The deck felt great and I was able to 2-0 every opponent until I took a loss to GP Charlotte winner Michael Malone on Infect. I kept a rough hand against him game 3 and got punished.
Matches were Tron, 8 Rack, Infect, and Death and Taxes. I drew round 5 into top 8 where we split.
I swapped a Lightning Helix for a singleton Cryptic, as this deck felt like it needed a little late-game power against BGx decks. It felt okay, and I'm gonna keep running it to see how it plays for a few weeks. I'm mostly off of the Grixis train and sticking with Jeskai for the foreseeable future.
I like the deck but I would suggest swapping out a Spell Snare for a Roast, maybe even find room for another somewhere in the 75. The Eldrazi matchups feel terrible without them and they are only gaining popularity.

I've only really had trouble with Eldrazi when they have Cavern of Souls out. Spell Queller is actually very effective against them. I've found that, as long as I save a Path to Exile for Smasher, it isn't too bad. Not a great matchup by any means, but not so bad that I'd consider running Roast MB.
Glad to see some life in this thread. Im currently testing 2 different versions of Jeskai. One is with delver and one is Midrange without delver.
So far (testing on xmage) the midrange has won WAY more than the delver build. Delver never reliably flips for me.
I am tweaking the list and not giving up on it yet so no worries.
I can say that no matter what version I play, Geist of Saint Traft is a freaking beast, for sure.

This list looks sweet. the only thing I think I'd change is adding some remands to the list. With the addition of Queller in the list, remand along side of Queller, leak, and snare seems really good. not to mention that we are sort of looking for tempo plays anyways right?
I think my list would look something similar to this:
Just my opinion though. I haven't played Jeskai delver since the Splinter Twin era. From what I remember doing with the deck though, I always wanted to have the best tempo plays around. If I'm wrong about Remands though, please let me know what your thoughts on it are. I'd love to hear someone else's opinion about it.

I've actually been testing a couple of Remands for the past two weeks, and they've been performing well. The meta has slowed down some since the last banning and that bodes will for Remand. This is my updated list right now:
I dropped Clique, for a Restoration Angel, because I really wanted a threat that dodged Bolt and Decay. I have a lot of Jund/Abzan in my meta, so being able to have a stronger threat has helped a lot. Also, I was noticing in testing, and at FNM, that I was flashing in my Quellers EOT without using his ability quite often. Restoration Angel makes that a nice play sometimes, as I can sandbag the Restoration Angel and blink an unused Queller to exile a more important spell later in the game. It has come up twice so far and been nice.
I dropped Cryptic Command from my list because, while it was nice to cast sometimes, I rarely find myself on 6 mana to profitably Snapcast the Cryptic back. I also play with Jeskai Flash, and I think Cryptic just demands a higher land count. I've swapped it for a Logic Knot, because I still wanted a counter that can run into the late game even after casting a few Path to Exiles.
Unfortunately, I had to drop from our weekly tournament Monday evening after round 1. I beat Cheri0s 2-0 (probably the easiest match I've played in a long time), and had a family emergency that I left for. But, the week before I made another Top 8 beating Death's Shadow Jund, Eldrazi Tron, RW Prison, and Mono White.
I'm glad to see some folks posting in this thread and I've even seen a few mentions of the deck on Reddit in the last week. Hopefully some more people will try out the deck and see how fun and powerful it can be.
What are your thoughts on dropping electrolyze for vapor snag? When I was playing with geists, vapor snag was invaluable. It did so much work for me. Especially if it meant snagging your own snapcaster back to recast another burn spell.

