"From my rotting body,

Make it easy... look at the last 2-3 sites here and look at the primer.
It's hard to find newer lists of regular 8Whack and Atarka8Whack.
Also, the lists in the primer feel fairly outdated or even budget oriented with one list not including goblin guide which feels wrong.
The only thing I wonder about the stock lists in the primer is the Atarka8Whack list.
Do you guys think 3-4 BTEs are better or just 3-4 token generators like dragon fodder with atarkas command?
kari-zevs-expertise seeme excellent against midrange decks that have huge blockers like jund, death shadow, eldrazi or even company.
Also, Goblin Chieftain has helped a lot to close out games without gas.
I play Vexing Devil in my Goblin deck and it is just awesome here. Vexing with 8 bushwackers and 4 grenade 4 ligthting is unpredictable and very worth imho. In this deck the choice disadvantage is very minimal. What do u think about this?
It can be good yes, but also unpredictable in an inconsistent way. You cannot grenade a devil. They'll let it live if they have a Bolt which can be good but also bad. Decks that gain life or have enough good blockers are also bad for it
It is interesting to see how the thread has done a 180. I remember talks over V.Devil waaaay back. All I can remember is that it had minimal downside, but the over riding factor was the player. Some players thrived on reach (V.Devil, Atarkas, Grenade & Bolt), others on bodies, some on both. Once you figure that out you will figure out if its a fit in the 60. But, there is no hard yes or no. Testing is key. MTGO it if you can.

+1, it is all about the way you want to play the deck
Faced Lantern control, won very quick the first game, second game was controlled by my opponent very early. At third game I kept an slow hand, that cost me the match.
2nd round, faced instant reanimator (lost 0-2) he comboed me on turn 3 both times. Should have look for the Cage more aggresively.
3rd round, stomped affinity, that was satifying. (2-0)
4th round, faced dreadge (lost 0-2). Should have look for the Cage more aggresively. Even that is is a hard matchup. I still think that mulligan more aggresively is key.
5th round, faces eldrazi tron (0-2). On this match I can argue that the deck give me 9 lands. Should have mulligan better.
In second game he was able to remove from my hand the traitorius blood that a drew from bomat off my hand. Are you kidding me??
6th round, faced eggs. Won first game, second game he comboed on his fourth turn. third game he was able to combo on his third turn.
During the tournament I realize how important is to mulligan well in a deck that is practical an aggro combo deck maybe it is more resilent than affinity. The lack of practices on big tournaments affected the game of course. I strongly think that if I would mulligan better the result should have been at least 4-2. But this deck doesn't have enough tools to interact. It is a good deck at his nature.
I'll keep playing it but I'm thinking in not bringing it to another big tourny... It is how I feel guys sorry.

