Hate bears uses little Thalia, and plains. (Sometimes an Isamaru, big Thalia, or WLL). So I actually have even less in common with them.
.
I figured you might be interested because I started off with Soul Sistas(ish), and after dozens of tournaments my deck evolved.
I gave the basic flaws I found Soul Sistas had, after playing it.
I gave the reasons I changed my list.
That is not relevent to Hate Bears, but I do feel your love.
I'm a new player and I dont actually see why would your deck fit more here than hate bears thread. It has so little in common with soul sisters. Also like I said I'm just starting my adventure with more competetive magic and cant really see why your deck is superior to soul sisters. I mean you always can put some Selfless Spirit or Thalia, Guardian of Thraben into ss deck. Soldier of the Pantheon also does not look that great now, right? Most creatures played in modern are mono color or colorless. In the top 40 most played creatues in modern there is only reflector mage, meddling mage and mantis rider and I believe lifegain from this card is close to meaningless in your deck. You play Stillmoon Cavalier and White Shield Crusader just for the protections? Because except that they feel really medicore at best. So could someone explain noob like me why should I choose this deck over Sisters? It's no offense just want to learn
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/28-03-18-soul-sisters/ This is my current list, It is slanted to be more aggressive and get in with fliers Getting in an archangel off windbrisk heights is often a back breaker, but even hard casting is great. For some example of gameplay and how aggressive it can be
The reason it fits here on page 230 is because it was Soul Sistas, and I am STILL labelled that by players that do not understand how Soul Sistas works.
* According to ignorant strangers, we play the same deck. *
The reason it has so little in common with Soul Sistas now is because the basic concept just doesn't work at a competitive level.
soccerfanxl has given a pretty reasonable and competitive listing for his Soul Sistas in the post directly above.
And it will consistently hang around, stay alive, gain life, durdle, . . . and then lose to any of the blow outs I listed above.
All of them.
I have played tournamnets since Antiquites, My deck is what Soul Sistas became.
Sorin believes Stillmoon cavalier is distinctly average.
Alright Sorin, how do you deal with Stillmoon Cavalier? (Your ENTIRE deck can not interact with it. ZERO. ZIP. NADA)
It can block every one of your creatures, and walk past them, and pump.
When they play Damnation, Wrath, O-Stone, Living Death, pyroclasm, . . Soul Sistas just loses. Selfless Spirit that.
Little Thalia does not directly 'Fit' into Soul Sistas plan, but it is incredibly effective at stopping some decks that just destroy Soul Sistas, like Storm. Soul Sistas just loses to anything with a long term game.
After any board wipe, which individual card is best for you to play?
Mine is Stillmoon.
Yours looks like Brimaz or Hero. Blue decks and decks with creature kill just ignore them.
Soldier of the Pantheon has 2 Power. That is why he is playable. He kills people. Soul Sistas do not. His abilities are mostly minor.
'Archangel off a Windbrisk is backbreaking', and will do incredible things, AFTER they would have won already with a Tier 1 deck. (from listing)
Yes, lots of creatures are mono, or colourless, and many are not. Modern is a HUGE and diverse field.
I have tried Dragon Hunter, and Mardu Woe, but they just aren't useful enough. (Mardu Woe did randomly win occasional games against reanimator.) In enough random games, just sometimes Soldier wins. And he does get sideboarded regularly.
The reason my deck is a way better choice is because it kills on turn 5
Soul Sistas wins on turn 7.
'Aggressive' gameplay is killing on turn 5 with unkillable, flying monsters, not walking targets screaming kill me on turn 7.
Path to exile is not strong enough against the entire field to be bsedeck.
Path to exile is the only interference Soul Sistas plays, and does win games.
If I give you time, and don't interfere, winning on turn 7 is not going to win the tournament.
2/1, then 2/1 & 2/1 - is a turn 5(ish) win from 3 mana, with ALL spells cast before you get a second mana.
Soul Sistas in the same position needs another couple of cards to even start rolling.