Vapor Snag could be really interesting, and I have to admit that I haven't tested with it. But, my reason for having Electrolyze is against all of the post-board Lingering Souls coming from Death's Shadow, and for Abzan. It's also nice to have against the Grixis Decks running Young Pyromancer.
I can understand Vapor Snag being awesome if you're running Geist. Bouncing a potential blocker can be backbreaking for the opponent, but I'd rather have an answer to the go-wide strategies with Electrolye. I also have to admit that I play this deck much more like a Midrange/Control deck that happens to use Delver as early pressure against the unfair decks. Vapor Snag might just be a better option in tempo builds/playstyles.
And that's why I was using Vapor Snag. I was playing a tempo/aggro/control type of build. I also never cared for Electrolyze in my delver lists. I always sided more towards forked bolt because it was easier to snap back. the downside is not being able to draw the cards.

I like Forked Bolt as well, but I really like keeping the instant-speed and cycling of Electrolyze. I understand it's a polarizing card, a lot of people don't dig Electrolyze and that's totally justifiable. It's just a card I've enjoyed and had good success with the last month or so.
It's a completely reasonable card to play if you're playing the deck the way you are (as a control deck). I completely agree with playing it. I just like to play Jeskai Delver as a tempo deck rather than a control deck. Your control style makes sense though.

I agree, if I were wanting to be lower-curve and more tempo-oriented, I'd definitely be playing Forked Bolt and considering Vapor Snag.
Electrickery is a great SB card, and one I've thought about testing.
TalesFromAtlantis- Thanks for sharing your results. I really like your deck. It looks very tuned.
I think it's a great time to play jeskai delver. Whenever the meta is somewhat more wide open Delver becomes a great option. I particularly like jeskai because it can be very aggressive against the combo decks.
On the topic of vapor snag, I agree completely. In the more aggressive builds it can be great. I run snapcaster, geist, and bedlam reveler so vapor snag works really well in my build defensively as well. I think the decks that run more mana leak and flash creatures of 3-4 CMC, vapor snag is a bit worse. It's still a great option, but there are probably better options.
Thanks again for sharing the results. It's always awesome to see how other jeskai delver decks are doing!

Thank you for the kind words. I just ordered a set of Geists to try out in the deck. I played Jeskai Geist a couple years ago, and miss jamming that card.
I'm also glad to see others commenting on here! I like Jeskai Delver for the same reasons you described, it can close a game remarkably fast against the unfair decks, but still grind a little against the fair strategies. Can't wait to bounce ideas off of this thread and see what we can come up with.
This is the deck that I used to run back in the Splinter Twin days. I always beat twin because I just had more spells to cast than they did. Used to struggle against Birthing Pod though and neither of the decks are in the format anymore.
I updated the lands and sideboard a little bit.
This version of the deck was a very tempo aggressive version. A lot of the times with this deck, I'd flip Delver and just protect it for a turn or 2 and then slam a Geist and start smashing. The reason i was using forked bolts was because there was a lot of lingering souls running around in my meta. It's also pretty good against Affinity and Zoo. I would be willing to remove the 2 Forked bolts from the main for something more impactful but I would definitely leave the 2 copies in the board.

That's a great looking list! I really dig the Sword of Fire and Ice in the SB. I want to give that card a try if I end up running Geist. How are you liking the Molten Rain? I've been testing Spreading Seas in that same slot for my Jeskai Flash list and it's been pretty sweet so far.
The reason I play molten rain is because it flips delvers. otherwise id play spreading seas. I like the molten rain though because it helps out in the Control matchups and the Tron matchups

I can dig it! It also doesn't hurt that we play more burn spells than other Delver decks, so the two damage from Molten Rain can be good as well. Might consider swapping to that myself.
I'm really liking the Delver lists with 4 Geist of Saint Traft! I wish we could squeeze some Young Pyromancers in there, but I guess you can't have everything...
First Question: this looks like it would really own Tron and Scapeshift, is that true?
Second question: what are the bad matchups?
Third question: I count 27 spells, is that enough to flip Delver often? I haven't played Delver in about a year, but when I did I seem to remember the minimum being 27.
Fourth question: does Fatal Push matter?
Last question: have you tried 3 Snapcasters? I know it sounds weird but that is the perfect number in my Esper deck.
