)?

I don't think you'd want Kalitas against Affinity. Ground creatures are not very relevant against them.
Regarding Dispel and Bant Eldrazi, you have another revelant spells that you want to counter (Worship, EE, Chalice of the Void), I'd prefer to bring countersquall (and the obvious, Damnation, etc). And probably side out some less relevant counterspells (Mana Leak, Spell Snare).
You really want Dispel against decks that have relevant instant other than Path to Exile. Dispel helps to protect Kalitas, but it can also counter many other relevant instants: Collective Company, Chord of Calling, Ad Nauseam, Summoner's Pact, Cryptic Command...

Remember that Kalitas blots Arcbound Ravager. And the lifelink can be vital.
Yeah, what I meant is that you usually have more important stuff to side in, like Damnation and Hurkyl's, and you also don't want to keep a high curve with 3 Kalitas (+ Damnation, + Cryptic Commands) against a deck that can beat you before you can cast the first one.

Countersquall seems too slow and too narrow for me versus Eldrazi. Spellstutter and cryptic is enough for me versus the spells you mentioned in your earlier post.
But I could see bringing in a dispel or two to protect kalitas in a speedy way, although I am Aware that only 4 path and 2 dismember is not much to go for. That is why I am curious what Anthony does in this matchup, to better understand how important he feels it is to protect kalitas.
About affinity I am Aware of the curve issues. I lean towards taking out all cryptics to make room for 2-3 kalitas. It can still swing a game with a removal Spell or a bitterblossom to handle the small fliers, I think.. At least it does more than cryptic?
I would generally side in ees, damnations, deathmarks, removal of other sorts, sword of light and shadow/batterskull, kalitas, sower, ashiok, or other creature interaction.
I would side out some combination of discard and counterspells. Depending on the list, snares come out (if they play a lot of mana dorks > three drops) brutality/disfigures come out if I feel they will have too few targets. Cryptics are likely to come out, some number of mistbind cliques are likely to come out if they're playing a lot of creatures it can't beat in combat.
As a general rule, you want a deck full of doom blades against creature based decks, and a deck full of mana leaks against spell based decks. Figuring out what % of their postboard deck will be relevant spells vs relevant creatures is important. (Ie, a coco deck is going to be almost entirely creatures, and you can safely side out most counters/discard, but a low to the ground zoo deck might play a lot of burn, so you'll need to keep counters in)
To the people playing Swords: How satisfied are you with them? In what match ups do you especially like them? It's just that they seem really slow...
What I've found in my limited testing is that, while yes, they are slow, they can more easily secure a game for you. I play Swords at the moment instead of Mistbind Cliques (according to Antony's lists) and they just feel more "secure" let's say. There is no situation where swords will be a 2-1 for the opponent unless they play K. Command.
Yes they are slow but they basically are an additional win condition which can also get you out of some sticky situatios with pure card advantage. You don't want to play T3 Sword unless there are specific circumstances.

Flayer-Jund lists play 2 Decays, 1 Pulse and no Kommands...
Is that the most popular trend in kind at the moment? I would still be cautious. But swords are not bad at all.

I personally like both swords. They can absolutely turn a game in your favor and each is relevant in the late game. You're not dropping it early usually, but when it does get dropped it's usually a "get rid of this now or I win" kind of card.

Yeah but that is a 1 for 1 trade which is fine. 1 Decay to a Sword is 1 Decay not directed to a Bitterblossom.
@Ymir: it was no critique. The strat with swords probably works better now. That is what I wanted to suggset. Jund plays less answers to swords nowaydays.
