My brother and I decided to have a little goblin head-to-head with your goblin deck and mine. I started keeping notes, but that only lasted halfway through the first game. I was too baked, and didn't want to focus one anything more than magic. So, I'll write down my notes and the rest of the first game, but that's all. Your lack of lords made your deck lose each game we played:
Game 1: I won the roll, so I chose to go first. With a beautiful hand, I used a simian spirit guide to drop a vial, then played a Blackcleave Cliffs and dropped a Loyalist, swinging for one, then passed turn. My brother dropped a Denizen and passed turn. I dropped a tec Edge, cast a Frogtosser Banneret, and swung for three. He decided not to block, and I passed turn. He played a war marshal and swung for three. I vialed in a Festering Goblin and stuffed it. At 20 life, and it's my third turn. Vial has two counters on it, and things took a little turn. But, my deck loves me, and I hit a miracle Reforge the Soul(and miracle it was, with only a card in my hand, being another vial). I landed another guide, a few lands, chieftain, harbinger, and a Mad Auntie. I cast my chieftain and swung for 7. He took it like a champ. His turn he let his marshal die, dropped a chieftain, and hit me for 6. Then, he grenades a token for 5 more. I clicked my vial up to three, drew a tarfire, dropped a mad auntie(for 2), vialed in my Harbinger to reveal a goblin king, and swung for 12. Game.
Your deck seems pretty solid, but not having more lords than just a playset of chieftains didn't cut it.
I suggest Mad Auntie, because of the fact that she can regenerate other goblins. But, I'm used to vialing her in at the end of my opponents turnif I don't have a chieftain in play. So I'm not too sure how they'd work in your deck. But I'd say it's worth a try.

Nice testing hehe. I figure you like Frogtosser Banneret because it almost like warchief, but in my case dont helps at Warren Instigator,Spike Jester and Boggart Ram-Gang cost (RR, RB and RRR) then i dont know what think. Waiting for your reports :]
Im tried Sensation Gorger: same lord curve for vial, but 50% draw chance. Needs more testing.

I tried today run Hearthfire Hobgoblin. Surprised me how performed, swinging 6-8 easily.

I cut off Wort. She never stay at table and replaced by Hobgoblin. Same lord curves for vial. Thinking about 1 Krenko replacing 1 terminate.

I've been away from the thread for some time now but why on earth are you guys not playing Cavern of Souls?
And why is there even a debate about Goblin Guide? I guess I need to go back to where I started the old primer and do some research.

In case I didn't tell you, I don't care about your opinion I just want your facts. And not the facts that make you seem smart. I want the ones that are actual facts.
Ernest: like the playtesting, the banneret gives kind of a cool wing there, certainly with the augmented amount of lords, however the spirit guide was cute but didn't really help your game there I think. He would open up 4 spaces, and not draining your hand that fast would mean you don't need (at least not 3) refillers. I am very intrested in the harbringer's performance I expected him to be cutted very soon but he's still there
Frogtosser Banneret is definitely a nice speed boost. He fits in real nice with my design, and his hasty nature makes him welcomed to being topped(even if I have one on the board already).
Simian Spirit Guide: I'm honestly not too sure how my deck would work without them. If Rite of Flame wasn't banned, I'd be using that. I'll test it out without him, but I'm not sure if it's going to improve anything. I've a feeling it'll slow me down more than help me out. Any suggestions on what to replace SSG with?
Boggart Harbinger really isn't that bad in my deck. Banneret knocks his CMC down by one("2CMC would make him playable"), and I've got a few ways to cheat him in as well(with vial and instigator). It's really time to put harbinger to the test now that I've got a one-of that he'll actually be searching out.

I agree that banneret wouldn't work well in your deck. There isn't enough that it would be able to help with all the mana-intense creatures in your list.
I decided to go with one Sensation Gorger(dropping a land) and two Reforge the Soul. I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet, but it seems promising, being able to tutor for one and/or miracle the other.
I tried today run Hearthfire Hobgoblin. Surprised me how performed, swinging 6-8 easily.

