Can I ask if anyone knows if this has this had any paper finishes- small events of 50 players or so in Europe, larger SCGs, PTQ finishes?
The reason I ask is that this deck simply will be unlikely to ever turn up in my city and the places nearby unless it gets a paper finish or a high profile article. It may have more finishes than GW D and T but at a local event I will see D and T a lot. Rightly or wrongly MTGO finishes just don't impact the paper meta here at least that much (people tend to shrug their shoulders at MTGO Daily results and make disparaging noises), nor indeed in the other UK cities I have played Modern in, with the only exceptions being the more ludicrous decks like Norrin or Timewalk. If this deck has had a paper finish or two, even an 8th place in a smaller PTQ, then I know I can expect that it will turn up before long as it looks pretty cheap and people always like ramp......
This list had a recent finish at a tournament of 111 players in Germany. I'm not overly impressed with the list but I do like it still.
If you're sitting on 5 lands I think it's a perfectly fine play to slam a prime time and jump to 9 lands. Mostly likely smash for 6 and get atleast 1 valakut trigger to clear up the board or burn the face.
I actually have had people tap out and go for kill, while i respond in breach/baloth and then scapeshift on my turn. but i will forsure breach if i can with Primetime. Black opens up some had disruption also, which is kinda nice. But abrupt decay/dismember and slaughterpact would be the main reasons for black.

Yes, like this. With 5 lands, 4 of them mountains, tutor 2 Valakut first then attack tutoring mountain number 5 and 6, both giving you two triggers each, for a total of 12 damage. Add the 6 combat damage of Primeval Titan to that and your opponent is probably dead, or at least you have swept his board.
thats awsome, nice to see. I played today online. played 1 daily and 4 2mans and finished 3-1 in daily and 3-1 in 2 mans. only loosing to a delver after 3 cruises resolve. and 1 burn. the daily should of been a 4-0, but i wiffed on 2 summoning traps in same game.
Nice to hear that Rbd340. I am still missing a few cards (mainly Emrakul), but I prox them up and try your list.
Could you write a small report on a FNM or that national qualifier? As well as some words on taking mulligans? That would be really helpful, as there isn't much discussion on the net about this deck.
From what I gather, this RG Trap Valakut deck seems like a pretty fun yet competitive deck to play. I've been looking around for a good ramp deck for a while, and this one seems the best one that fits my playstyle. I tried Green Devotion, but it is quite fragile and auto-folds to too many decks in the current meta. I looked into Gr Tron and RUG Scapeshift but I'm not a fan of either deck, Tron is alright, but I dislike blue, and cards like cryptic command
Anyhow, how well does this deck fare against blue decks with a lot of counterspells? Also would lotus bloom work for additional ramp?
This deck beats most counterspell decks. Two reasons:
1) if they counter your creatures (even with Remand), you get to cast Summoning Trap for free.
2) Breach and Trap are instants, so you can overload your opponent's counters. Play them at the end of his turn and force him to tap out, then cast another bomb on your turn.
Pro tip: if you Breach in a creature at your opponent's EOT, you don't have to sac it until the end of your turn.
Lotus Bloom isn't good. If you're playing stock version, you want ramp spells (as in, spells that search your library for lands and put them into play) because Valakut depends on it. I don't play Valakut, but I wouldn't play Bloom either because your goal is to ramp out a big 4 mana creature on turn 3. Bloom doesn't help accomplish that, since it unSuspends on turn 4 at best.
Worldspine Wurm. Note that you still get the tokens with Breach because you sac it (not exile) at EOT.
You can try Blightsteel Colossus, but it's useless if your opponent has at least 2 toughness worth of blockers.
Pelakka Wurm is ok if you're not facing combo. It's basically a bigger Obstinate Baloth. Easier to hardcast than Wurm or Em, but weaker when Breached in.
I'm planning to write a GP report after Madrid, unfortunatly I don't have much time to write something helpful like a match-up analyse untill then. What do you guys think of the board, any suggestions?
Went undefeated day 1 of the Gp, so currently 9-0
Wait that was you? Great job! If you get paired against Floch, remember that his Delver deck is splashing white for Geist of Saint Traft, but other than that and some sideboard cards seems to have a similar gameplan to UR Delver. Good luck!

Crickey. I guess that answers my own question above. Its a brilliant idea.
He just got his first loss against Twin in game 3, but it was hard fought- his opponent had 2 Spellskites, 2 Blood Moons, and he Combust'd two Pestermites.

Well, I can saw a woman in two, but you won't wanna look in the box when I'm through.
Ah, seems like I miss all his games that are on camera.
But I root for you Rbd340 and wish you good luck. One loss doesn't matter, you can still go for Top8.

I've seen MTGO lists splash black for sideboard Slaughter Games.
