Young Pyromance dies to removal very easily and makes me run Gitaxian Probe, it is a 2 drop though, which this deck needs.''
lingering souls just makes junk/jund so much better a matchup, I would say almost favorable now/
Doesn't a 4-color manabase just make this deck much worse against Burn, especially if we are cutting faster cards for the relatively slow Lingering Souls?
You can cast souls without black, I do however side out souls and the watery grave against burn.
probably does make it a bit worse, but has made Junk/jund and affinity alot alot alot better.

If you are splashing black for Lingering Souls, have you considered the old plan of sideboarding in the Gifts Ungiven/Unburial Rites combo? It is a bit worse now that Birthing Pod is banned, but reanimating Iona and Elesh Norn still is sweet.
Interesting Idea, but it does take up quite a bit of sideboard slots, and gives the deck a few dead draws, but mostly the amount of slots it takes up.
I feel like we could do it if we were worse of against junk

the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
Guys, I am new in this part of the forum and build just built and played a WUR-Delver deck last week. Just put the cards together before FNM at my LS and ended up 2-2 what I think is quite reasonable for playing a deck for the first time.
I won against UWb-Control and Elves and lost against Twin and Affinity. The Control and the Affinity match was very close, against Twin I had no chance.
Do you have any comment on the decklist? I am playing atm 2 Mana Leak because I don't own 4 Remand . I also do not have any Geist, but anyway I am not so sure if I would like to play them. Maybe 2, but for sure not the full playset.
Can you tell me something about good and bad matchups?
I definitely would run 3-4 Path to Exiles. That should help you a lot against Twin.
Still working on the sideboard any thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, Swiftspear is horrible in this deck. readthethread
Also with 4 Serum Visions and 4 Probes you can go to as low as 18 lands for more spells to flip Delver and make Pyro tokens... and, where are the Snapcaster Mages?
...Last time I played I drew my 1 off Isochron Scepter in 2 out of 3 games and most of the time it was really game winning. Imprinting a Lightning Helix is quite some fun. Also just to look at the peoples faces when you play it, since noone is prepared for this.
I haven't played again Abzan yet, but I guess it is, together with Tron, like the worst MU you can face with the deck. Still I think Valourious Stance is really to situational to implement. I liked the idea of playing Engineered Explosives though.
And just a question at the side. Does anyone knows, why only my 1st card tag works and the following don't
2) Abzan and Tron can be favorable depending on your build. For example, my little experience against Tron was very favorable, although that was when I had 4 Boros Charms maindeck (nullifies their mass removal) and 3 Geist of Saint Traft (Karn just dies to him, more so with Boros Charm backup)
Watch out for etched champions otherwise you should be fine.
Burn 52/48
Don't shock yourself to much, kill their guys, get a fast clock.
Junk
45/55
I assume most of you don't run lingering souls, you can win by but it's not super easy. if you splash black for souls like me this matchup becomes 51/49
Infect 80/20
Very easy when most of your deck is removal spell
those were just the tier 1, ill do other decks on request, ive played this deck alot.

Yeah, not running 4 path is pretty bad, the reason you splash white is for the sideboard it gives you, otherwise Grixis is way better.

Coast is alot better, 19 lands = lots of 1 land hands.
I would cut probes and add a 19th land, I don't know if you made some of the changes that he recommended doing, but I would HIGHLY recommend geist, like pyromancer dies very easily in modern and it's hard for this deck to cast lots of spells without like a scepter or something.
I would recommend
4 delver
4 snap
4 geist
1 clique
or if you splash black for souls
4 delver
4 snap
3 geist
4 souls
or if you want lavamancer
4 delver
4 snap
4 geist
2 grim lavamancer
and if you want more creatures
4 delver

4 geist
2 clique
.

Hi, I'm looking to build RWU delver, I've already got grixis but I like the RWU colors much better. However, what would would replace the tasigur and the fish? Only thing I can really think of is possibly monastery mentor and go heavy into spells. Any ideas?
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.
I'll admit I haven't read the thread, however snaps are normal for both decks so they'll go in without saying. Geist would be good I suppose, but I was honestly wondering about monastery mentor.

You're actively wasting everyone's time, including your own, if you don't even read the last couple pages of the thread. But to answer your question, you must be brand new to Modern Tempo decks if you think Mentor is anything but horrible in Delver. It's fine to be new, but you should really do 5 minutes of reading if you expect your questions to be taken seriously, since all of them have already been answered by people much less new than you.
Don't mean to lash out at you specifically, but I've perceived an increasing amount of laziness from newer MTGS posters lately, and in Delver threads especially. The Grixis Delver thread, too, more than ever since its bump to Tier 2, gets increasingly depressing each day. To ensure these threads remain hubs for productive discussion and not devolve into dribbling streams of the arbitrary "what's the most competitive list right now?", I think posters who care about the archetype and the forum should make a conscious effort to discourage lazy posts. Newer posters should take it upon themselves to do a minimal amount of self-educating before expecting to engage in any kind of meaningful back-and-forth about Delver.

Returning vet here. I played right up until there's dropped and stopped for school. I am hoping someone can explain why steppe Lynxis no longer included. With the new fetch lands it feels he'd be more efficient than ever. I've read back 9 or 10 pages and found nothing on the kitty. I know he's bad late game but this deck isn't much of a late game player anyway. Thoughts?
new players as they show up maybe twice with some budget deck they've spent the week designing and testing only to be beaten into oblivion by expensive decks they cannot hope to obtain and I think this is a tragedy.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
