Utter end is just there as an idea, i'm not sure i actually want to play it, but a universal removal could prove useful in my opinion
I decide to only use 1 mutavault because I fear the colorless mana could be problematic
Not sure how I feel about Mortify when we can play Esper Charm. Also a bit too much spot removal I think. My list plays 3 Vendilions and no Snapcasters though. How's the Dig Through Time been doing for you? I haven't had the chance to play mine yet (I also run 1 in the main) but I feel like it can be pretty powerful.

want: lorwyn thoughtseize / foil faeries / foil cryptic command / foil mutavault / foil restoration angel (non-promo) / more
You take basicly no damage from the lands and you still able to discard on turn 1.
From my experience 3 mutavaults is too many main deck. I've cut down to 2 in exchange for a hallowed fountain, I also run 3 and 1 of the fetches. (In favor of delta obviously)
Currently in the process of determaning how greedy I can get with my manabase to card turn 2 bb turn 3 lily or vclique turn 4 cryptic.

There is no reason being friendly and being competitive can't be synonymous.
I've really changed my Faeries build a lot over time, and I wanted to share my current build to maybe bring some inspiration to a better deck builder than myself.
Notes:
No maindeck discard. Replaced by Serum Visions. I like the change so far... but it's hard to quantify these changes into results..
- 2 MD batterskull.. I really feel like faeries needs to reliably close games quickly after chaining cryptics. these do that well.
- 2 MD vedalken shackles. Not sure if its worth running this card... sometimes useless until i can activate the same turn, so 5+. Some matchups its useless entirely, and I don't think its worth ruining the manabase to use. I'd rather be able to cast liliana more reliably.
I really wish it was easier to quantify these changes without hundreds of hours of testing. I hate deckbuilding. Can a professional please come bring us to tier 1 please?
After playing this deck for a few months now, I'm slowly starting to resent it. I really regret buying this deck in paper instead of Junk. My faeries list can stabilize fairly well with Cryptics after remands and kill spells keep them playing threats, but then has just NOTHING to do when the cryptic train leaves. They play a tarmogoyf, and without card draw to refill my hand, I have no answers and they end up winning. I despise the fact that a T2 Bitterblossom pulls us ahead on most matchups, but before that we're unfavored most of the time (save twin). Most decks are running Maindeck spells that just wreck our gameplans (Abrupt Decay, Electrolyze, Birthing Pod decks in general) and it really hurts. There are a lot of cards in my current list I don't want to be playing, but at that point it's not Faeries and I should just be running a better version that's a different deck entirely.
Over time I've moved from playing Scion of Oona/Mistbind Clique faeries to my current control oriented Faeries, and I'm not entirely convinced it's better against the current meta. Here's where I just hate deckbuilding because I always second guess any my changes, and it leads to me never accomplishing any changes in a decklist even though I think about it non-stop. There has to be a perfect version of this deck somewhere, and maybe it doesn't include mutavaults or many faeries at all.
Straight faeries tempo is what I'm willing to try next. But for now I need a break with the deck. I'm going to proxy up a junk deck and brood on these thoughts for awhile and come back to the deck in about a week with (hopefully) a new perspective. Can a more tempo player please post their updated decklist? I haven't seen one in awhile besides ManuGodineau's and Brianbgrp's.
I have had many similar concerns as you with the deck. An earlier creature than a Bitterblossom token, or taking your mana to tap for Mutavault to Spellstutter/Mistbind would be nice as well as an earlier clock. Wish there were a better faerie one drop. Sprite would be able to come online so much faster. I do have a Faerie Imposter in to bounce back Sprite and Vendillion Clique, and I've even found the deck can support two. The couple ofOona's Blackgaurd and Oona's Prowler can be blowouts often.
I took this list to a 3rd place finish at a 9 player modern tournament. Lost 2 games (which weren't as close as they should've been) to Birthing Pod.
Afterwards, I decided to drop the third Mistbind Clique, replacing it with the 3rd Scion of Oona, as well a switching the Sword of Feast and Famine to the sideboard, bumping Batterskull to the main deck. I felt like the deck needed a late game finisher, and the sword was awkward with Scion out.
Countermagic is the smell before rain, the sun on the horizon and the chocolate chips in my mint chocolate chip ice cream. It's the first time I saw a woman naked and the first time I smelled perfume. It's that feeling you get when you know you're right.
But most of all; it's the feeling of playing Magic
Treasure cruise. I'm so down to test cruise and dig, don't even care about fetches. Went 3-1 on stream again last night, beat a blood Moon even. I really like the idea, especially for my play style(iE, one for one early and often) of cruise as a turn 4-6 "refill" button.
Hopefully I pick some up this weekend online and can start testing, my current list for reference
tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ub-faeries-current/
The change is gonna be cut vendetta and far/away for two cruises/digs. See which performs better over time(I think it'll be a meta call, personally. With cruise better against fair decks like bgx where you just want to refill vs control/combo meta where dig gives you selection)
If I had to shift to an esper list I think I will start with
4x esper charm
3x path (in addition to 2x black spot removal like smother or dismember)
and maybe 1 or 2 sphinx's revelation
keeping other white cards for the SB
and moving to a more control build
but with the core shell that we discussed this months.
Do you have any suggestion about cheap white cards that can make we gain some lifepoints to compensate fetch+BB+seize+dismember loss?
I cannot stress how much the new sorin is an asset to esper fae lists. I have loved the card so much.

