Long time lurker here, after testing a lot of 8whack, i always same to either board Chieftian out or never board it in, anyone else playing without it?
Yeah. I have no Chieftains in my 75 and I don't miss them.
Went 3-1 last night. Knew I needed Grafdiggers Cage in the board, Abzan is such a terrible matchup. Won against Tron, Tron, Affinity. Lost to Abzan Rally.
Another week placing 1st at my FNM (4-0). Won against Affinity, G/W Auras, Jund & UR Aggro.
Won't change anything from my list for sure. I'm so happy with this comp! ;D
Solid man! The only deck Goblins seems to consistently lose to is Abzan. That deck is strong and stabilizes fast (especially rally, look at their decklist, all 2 for 1 creatures than trigger Zulaport Cutthroat or Blood Artist and get reanimated with Rally :P)
I did make the switch to Devastating Summons. It got me a turn 3 win out of nowhere.
Final thing, last night in the finals match, a friend of the guy I was playing said out loud right after I had drawn my hand, "Why are you running that spell instead of just another Goblin (reguarding Devastating Summons)." It really ticked me off because now the guy I was playing knew (sorta) a card in my hand. What should I have done in this situation?
Went to an FNM this past week with my goblins, went 4-0. Seems it's doing well!
Beat Living End, Kiki-Chord, Delver and GW something.
I'd give a better report, but I don't remember a lot of the details. One that made me laugh was game 2 against the GW deck.. mulled to 6, wound up with Fanatic, BTE, BTE, BTE, Surgewhacker, Mountain. Decided to keep, my scry was a mountain, and then shenanigans. Turn 1 Fanatic, turn 2 everything else. Was pretty funny.
The Kiki-Chord matchup was a little tricky. He comboed game 1, I came back at him game 2, and then Blood Moon lockout in game 3. Felt good.

These sort of hands are the reason i play this deck. Feel great when you empty your hand turn 2 or 3!
I was thinking if there were any decks faster than gobots and I got my answer today. I had a turn one Legion Loyalist that I used to block, obviously it wasn't enough.
This is the creature set I've settled on and I'm liking it. Burning-Tree Emissary pulls so much weight. She almost guarantees the turn 4 kills even with minor disruption and facilitates lots of lines of turn 3 kills goldfishing. I usually like to get 3 lands to win smoothly but she also lets the deck kill off of two lands with little issue. Mainly because she makes Reckless Bushwhacker just as efficient as Goblin Bushwhacker because you dont need the three mana. I can normally wack turn two and again turn three.
Did have chieftain in the two spot before coming here. Can't believe I didn't think of this especially since I played Devastating Red in ROE standard, it's good to be back, this card just further puts of the turn 3 kills, and If i have a burn in my hand I don't even need to sack all my lands. Sometimes one or two is enough.
I will be taking this to FNM and I'll update yall. May go to a Classic this weekend too, If I do I'll update again if anyone wants
Got my ass kicked at the classic this weekend. Oh well. The difference btween this decklist and the one i took were
-1 Summons
+1 Frenzied Goblin
-3 Foundry Street Denizen
+3 Vexing Devil
CoCo Elves 0-2
Game 1 I kept a one land hand that had a lot of explosion. I paid for it, I didn't draw another until it was too late, otherwise I'm sure I would have one game 1. Game two he just beat, Their creatures get in the way.
Affinity 2-0
Game 1 he kept a hand of three Galvanic Blast and used one on a guide. He lost. Game two he drew three cranial Plating and two Vault Skirge. luckily, I had three of my Shattering Spree by turn two. one with 20 life lol
Amulet 2-0
Turn 3 kill then turn 4, no interaction.
Naya Zoo with bushwhackers 0-2
He just beat me, flooded the board and had removal
BUG 1-2
Game one he died easily. game two he had three goyfs and plenty of removal. Game three i got mana flooded and hit by two Inquisitions.
Naya Burn? 0-2
It was zoo but had a lot more burn I think. Game two I had him at 2 he countered a bolt with Lightning Helix and i had him at 1 life but drew duds three turns in a row.
I dropped afterwards, it seemed it was mostly player error on my part but Idk if I could've stopped the elves player and Idk why I had so much trohble with Naya
Yep, like 1-2 months ago. Monored is providing me more stability and It feels awesome. You can only get screwed by your rivals, never by your own.
I still like BTE's, but not in this build. They are awesome, but I just don't have spots for them maining PD.
About SSG's, atm I would only run them on Medrage's build. In any other build they are too risky. Well, maybe in Gobots but I'm not into them (and maybe It's a bad idea too).
Interesting. I'm planning to keep my BTEs in the mono-red version, since they not only kick Bushwhacker, but can also chain Marshal and Piledriver.
The reason why I liked having SSG to go with it is that it allows for some T1s that just have GG written on them, but I agree they mess with consistency a bit, and don't work well with Devastating Summons. We'll see.

What are you using Everlasting Torment for and are you having success with it? Also how's Magmatic Chasm working for you? Shared Animosity is great however I'm not sold on it with Piledrivers.
I'm stoked about Ancestral Vision and want all of the decks to play it haha, even my 8-Rack deck smokes it.

So you dropped the accelerated version with BTEs and SSGs?