That is why My deck is no longer Soul Sistas, and I have won tournaments with it.
Soul Sistas needs the entire deck to work, good Modern decks either just don't allow that, or win before Soul Sistas.
I mean, Squadron Hawk?
If they go - Burn, counter, Snapcaster + reBurn - on turns 1,2,3
Soul Sistas is stuffed.
My deck is annoyed, and still rolling because the first bolt hit a Dryad and was exiled. Or little Thalia stopped turn 3 burn, or Big Thalia caused the land to come into play tapped/ The Snapcaster to be unable to block,. . .
The cards I play are very, very irritating.
My Spectral Processions are HARSH. They Trigger Windrisks that get Benalish Marshal & WLL & Spectrals & Selfless Spirit, none of which requires support cards. SS needs support cards on table for Windbrisk to be good, and then flipping an Angel is awesome. And much less likely.
Sorin says soldier sucks because - 'In the top 40 most played creatues in modern there is only'. . .
So I went and look here and looked at the most recent other decks in this actual forum.
Modern spirits has Drogskol,
Burn has lightning helix,
Eternal Command has electrolyze & manland,
Infect has no multicolour creatures or kill. (and sometimes plays 4xDismember as only creature kill. Protection from black?)
Infect thinks Soldier is just a 2/1. Fine. Would you sideboard out 2/1, one drops against Infect?
Is gaining life going to hey Soul Sistas against Infect?
Zoo has 20+ cards that HATE soldier,
Bogle is named after 'Slippery Bogle, . . .

I enjoyed reading your copy and paste from the white weenie thread, and while some of your arguments may or may not be true. Your deck meets none of the soul sister molds anymore (even if that’s what it evolved from) I encourage you to continue posting in the white weenie thread.

About the sideboard, why relic instead of rest in peace?
I won’t replace hero of bladehold because the battle cry is too relevant with all the fliers. I don’t play anthems because I never want a dead card in hand, I need a body to trigger lifegain all the time to make the synergy’s work, I thought about Marshall however I don’t think I have room to make for it without cutting brimaz or hero and I think both of those cards are better (maybe replace the brimaz but he also is bolt proof)
I use relic over rip because this deck has no actual card draw, only card advantage (windbrisk and hawk) and being able to draw towards that needed spell seems critical, however I do float between relic and rip
Crimson Lancer -
Wall of Omens is only particularly good when it is useful as a blocker, or gets sacrificed. Drawing one card is also not a strong bonus.
Militia Bugler is a great limited card. Tapping out for a 3 cost 2/3 that might get a card is not very exciting in a format of broken dreams.
If you have to play something like that, Squadron Hawk is often just better.
But, squadron hawk is also just too slow.
.
mnnelson325 -
Archangel of Thune of 22 lands is regularly not going to be a turn 5 play.
Champion of the parish can be a complete combat god, And Thalia's Lieutenant is still good even at two cost.
Even going full sprint Tier 1 can still match, and beat, creature decks for speed. But it is close, and those 2 are awesome.
They completely go against the idea of Soul Sistas though. I mean, given the choice do you play turn one Soul Sista, or turn One Champion? Turn One Champion is a stronger play, so, suddenly, you are not playing Soul Sistas. I think your deck is a mash of 2 or 3 different decks. Soul Sistas, Pure White Humans & White Weenie. Spectral Procession should either be a 4 of because Sistas, a 4 of for WW and a 0(-4) of Humans (IMHO). Based on that, I reckon you should increase your little white human count. I count 24 humans in your deck. I played 38 humans at maximum when playing Champ & Lieutenant, in a version between Soul Sistas and Now)
Lone rider is way cool, and really fits SS, style wise. Neat.
I don't know if the Flagstones + Ghost Quarter is worth it.
Mill does get to trigger a mill spell when I search, and sometimes Bloodmoon is a pain.
After they play Big Thalia, both of them get much worse than 'plains'.
Their Tarmogoyf gets bigger.