If you're in the market for a sweeper I'd recommend black sun's zenith over damnation. It might cost more in a few random situations, but it is a clean answer to persist creatures and gives you the chance to re-draw it. Whether or not you want the zenith effect is another matter, but if I picked one in a vacuum I'd take the zenith.

Melira is a 1 of in most lists (maybe 2?), and there is plenty of other removal in Faeries to handle her and then Zenith away the board.

Dominated? Not even close. Even though the deck is called "Melira" pod, it's been ages since I even saw her in play. If the pod player even has that package in their deck in the first place you'll still be casting the zenith long before they ever even think about trying to get her in play. When it comes to black zenith, melira is not close to being a consideration.

If you want to kill creatures with toughness greater than 2, Damnation is better than Zenith. I think there are more creatures with toughness 3 or greater than creatures with persist, so Damnation is better than Zenith in Modern. I wouldn't care about being able to draw it later; once you reset the board, you should usually be able to outrace your opponent. Melira is an even less relevant factor to decide which sweeper is better; its presence in the format is closer to marginal than dominant.
I don't know how do you guys have seen the metagame evolve after Khans release, but it looks that it's being more hostile to Faeries than it used to be. Prior to its release there was already a raise of Burn, but with the new fetchlands it looks that Zoo is being popular again. Even if Jeskai Ascendancy might push those decks out, UR Delver powered with Treasure Cruise and Monastery Swiftspear looks like a very difficult match-up; guess that maindeck Disfigure will be a must if those predictions are right.

There is no reason being friendly and being competitive can't be synonymous.
I've played without Scions for a while now and, honestly, the deck runs much worse this way. Mistbind Clique is sooo easy to remove if we can't protect her and Blossom is also much less of a threat without Scions. Overall, it seems to me that most people have dismissed Scion because they consider Vendilion Clique a superior 3-drop. I used to think so as well. However, I have come to see their power levels as similarly high. What might speak in Scion's favour is how hard it is to play Vendilion at the right time. I'd rather play a slightly less powerful card and play it correctly than playing a more powerful card and play it wrong if you can follow. What is more, with the current meta being full of Burn and Affinity, I consider Scion a great way of helping our tokens, Spellstutters etc. deal with our opponent's threats. The main reason why I want to play Scion again is twofold, though: First, I want to be able to play Mistbind Clique reliably without her catching a Path straight away. After all, Misty is our deck's most powerful tempo card; I wouldn't play less than a full set of her on any account. Secondly, Scion allows to play a full set Sower of Temptation in the side. Sower being the second most powerful Faerie card right after Misty is downright brutal against decks such as Pod, Hatebears, Tron, especially if you can protect her with Scion.
Are you serious? I don't think Quiet Contemplation is playable in Standard, let alone Modern.
The casting cost is huge for a card that does nothing at first and then you actually have to pay extra for its ability.
The delve cards from Khans are also absolutely terrible for any deck that doesn't have a way to fill their graveyard.
Looking back on this comment fills me with great laughter.
the most common comment around the internet was "khans is only good because of fetch lands, the rest is useless"
incredible how fast people can dismiss something
Knowing MTGS, I am surprised that no one said that the fetchlands are useless in Modern.
Looking back on this comment fills me with great laughter.
Which part of that comment did you find so amusing? I presume not me rubbishing Quiet Contemplation?
I still think the delve cards are not worth playing, except maybe as a 1 of, without fetch lands to fill your graveyard. And it's still debatable whether Polluted Delta has a space in straight UB faeries.
I play with 2-3 Snapcasters and currently 0 fetchlands, so I still don't like Treasure Cruise or Dig Through Time.
I'd be interested in seeing your current Faeries list, how's Sorin working out for you? He kinda 'fills me with great laughter' too.
How much would you pay for a draw 3 spell @ sorcery speed in modern? (@ only 1 blue colored mana)
Also for the "look at top 7, pull 2" @ instant speed? (@ only 2 blue colored mana)
It seems like it takes far less for Dig Through Time to be good than Treasure Cruise just because of its instant speed (considering the UU isn't prohibitive to the deck which is not the case in faeries).
Personally 4-5 seems good for Dig, while Cruise feels more like a 3-4... paying anything less is just ridiculous.