Most of us are playing a full playset of caverns I think, no? I only run 2, since I run more spells containting RB to cast and then cavern bothers me sometimes. It is not that nessecary in modern anyway (while cavern, lackey is the nicest thing you can do in legacy). The land is not really a budget option either (at 20 a piece).
Don't know if guide is really a debate, the 'lord-heavy' RB versions of the deck don't tend to like him that much. But the RDW-version still does, we have a double deck discussion in this thread I am afraid and some intermediate versions it is interesting. join the ideastream I'd say the topic is back alive!!
Btw. Ernest, since you run the harbringer package, you can use Tuktuk scrapper maybe as artifact hate, that's what I do in legacy with matron. not that good here as it can't be an immidiate awnser, but it curves nice from the 3-drop.
I haven't started thinking about my sideboard yet, to be completely honest. I want to get my main deck all figured out so I Know what would go best in the side to hate on various things. Scrapper seems like he'll make it into the side because of Banneret mained.
The last place in the SB is open till now. Has anyone a better 4 drop than Wort, Boggart Auntie?
A somewhat debatable card is Grim Lavamancer because he has only little to feed from our graveyard and doesn't interact well with Wort.
I've been thinking of trying to fit in Glaring Spotlight so I can fry bogle and sac spotlight to make my creatures hexproof and unblockable, making for a game-winning swing. I can't bring myself to test it out, even though it sounds good in theory.
Mutavault face and I can't believe I didn't put it in this deck sooner.
I'm still standing by Boggart Harbinger. Since I only run two, I don't draw him when I don't want to. And when I Do draw him, I usually think, " hey there, go get a [place goblin lord here] for me please? Kthnx."
Better than Mad Auntie? I really doubt it. But it does its job.
Glaring Spotlight ... i thought many times about it, but it's main purpose is against Geist of Saint Traft in UWR Midrange Decks and against Bogles...iMO that isn't enough to consider this as a real sideboard option.
My first playtesting...great. i used proxies.
Lavamancer didn't convice me, maybe i drop him for Faithless Looting because i want to push forward mid-game but ran out of useful cards or get mana flooded.
I have glaring spotlight as a sideboard option but didn't play it nor dit I test it yet. For the moment spellskite dus more as a good job. Also against boggle very powerfull (usualy autoscoop for them).
For Tron... Do never ever sideboard out you lords you need the toughness. I play Blood Moon as land hate (since it is versatail and can be used against greedy 3 color decks as) and Earwig Squad as they often only play 3 creatures and you can take those out. Or take out extra oblivion stones and stuff (if they already played one) it's a 5/3 as well so it hits hard and is out of pyroclasm range. I take rakdos charm out for pithing needle. It is a difficult deck to play against but if you practice it you'll find the holes in thier plan and can win. I defeated the last one by hitting him for 97 against 3 wurmcoils. He had no outs since I exiled his remaining oblivion stone and singleton firesproud (and had 2 lords out). Was awesome.
About anything goes as long as you can switch around 5-6 cards against bad matchups and about 3 against rather good ones is the rule I use.
I have:
Rakdos charm (Pod, kiki/spintertwin combo/affinity/living end/(tokens?))
magma spray (testing) (pod, random creature decks if I want more removal, dredgevine, zombies) I am testing it but don't know if I want a slot for pod alone
grafdigger's cage (pod, storm, genesis wave-combo, dredgevine, zombies) Earwig squad (Pod?, storm, TRON, living end!!, ad nauseam combo, other random combo decks...) Blood moon (TRON, UWr, Jund/junk, 4x good stuff, random 3C decks)
spellskite (UWr, Jund/junk (?), bogles, affinity)
wort, boggart auntie (testing) (Jund/junk, UWr, death and taxes)
I think i oversideboarded against pod and diluted my deck to much last game, next time I only am going to include cage and magma spray, maybe a rakdos charm but not sure.
other options around, I personally like pithing needle a lot as UWr's wincons are all counting on things it can hit. and it can hit TRON hard as well. depends on your meta ofcourse, people around here tend to like pod, splitertwin, jund/junk and uwr a lot. Affinity is only abundant in large tournaments (mostly international players, germans...).
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to try and work in the cards you mentioned that I put in bold font.
Glaring Spotlight ... i thought many times about it, but it's main purpose is against Geist of Saint Traft in UWR Midrange Decks and against Bogles...iMO that isn't enough to consider this as a real sideboard option.