I recently won a game where they're colour screwed because they could not destroy one of my non-basics, and force both of us to get a basic land. Only having Plains on display is OK.
.
Also, my stuff was not just copy & pasted.
I took out everything connected to Soul Sistas I had written here because it is simply not relevant to white weenie. Lots was removed.
There is shedloads of good strategy and tactics for you guys in that post still quoted above. A plethora of first hand information of how I improved your deck, why I made those changes to the deck we have both played, and the effects.
When I wrote : "The reason it has so little in common with Soul Sistas now is because the basic concept just doesn't work at a competitive level." I am not Trolling you, I am speaking from direct experience.
This is page 230, and my reporting my experiences of turning these cards sideways apparently deserves a warning.
I count THIRTY different Magic cards listed in the post that got me a warning for being a Troll :
Stillmoon cavalier, Damnation, Wrath, O-Stone, Living Death, pyroclasm, Selfless Spirit, Little Thalia, Brimaz , Hero, Soldier of the Pantheon, Archangel , Windbrisk, Dragon Hunter, Mardu Woe, Path to exile, Squadron Hawk, Burn, counter, Snapcaster, Dryad , Big Thalia, Spectral Processions, Benalish Marshal, WLL, Drogskol, lightning helix, electrolyze, Dismember, Slippery Bogle
Yeah right.
Hey Pavlov, That video is definitely how Soul Sistas wants to work. The other deck did not draw what it needed to win, so Soul Sistas won two medium to long games.
Very rarely can decks do a double wipe. Wipe & point is much easier. The opponent manages to cast a goblin for a single point of damage almost wins!
Leonin Warleader is a good example. It's best possible play is on turn 4, attacking on turn 5. After a board wipe it is a chance at a win. That sounds terribly fair.
The best, targetted scarey-creature-kill in the format is Path to exile, so Soul Sistas plays it. Almost everything else is black. After a board wipe, people will point at the Leo Warleader, but can't see a Stillmoon. (except burn). I came to Stillmoon Cavalier by a process of elemination. It is not a natural, or obvious card.
(No white cards in Modern have protection from Blue!)
Let me help you out, since you seem to be ignorant to the reason you received an infraction: you’re trolling by telling SS players why we should be playing another deck. Now please, go back to the WW thread and stop trying to help people with a deck you don’t play.
@Crimson: Wall is not typically played in SS, because it doesn’t do anything to further our gameplan. Sure, it draws a card, but that mana could have been spent advancing our game state. We are really just an Aggro deck that gains life and profits from said life gain. Wall doesn’t fit the Aggro plan at all. It’s bad in our bad matchups, and decent in our good matchups. Typically, you’ll wish it was something else. You’re not wrong to play it, but not right either, lol
I’ve made the mistake before of pursuing card advantage, but that’s just not the SS style.
Keep it on topic. While yes certain cards are interesting to discuss as spicy or variation for the lists, when you deviate too far from the list it becomes another deck and then posting it becomes the wrong forum. So keep it on topic.
If you see a trolling user please use the report function and do not post why they are trolling let the Mods handle that. Thank you all.
Many run both! Auriok/Thune is more consistent, while Ascendant/Martyr is very inconsistent. You don’t need Martyr to use Asendant, it just makes a turn 2 6/6 possible. Thune also works without Auriok.

How does soul sisters compare with martyr proc? Is one better than the other?
Should I post my Monument Sisters list here and ask for advice, or is it just too far from the original Soul Sisters build, and needs to go in Developing?
Kizzel, as I stated before, Soul Sisters is an Aggro deck that profits from life gain. Martyr/Proc is a control deck that profits from life gain. They share some of the same cards, but are piloted completely differently.
Crimson, I used to post my jank CoCo list here, so you should be fine. I’m interested in seeing your results with it.
So I've tested this mostly only against Aggro, Midrange, and Control, and it has great game against allll of that. My issue will of course be with Combo and Big Mana, hence the SB options. Tempted to find some space in the Board for Damping Spheres, but I still feel like the MD might need some tuning, not sure...