As I've upgraded and tuned my list, I went from goblin kings (I know) to chieftains to just more dudes to wardrivers to cutting the wardrivers. Chieftain just dies. If you're against decks without removal or unskilled opponents, chieftain is good, but I've lost too many games from "before combat, bolt chieftain."
I tried out one Dynacharge and it felt ok so far. I'm trying out two copters. My thinking is that I lose a lot a game from flood, still need 19 lands, and you can crew it in response to the war marshal echo.
Blood Moon: Midn8Walker might be against the card, but I think it counts as another win condition for us. It gives us a fighting chance against Abzan decks, and severely hinders Burn. The tron players are afraid of it (because the have to have an answer immediately or die). It lets us win matches that we cannot win on turn 3-4.
Yes, I am
But I see your point, played SkRedRed for 2years and totally understand the importance of Blood Moon (and came back to it playing it now in a R/B-Control-Shell).
Try to play some Grafdigger's Cage vs Kitchen Finks / Collected / Chord in the SB.
Cut the Fireslinger, they are really bad
Go for more special hatecards, I would play at least 3x Earwig Squad
Maybe add more Fatal Push vs Kor Firewalker/ProtRed-Creatures.
And I love Genesis Chamber vs Controldecks or Death Shadow <3
Beside that the Deck looks fine - since youre RB, any slots open to play Spike Jester or maybe even Mad Auntie?
And why you play Raging Goblin, I usually feel it is 1Mana = do 1dmg :x would play 4x Mogg War Marshal there :>
Good stuff! I'd recommend running the full 4 of Mogg Fanatic (maybe cut one Piledriver), the card is so great, it's always useful. Also I worry that just one Leyline of Punishment is nog enough to be consistently able to cast it for free. Everlasting Torment might be worth a try.
I like the addition of Smuggler's Copter (especially in combination with the Marshal's echo trigger), giving us reach and card selection. Also, kudo's for dusting off Dynacharge! I used to play those before Reckless Bushwhacker was printed. It hits hard and suddenly.
Believe me, I tried making cuts for the 4th fanatic, but I don't think cutting a finisher for disruption is a good idea, yet. I was running two leylines, and in my meta I found myself wanting more big creature removal and non-red removal. I do keep forgetting about Everlasting Torment though. Thanks for reminding me. Dynacharge hasn't seen much action since I just made the change, but have 9 bushwacker effects plus another 1-mana surge enabler that is also a pump promises to be at least not bad. The copters and dynacharge occupy the wardriver slot, which was better than the lords I ran.
This sunday, I will attend a 30-(wo)man modern tournament. I'm inclined to play a bit differently and try some new stuff:
Kari Zev's Expertise: Steals all kinds of creatures. Kills Death's Shadow if we have enough life. The free spell could be one of the many two drops from the sideboard. It would be cool to cast Atarka's Command off it, alas I don't have it yet.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Any suggestions are more than welcome!
Hrm, Shinka looks like cool tech against fish.
Let us know how that expertise works out.

Some posts ago someone already mentiones the expertise-steal is awesome in frontier guess it's in modern as well.
Stealing the Death Shadow, slamming Atarkas Command on the table (or stealing Lord of Atlantis, Goyf, Wurmcoil, Kitchen Finks, Voice (for extra value)....)
Shinka is always funny, 'cause it makes your opponent start thinking "dafuq? what is this?".

At least a perfectly aimed sideboard
Looks quite good, how are the Signal Pests performing?
I just slid them in, actually, so I'll let you know
I do like a sideboard that is reliable. I've never liked having only one of a card in my sideboard - it never seems to draw for me. So, I just pick and choose the decks I really want to take out.
Only briefly mentioned last summer, any experience with Vexing Shusher out of the sideboard, our meta is rife with Grixis.
Since modern is mostly about Lightning Bolt, PtE, Tarfire, Fatal Push (Removal) and you won't encounter much counterspells for creatures (beside playing vs U-Tron)... I don't think theres room for Shusher, he will be just removed and the "cant be countered"abillity... i dont think theres a real use for :'D (played 2 Shusher years ago in my Burnsideboard I think... could be worse, won me some games..)
I play Skred too, I saw you commenting over there. Blood moon is such a powerful card. It's not a pretty way to win, but hey, a win is a win! What's this R/B control shell you're writing about? A new goblin brew?
Genesis Chamber is an cool choice, I would love to try it out! Against which decks do you side it in precisely? Because Kolaghan's Command scares me somewhat :s I'd like some advice on this Smile
Board it in whever your opponent is low on creatures - Grixis Control, JeskaiNahiri, America-Control, maybe Death Shadow, and ofc EsperControl - they can't answer all the little creatures
Fireslinger, Avalancher, Raging Goblin, Lavamancer - thats a nice way to play Goblins, thanks for the explanation not my style but looks fine.
I can't say anything 'bout the black splash, didn't own the lands for it till yesterday ^^ maybe I brew around some midrange R/B-goblin-stuff, had something in my head some months ago, maybe it is time to realise it
So, the one-drop goblins die, a lot. This is where Grim Lavamancer comes in. With so many goblins in the graveyard, it has enough fuel to help deal the last 10 damage. Also, it's another one drop that triggers Foundry Street Denizen. Also, it keeps Goyf and Scooze small. In my experience it has helped a lot. If it sticks, that is.
One last point for this post:
Since most Decks playing Goyf actually fill their own yard, that point is really weak
But I saw yesterday at our FNM again how good the Lavamancer is works fine.

So this may have been brought up but does [Metallic Mimic] have a place in the deck? If it has been discussed can someone please point me to the post and page?
