Have any of the people playing black lists tested Shriekmaw? While it doesn't help the affinity match up at all or kill Siege Rhino, it seems like it could do work with flicker shenanigans, and is removal that isn't taxed by Thalia to deal with threats like Tarmogoyf and the like.

I've looked at it, and considered playing it as a 5th removal, but I run bob so it's no good for me :/. I do think other lists could definitely do well with it as a one off, since it's good in board stalls for punching through to finish, and it's efficient extra removal. I DO prefer my removal at instant speed though to handle twin.
went 3-1 again in dailies same deck as above. Beat Angel pod, UWR control and U Tron, lost to Rock/Junk/Abzan whatever you want to call it. Nothing too much to say about the matches. If you have questions i can answer or if you want the breakdown of a certain matchup i will break it down.
Best morphs for us are by far sagu mauler and Akroma. I don't really think it'll get better since we just need raw power, and they seem to want to base the morphs on flipping, not cheating into play.
Many of the D&T decks doing good online use aven riftwatcher has this been discussed here before or had anyone used it to any avail?
It's been tested a bunch as an alternative to finks? But the thing is you only want a life gain card like that against Aggro and burn and those decks don't really block much so there's no need for the evasiveness. When you don't care about the evasion, finks is probably gonna do you much more work. I would maindeck neither personally, but with delver, maybe it's good?

I was looking at mtggoldfish and saw the mono W D&T they list and multiple of these are run main. I'm thinking it's maybe more relevant in that version for evasion? It seems like Kitchen Finks is generally better for us since it won't just die on its own, but I agree with Sheepz in that I wouldn't run either main.
Speaking of which, good news (I think)! When I was looking at mtggoldfish I happened to go through the extended page for the modern meta and saw D&T for a second time. I wondered why it wasn't just under the other one, so I clicked it and voila! It's my list (albeit on a slightly older version)with my name and all! Does anyone know how they collect decklists for their site? But, I was very pleased to see my deck on there.

Playing millions of cards every turn... Slowly and systematically obliterating any chance my opponent has of winning... Clicking the multitude of locking mechanisms into place... Not even trying to win myself until turn 10+ once I have nigh absolute control... Watching my opponent desperately trying to navigate the labyrinthine prison that I've constructed... Seeing the light of hope fade and ultimately extinguished in an excruciatingly slow manner... THAT'S fun Magic.
We have 2-3 users that are dramatically making this thread incomprehensible and non-productive for anyone else to possibly join in the discussion. This needs to change.
Every time I see [ktkenshinx] post in here, I get the impression of a stern dad walking in on a bunch of kids trying to do something dumb and just shaking his head in disappointment.
Near Mint: The same as Slightly Played, but we threw some Altoids in the box we stored it in to cover up the scent of dead mice. Slightly Played: The base condition for all MTG cards. This card looks OK, but there’s one minor annoying ding in it that will always irritate and distract you whenever you draw it. Moderately Played: This card looks like it survived the Tet Offensive tucked inside the waistband of GI underwear. It may smell like it, too. Heavily Played: This card looks like the remains of Mohammed Atta’s passport after 9/11. It may be playable if you double-sleeve it to stop the chunks from falling out. The condition formerly known as "Washing Machine Grade" Damaged: This card is the unfortunate victim of a Mirrorweave/March of the Machines/Chaos Confetti/Mindslaver combo.
[M]aking counterfeit cards is the absolute height of dishonesty. Ask yourself this question: Since most people...are totally cool with the use of proxies...what purpose do [high] quality counterfeit cards serve?
I have some results from a local 14 person event, I ended up going 3-1. I ran a Wu build very similar to @emuhell's Wu build. I was just experimenting with it to see if I liked other variants aside from mono-W. The results were as follows:
Round 1: Jeskai Ascendency (0-2)
Game 1: Mulligan down to 4 cards, but was able to hold on a several turns until he comboed off
Game 2: Sided in Rest in peace and disenchant, but was unable to find either in time before he dug all the way through his deck and used fatestitcher in his combo once again.
Round 2: RG Shaman budget deck (2-0)
Game 1: I was able to quickly get out two blade splicers and swing in for lethal before he could get a critical mass of shamans on the field
Game 2: Sided in Mirran Crusader and was able to quickly bash him before he could get to four land.
Round 3: Reanimator (2-0)
Game 1: Used Thalia, path to exile and blade splicers to bring him down to 0 life before he could get to Through the Breach mana, sided in Mirran Crusader and Rest in Peace
Game 2: Was able to quickly cast Rest in peace within the first couple turns. From there, was able to use Judge's Familiar to stop Through the Breach from resolving while using Mirran Crusader and a golem to finish off my opponent.
Round 4: Titan Bloom (2-0)
Game 1: Used Judge's familiar to prevent mana ramp spell and path to exiled his first titan with Leonin Arbiter on the field and him tapped out. Quickly finished him off with Geist of Saint Traft. Sided in Mirran Crusader.
Game 2: Opponent kept a very bad hand and I was able to quickly finish him off with Mirran Crusader.
Overall, I very much enjoyed running the Wu version of this deck. I would certainly do more of this in the future. It worked very well for my local meta.

"Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest heart."
Match 1: (2-0) R/B Land Destruction
Game 1: Got an Aether Vial out turn 1, he scooped.
Game 2: Got an Aether Vial out turn 1, he lost.
Analysis: I played a few more test games with my opponent, as he was new to the deck and the games I did not get Aether Vial were actually kind of obnoxious and I did lose a few times. Smallpox and Crack the Earth tear at your resources and if you can't at least setup two creatures you're not in a good spot. But because the deck is threat light you can usually come out on top.
Match 2: (2-0) Melira Pod
Game 1: Jav'd his birds, leonin arbiter and fun times with ghost quarter bring a quick game 2.
Game 2: Scullered his Hierarch, and kept him off white the whole game as he sat on 2 gavony townships. A timely path for his scooze and I just swung for the kill.
Analysis: Not much to say here. Wish I could have tested any of my hate out.
Match 3: (1-2) BG(u) Rock
Game 1: Really thrown off by this build. A control version of rock splashing for treasure cruise/remand while mainboarding damnation along with Thrun and Batterskull. I get him down to 5 but thrun into batterskull, equipping the skull to Thrun is a race I can't win.
Game 2: I outplay him with some end of turn flickerwisp triggers and get lethal in the air.
Game 3: I get him to three but a Batterskull just ruins my day along with two 4/5 Tarmagoyfs.
Analysis: Really tough games, the card advantage of Treasure Cruise and the completely out of left field Damnations were not expected. Both in Game 2+3 I never got a single piece of my sideboarded hate. Crusaders/Sword would have really helped against Batterskull/Thrun/Goyf. This matchup was grindy to all hell.
Match 2: (2-1) Mardu Control
Game 1: Another out of left field deck. Phyrexian Arena churns out Bolts/Helices while a Baneslayer Angel finishes me off before I can sink in the final few points of damage. I completely forgot I could use Javelineer to shoot himself to trigger Pontiff's haunt effect (Pontiff was haunting it), which would have let me nuke his lingering souls and push in for the win. This would have been a cool trick...
Game 2: Burrenton Forgetender as a 1 drop into Mark of Asylum a few turns later makes all of his removal useless and I swing for the win soon enough.
Game 3: Extremely grindy game where I get lucky with a top deck path to exile, to path his sculler to get my other path back and path his Baneslayer Angel to swing for the win.
Analysis: Just like Batterskull, Baneslayer Angel is an absolute pain to deal with as their is no way for this deck to profitably deal with it outside of Path.
I might have to put that dismember/maybe that shriekmaw into the sideboard/mainboard. I saw a lot of goyfs out on tables tonight whereas before there were none. Pontiff and Javelineer still do work, but something like Shriekmaw would have defnitely been clutch against goyfs/baneslayer.
@emuhell, the deck that I am running is very similar to yours as I said, but my sideboard is a bit different due to my meta. Like you I am also running 2 Mirran Crusaders. As far as it goes I am considering replacing two judge's familiars with 2 icatian javelineers in order to better remove opposing 1 toughness creatures, such as untransformed delver, birds of paradise and noble hierarchs. Other than that I am not too certain, further testing needs to be conducted.

Goldfish takes dailies on mtgo and major paper events. It just takes then awhile to update. Mirran crusader has helped me win a lot of games out of the side, no question about that slot for me...best is out stalls out pods ground game long enough for me to win in the air.
hi guys i am a new player in modern and i really like the d&t game plan!! I am consider to start building it but i want to make sure it is worth it! I know it is a meta breaking deck and i am preaty sure i can pilot it cause i read guides and saw videos of all the strong modern decks and i also know the decks in my local game store! My q is if it is a good deck in general. One thing that consider me is the card draw, i believe that after a few turns u will have an empty hand with d&t and if u havent control the game at this point what u do? I believe that a mono white deck is a good start and this is a list that i made:
also what do u think about BW or UW d&t are those better than mono white (i dont like the WG version a lot) and are they worth the money to upgrade it? Tnx for ur time and sorry for my bad english :/ !!
if you read back in this thread people have had quite a bit of success with the blue and black splash, each adds different unique aspects to the deck like tidehollow sculler or geist of st traft. I am trying to make red work for me with avalanche riders and electrickery in the side, haven't got it tournament ready yet though. Mono is great way to start abd learn how the deck plays out when to mulligan etc... your deck seems solid not sure if you are going to like 3 finks main, unless your local meta is almost all aggro decks. Many people who play familiar like a 2/2 split with familiar and dryad militant. On the outside it does looks like the deck would run out of steam but straight creature density makes this amazing when games go to top deck mode. I would also try abd squeeze the 4th thalia in, she is amazing 2 drop in the format. Even if you have two in hand most decks have to take down the first.