Lavamancer didn't convice me, maybe i drop him for Faithless Looting because i want to push forward mid-game but ran out of useful cards or get mana flooded.
Thanks for the insight. I'm actually thinking of using it for other creature heavy decks(such as merfolk) so I can have an unblockable swing on turn 3 or 4.
If you want to fill your hand up late game, do NOT us Faithless Looting. It's a Horrible card to use for that reason, as it won't let you get ahead at all. You have to cast it(-1 card) to draw 2(+2 cards), only to discard two cards(-2 cards), leaving you with one less than when you started.
Hence why I use Reforge the Soul. I haven't been able to find a better way to fill my hand up yet after I drop it by turn three and forced to top deck.
Grenade just shines in the very aggressive Version of the deck...Everyony running Aether Vial just misses the spots in his deck.
Rabblemaster is great...except he has no haste...ugly. I think he fits nicely as a 2-of because you only want to cast him if your board state is in your favor.
Looting is mainly to discard Lands, Vial or Looting mid-game, maybe Fanatic, to get some more useful cards and to feed the Lavamancer. In other cases you could get the cards back with Wort.
Faithless loothing is ok if you remember to keep the excess lands in your hand. There is absolutely no reason to have more then 5 lands on the table anyway. (unless you play with reforge the soul, since that refills you hand anyway). You also always have to keep excess lands in hand until your opponent knows what you have. Thay might toughtseize you to see what you have, free damage!
I'm still going to have to disagree with Faithless Looting. Why not go with Night's Whisper or something? Wild Guess needs a card in order to cast it... What if my hand is empty and I top it? Boom, dead card. Same thing with Faithless. If you top it after playing your hand, it's worthless. There's better draw out there for a deck like this than those cards. Heck, Browbeat would work better here than faithless or wild guess.
Grenade just shines in the very aggressive Version of the deck...Everyony running Æther Vial just misses the spots in his deck.
Rabblemaster is great...except he has no haste...ugly. I think he fits nicely as a 2-of because you only want to cast him if your board state is in your favor.
Actually, I don't miss Grenade at all in my deck. Yes, it's cheap(R). Yes, it does 5 damage. But it's 1) a sorcery, and I always end up having to 2) sac important goblins to it if I want to use it. So, it'd sit in my hand for most of the game unless I had a Festering Goblin.
Looting is mainly to discard Lands, Vial or Looting mid-game, maybe Fanatic, to get some more useful cards and to feed the Lavamancer. In other cases you could get the cards back with Wort.
Why go through the hassle of getting your self-discarded cards back, though? Just don't discard them, and you don't have to worry about it. You've got 20 lands in your deck, 2 or three of them being sac lands. You shouldn't get flooded with lands ever. I run 21 land and have yet to get too much mana.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure that Goblin Rabblemaster isn't printed yet. Can't wait to test it out once it is, though. It may make Grenades worth putting in my deck.
Legion Loyalist: Helps a lot! I want have more space to try at least 3, but i dont.
This my ideia: Mirror Entity! A Goblin! White!? Even with just caverns, vial and instigator, this guy can do awesome thing mid-late game. 4/4 Instigator Double Strike + lords bonus, for example. Needs more test, but already showed good things
I'm talking about the RDW version of the deck. What do you think of Browbeat? Could it work? Or is it too slow? Both choices seem good: 5 damage is good on it's own. Our opponent at the third turn is probably already low on life and if not this gives us a quarter of our work. Drawing 3 cards is always drawing 3 cards. It seems good. I think it could be a 2x to play in place of Shared animosity. What do you think? Of course, the problem with drawing 3 cards is that it does not have an immediate impact to the game. But this could give us a chance of drawing more power to throw against our opponent in the next turns...
Not a fan of "opponent chooses" cards, but I still like it more than Shared Animosity as Browbeat will always give you something (almost certainly just fuel) while the other does nothing when your opponent takes control of the board.
BTW at cmc3 it is very expensive and I believe Night's Whisper (or even better Sign in Blood as you can also use it to virtual-Shock the opponent do death) can be a better choice

I'm also curious about stuff like Boggart Mob, Knucklebone Witch, Marsh Flitter, Mudbutton Clanger, Mogg Sentry, Taurean Mauler, Coat of Arms and others, but it doesn't work very well in most of the Decks. Dammit, we have no 2cmc Lord Bomb, like Merfolk.
