That depends on the deck your playing against and the board state.
I know it is not the answer your looking for but just try out different plays against different decks and see what works best and what works best for you.

I think thoughtcast is better than Galvanic blast because I would rather refill my hand than have the extra reach. And galvanic blast doesn't kill goyf.
MD Spell Pierce because combo is pretty big in my meta. And a surprise counter game 1 seems handy.

maybe so, but 4 is pretty excessive and quite bold
galv blast has won my countless games aiming it at the head and will never be as potentially "dead" as spell pierce will be at times, not to mention having potentially 2-3 copies in your hand at any given time
i would try no more than 2 spell pierce MD, personally. maybe fill the slots with galv blast (2 spell pierce, 2 galv blast)
get the glimmervoids and its a solid list otherwise

The other temporary version I was considering running
-4 Pierce -4 Thoughtcast -4 Island
+4 Galvanic Blast +4 Shrapnel Blast +4 Mountain
Then playing 3 blood moon in the sideboard.
Edit might even go too cutesy and run 3 and 3 with the burn spells and run 2 MD blood moon.
However, none of them are playable in Affinity, possibly not even Modern
yeah so far none are playable but maybe in the next set..
also, if the next become awake, do you need to active the ability to do infect damage ? Let say you awake at +3 counter + you activate the ability, it's give you a 4/4 flying with infect ?

Correct. The activated ability of the land would give it flying, 1/1, and infect. The awaken spell alone would do none of those things
There is no card rotation in modern.
There is only the banlist and I think Affinity does not have to be afraid of his strongest cards getting banned.
As long as there is so much good and strong hate against us we are perfectly fine.

Played UR Twin, Merfolk, GW Hatebears, Naya Burn, Ad Nauseum, then drew my last round of Swiss. Top 8 was TarmoTwin, Merfolk, Junk. Playing Merfolk twice was lucky but I did manage to fight through Twin twice on the day so I guess it balances out.
First off, congratulations!
Secondly, I haven't been following this thread as closely as I used to but I was under the assumption that Hangarback Walker was deemed underwhelming. What are your thoughts on the card?
On another note, how did you feel about two aether grids in the side? I've been rolling with one but I've never drawn it in any of my games. What decks do you side it in against, just Affinity and Infect or anything else?
Lastly, would you keep your list the same or would you make any changes?
Sorry for the billion questions but I haven't been playing as much modern as I would like to ever since school started but I want to get back into it again soon so little things like this help despite the fact that I've already been playing Affinity for quite a while now.
Hey guys, I'm interested in getting into Affinity and am currently building up my collection of archetype staples. I've accumulated the bulk of the most expensive staples, which are of course the playsets of Mox Opal and Arcbound Ravager along with a playset of Thoughtseize (not really a staple, but a solid sideboard card). I have a buddy that's willing to sell me a playset of Inkmoth Nexus for a good price, which just leaves Glimmervoid as the only card I'd need that's worth more than $10.

Those can work. Another option are Shivan Reef depending on how many of your sideboard cards require colors other than blue and red. They have the added bonus of not hurting you when you don't need the color source.
The key to living end match-up is arcbound ravager. Sacrifice your creatures in response to their living end. Etched champion is very strong. Better than steel overseer and galvanic blast in my opinion but depending on match-up.
Don't keep steel overseer and don't sac hangarback. Galvanic blast is not particularly useful. Bring in torpor orb, relic of progenitus, spell pierce, thoughtseize and dismember. These are the card more useful in the living end match-up.
Hey guys, sorry for the long delay on this but I took second on Virginia's Modern States and now am preparing for the RPTQ this weekend. Changes I am making from my states list would be -2 Blood Moons, +2 Whipflare. I do not think Blood Moon is that great right now and would have rather had those Whipflares for the finals( vs Podless Pod). Here is the list and after this weekend I will do a massive recap on both tournys and a follow up on how this deck currently is going forward in modern! 2nd Place Modern States

Still working on getting glimmervoid.

I think it can hit living end too. it should hose enough decks to warrant a sideboard slot
I would like to know if the new mechanic in boZ - Awaken would work on the Blinkmoth Nexus or the Inkmoth Nexus ?

GB Midrange HomebrewBG
Modern
Affinity X
EDH
Jarad, Golgari Lich LordBG
Are there any viable budget alternatives to Glimmervoid? Would City of Brass or Mana Confluence suffice until I can afford to pay for it?
Modern:
Death's Shadow Jund
Death's Shadow Grixis
Junk
Legacy:
Grixis Delver

I think it might be a "win more" card, but it looks like it has potential.
I will definitely try it out.
